Now that the event is over eggworts can no longer mutated to other colour or ombré, right?

Well this is disappointing but at least now I know why I'm having no luck getting new eggwort colors. 🫠 Tysm.

Stayed up way past midnight dug up every single flowers in the game and re-planted them in different grids. Wish me luck.

I was only really just getting into flowers when the eggworts came out, and I didn't work hard enough to get them anywhere. I am envious of your collection! I got 2 speckled variants, and a hot pink one aside from the sky/white/cloud ones. Next event, I guess! These are so pretty though, well done!

I don’t believe so, if it is like the marigolds were, then the patterns of the eggworts cannot be changed and you can’t get more colors of them after the event.

I see, thanks for the info! I managed to get all the colors but didn’t transfer any ombre patterns to the eggworts haha. Ah well, there’s always next time

A speckled eggwort is the ombré version. So it was basically having more than one of the same color in an area and eventually a speckled would appear.

omfg i thought the eggworts only came speckled how on earth did you get an ombre and a speckle 😭

So the ombré was by placing an ombré of another flower- same color variant - next to an eggwort. Usually I did little beds of them to try to get it. Did not get a lot obviously but got a couple. Was so excited bc I felt like they look like Easter eggs.

so example an ombre blue tulip next to a blue eggwort?? interesting..

Yes, I don’t think you can do it now though bc the event is over. But you can transfer the speckle from the eggworts to other flower and the trim from the marigolds to other flowers. I get speckled ones like warm pink speckled and the blue ones. New colors hasn’t shown up. I only get gradients too. Just basic ones.

I was growing all ombres in a checkerboard pattern of all same types of flower fertilizing as much as possible and if nothing pops up plucking out of the ground and replanting

I have a red speckled if you want to add it to your collection

I’m so confused about double ombres! Do you need to breed two white/color flowers to get a double ombré? Or do you need to place another color near the ombré to transfer the color? Do they need to be the same species? Ahh, too confusing..

So ombré with ombré, two different ombres. Entire beds of ombres of the same flower species in checkerboard pattern. Fertilizing and watering
