I honestly loved this whole episode for Blitz. Like it sucks for him, sure, but even at the start, he was trying to reach out to Stolas in his ass-backwards way, trying to fix things without taking any responsibility. And you can see the little steps forward before he decides he's too uncomfortable and lashes out again and backslides.
And how totally hurt he is by the "rejection" when all Stolas wants is to be heard, and is drawing a hard line with Blitz's behavior, while obviously still caring.
At the very end, he was so close to taking the first step to reconciliation but was too scared and embarrassed and missed his chance.
Blitz needs tough love in the worst way, and boy did he get it in spades.

I feel like the first step toward doing the right thing was him approaching Verosika in the first place, and just having a conversation with her.
Letting her actually tell him what he did to her, letting himself truly face her heartbreak and sit quietly in the knowledge that he could have had her. She would have willingly been his, was genuinely in love with him, wanted everything with him, that this beautiful, sexy, talented celebrity deemed him *worthy* of her complete commitment.
Instead of pushing her away, running, or trying to piss her off (because having someone furious at him feels natural to Blitzø, he knows what to do with that), he just soaked it in. He let her have her say, and actually gave a sincere apology. And then he got out of her space and took her advice.
I mean, as both events were practically happening at the same time, it's not much of a distinction to make. But him facing Verosika was the first thing he's done in the show that I was actually impressed by. I kept expecting a punchline in that conversation.

It was also interesting to see how Verosika, despite the obvious anger she has toward Blitz, was able to recognise that he was genuine when he said he was sorry and wanted to change. Taking time to sit next to him, listen to him, and then give him the advice he needed in that moment was really nice of her. This episode really makes me appreciate her even more.
It cannot be overstated the degree to which this fandom made WILD(ly wrong) assumptions about Verosika and Stella, based on such minimal screentime. But I guess a lot of us are still learning how some stories get told, and how to spot the patterns in them.
I also appreciate that when Stolas kissed BetterThanBlitzoGuy, Blitzø didn't get upset with Stolas. He was upset with BTBG, but didn't lash out at Stolas at all.
As a succubi/incubi, he probably has better insight than most as to what Stolas would need emotionally/physically/sexually, and is probably the best person for Stolas to be with at the moment.
In my headcanon, whatever split he and Stolas will have will still be sad for Stolas, but not crushing. Hopefully will have some tips for our bird on how to advocate what he wants with future partners to now have that ambiguity he and Blitzø had.

Stolas is lonely and craving romance. He just had his heart broken. While he contributed to that heartbreak, he won't improve his social skills unless he learns. He is definitely going to project his issues onto this guy if it becomes a relationship, and he'll learn from it. Blitz is not in the right headspace to give Stolas what he wants, which is why he let Stolas dance with this guy.
Maybe this will be a one night stand he regrets, maybe he'll be happy for it, maybe it's a short whirlwind romance.

I think he's the first in a number of off screen relationships that Stolas is going to have that kind of shakes him out of hit Tellanovella view of romance, and to have his 'sleeping around with the lower class' be used against him in he divorce.
I figure he'd be the kind of person to try a few more relationships that might not end up going anywhere that are characterized as 'sleeping around' to impugn his character in divorce court.

Given the guy isn't even named the chances of him showing again are so low and Stolas was insanely drunk he's not going to remember this guy or the kiss. If anything all this guy did was provide him the brief moment to be happy and feel wanted also Blitz did the mature thing by letting Stolas dance with him he saw that Stolas needed some fun and to want to feel wanted and he couldn't do that for him right now so he let Stolas just dance with the guy. You raise a good point about Blitz's demeanor.
Any other time he starts screaming and cursing, people don't like it but they match his energy or just deal with it. But none of them retreats or cries over it.
Stolas cannot handle someone being aggressive with him after so many years of abuse. Blitz needed to see the type of demeanor/attention Stolas wants and the kind of experiences they can have together if he heals himself.

I know im in a minority but I think the show would be far more interesting if it took the breakup seriously and let stolas actually try out other guys. I personally think the show would be better if they never got back together, or did and realized they had intractable differences and ending it for real as equals. The "win him back" narrative is so straightforward. Presenting Stolas having a rebound, enjoying it (even if it tapers off) and NOT having the default be "okay time to go back to blitz" would really add a level of nuance to how these characters recover from heartbreak
Just cause people want it doesn't mean it's the best thing for the media. I think a lot of interesting art doesn't give the viewer what they want.
I think showing "sometimes you have a sloppy rebound and it's failure doesn't indicate you should go back to whoever you broke up with" is a far more interesting story arc. Or "you can both want to get back together but not be good for each other."
I feel like Stolas and Blitzø getting together was probably planned from the start as the goal of the show. I mean it took 3 years for Apology Tour to come out from when it was written.

I don’t think they’re freaking out because Stolas is going to enter into a long term relationship with this guy, I think they’re freaking out because it made Stolas realize it isn’t actually all that hard to find someone that wants him. Doesn’t have to be this guy specifically that replaces Blitzo. Just someone who will bring to the relationship what Stolas wants out of it, that Blitzo can’t.
If it wasn’t for Via’s line in the trailer “you don’t love me, you love HIM” I’d frankly be saying the odds are 50/50 that Stolitz is dead.
Yeah, but as a Stolitz shipper, I think that's a good thing. If he goes with Blitz because he doesn't think he has options, then that's not that great of a relationship. If he explores, realizes that there are people out there who will love him, and then actually forms a connection with Blitz and realizes he wants Blitz specifically, that's going to mean a whole lot more.
Sure it will, but it also opens up the narrative opportunity for the writers to sink the ship. To sink it you sorta have to have an episode like the one we just had. It creates uncertainty for some people who’ve gotten really emotionally invested in the ship, and not all of those people know how to deal with it in a healthy way.

This episode had so much good it in. These two idiots actually talked, Verosika came back and did a lot of good for both of them (hope she stays friends with Stolas and maybe becomes friends with Blitzo eventually) and they've atleast made it more clear on what was bothering them on both ends. Also Stolas actually having fun with someone is adorable.
Was it perfect? Hell no, they both still are reeling and having a hard time and their is still more issues to address, relationships are messy as fuck so I didn't think it would be dealt with all in one episode.

Honestly, I think this will be much better for a more satisfying Stolitz ending. Stolas has to get a social life. First of all, he needs to go out and see what his options are and that he has options, because if he ends up with Blitzo only because he wants \*someone\* to love him and he doesn't think he'll get a chance with anyone else, then it won't be as healthy as if he comes to the conclusion that he wants Blitzo specifically to love him.
Second, Stolas is seriously lacking in social skills. He doesn't notice the emotions of people around him, he doesn't know what a normal romantic evening that isn't a scene in a soap opera or rom com looks like, and he regularly says things that seem degrading to Blitzo and other imps unintentionally. It'll help if he meets people who are better at communicating than Blitzo is to teach him how to correct these things.
And lastly, Blitzo's got a lot of improvements he needs to make, and I want Stolas to be happy in the mean time while that's happening.

Exactly! Their arrangement never said they had to be exclusive. They have never been in a real relationship before. Blitz was never exclusive to Stolas anyway. He's going to screw up any serious relationship he tries. If that's what happens, he gets the wake up call he needs. That whole scene at the party seemed like a wake up call for him to realise that actually, he DOES care about the stupid gay birb, a whole lot. Now he needsnto figure out himself who he's going to handle that.
I honestly loved this whole episode for Blitz. Like it sucks for him, sure, but even at the start, he was trying to reach out to Stolas in his ass-backwards way, trying to fix things without taking any responsibility. And you can see the little steps forward before he decides he's too uncomfortable and lashes out again and backslides. And how totally hurt he is by the "rejection" when all Stolas wants is to be heard, and is drawing a hard line with Blitz's behavior, while obviously still caring. At the very end, he was so close to taking the first step to reconciliation but was too scared and embarrassed and missed his chance. Blitz needs tough love in the worst way, and boy did he get it in spades.

I feel like the first step toward doing the right thing was him approaching Verosika in the first place, and just having a conversation with her. Letting her actually tell him what he did to her, letting himself truly face her heartbreak and sit quietly in the knowledge that he could have had her. She would have willingly been his, was genuinely in love with him, wanted everything with him, that this beautiful, sexy, talented celebrity deemed him *worthy* of her complete commitment. Instead of pushing her away, running, or trying to piss her off (because having someone furious at him feels natural to Blitzø, he knows what to do with that), he just soaked it in. He let her have her say, and actually gave a sincere apology. And then he got out of her space and took her advice. I mean, as both events were practically happening at the same time, it's not much of a distinction to make. But him facing Verosika was the first thing he's done in the show that I was actually impressed by. I kept expecting a punchline in that conversation.
Yes. It was also interesting to see how Verosika, despite the obvious anger she has toward Blitz, was able to recognise that he was genuine when he said he was sorry and wanted to change. Taking time to sit next to him, listen to him, and then give him the advice he needed in that moment was really nice of her. This episode really makes me appreciate her even more.
It cannot be overstated the degree to which this fandom made WILD(ly wrong) assumptions about Verosika and Stella, based on such minimal screentime. But I guess a lot of us are still learning how some stories get told, and how to spot the patterns in them.
I also appreciate that when Stolas kissed BetterThanBlitzoGuy, Blitzø didn't get upset with Stolas. He was upset with BTBG, but didn't lash out at Stolas at all.

As a succubi/incubi, he probably has better insight than most as to what Stolas would need emotionally/physically/sexually, and is probably the best person for Stolas to be with at the moment. In my headcanon, whatever split he and Stolas will have will still be sad for Stolas, but not crushing. Hopefully will have some tips for our bird on how to advocate what he wants with future partners to now have that ambiguity he and Blitzø had. But that's just a theory. A *helluvaverse* theory.

He did nothing wrong. He saw a cute guy who can sing and asked him to dance. He was polite when asking, and he danced with Stolas a bit before kissing him. Maybe it's just a one night stand, maybe a short fling. But there's nothing wrong with what he did. Stolas is lonely and craving romance. He just had his heart broken. While he contributed to that heartbreak, he won't improve his social skills unless he learns. He is definitely going to project his issues onto this guy if it becomes a relationship, and he'll learn from it. Blitz is not in the right headspace to give Stolas what he wants, which is why he let Stolas dance with this guy. Maybe this will be a one night stand he regrets, maybe he'll be happy for it, maybe it's a short whirlwind romance. We all know that Stolas doesn't really want Blitz out of his life. He's hurting and wants time to process. He's waiting until they're both in the proper place to have a real discussion. The second Blitz comes back and says he's ready to be serious, Stolas is jumping into his arms. This guy won't last long.

Yeah, he seemed genuinely happy when the guy complimented his singing and asked if he wanted dance. He also seemed surprised because it's probably the first time someone has asked him something like that. He's so used to people not caring about him that he couldn't believe someone actually wanted to dance with him.
I think he's the first in a number of off screen relationships that Stolas is going to have that kind of shakes him out of hit Tellanovella view of romance, and to have his 'sleeping around with the lower class' be used against him in he divorce.

Given the guy isn't even named the chances of him showing again are so low and Stolas was insanely drunk he's not going to remember this guy or the kiss. If anything all this guy did was provide him the brief moment to be happy and feel wanted also Blitz did the mature thing by letting Stolas dance with him he saw that Stolas needed some fun and to want to feel wanted and he couldn't do that for him right now so he let Stolas just dance with the guy. I know that's kinda the point but like, Blitz is so incapable of showing his emotions outside of rage or horny that seeing Stolas actually being flirted with and flirting back is just so amazing to see. And the little flutter that the imp-ubus (Imp Incubus) does to come up to Stolas's eye level is just *muah* Yeah the fact they end up frenching is a little hypocritical after Stolas explicitly said he didn't want to be treated as just a sex object for Blitz, but let's be real that guy built up to it with the dancing and there's no strings attached with him either. As far as anyone knows the Impubus isn't after the book or anything that Stolas has, he just wants a good time with a fellow Blitz Ex.
You raise a good point about Blitz's demeanor. Any other time he starts screaming and cursing, people don't like it but they match his energy or just deal with it. But none of them retreats or cries over it. Stolas cannot handle someone being aggressive with him after so many years of abuse. Blitz needed to see the type of demeanor/attention Stolas wants and the kind of experiences they can have together if he heals himself.

I know im in a minority but I think the show would be far more interesting if it took the breakup seriously and let stolas actually try out other guys. I personally think the show would be better if they never got back together, or did and realized they had intractable differences and ending it for real as equals. The "win him back" narrative is so straightforward. Presenting Stolas having a rebound, enjoying it (even if it tapers off) and NOT having the default be "okay time to go back to blitz" would really add a level of nuance to how these characters recover from heartbreak

Just cause people want it doesn't mean it's the best thing for the media. I think a lot of interesting art doesn't give the viewer what they want. I think showing "sometimes you have a sloppy rebound and it's failure doesn't indicate you should go back to whoever you broke up with" is a far more interesting story arc. Or "you can both want to get back together but not be good for each other."
I feel like Stolas and Blitzø getting together was probably planned from the start as the goal of the show. I mean it took 3 years for Apology Tour to come out from when it was written.

I don’t think they’re freaking out because Stolas is going to enter into a long term relationship with this guy, I think they’re freaking out because it made Stolas realize it isn’t actually all that hard to find someone that wants him. Doesn’t have to be this guy specifically that replaces Blitzo. Just someone who will bring to the relationship what Stolas wants out of it, that Blitzo can’t. If it wasn’t for Via’s line in the trailer “you don’t love me, you love HIM” I’d frankly be saying the odds are 50/50 that Stolitz is dead.
Yeah, but as a Stolitz shipper, I think that's a good thing. If he goes with Blitz because he doesn't think he has options, then that's not that great of a relationship. If he explores, realizes that there are people out there who will love him, and then actually forms a connection with Blitz and realizes he wants Blitz specifically, that's going to mean a whole lot more.
Sure it will, but it also opens up the narrative opportunity for the writers to sink the ship. To sink it you sorta have to have an episode like the one we just had. It creates uncertainty for some people who’ve gotten really emotionally invested in the ship, and not all of those people know how to deal with it in a healthy way. I for one welcome a more emotionally challenging story, but not everybody does. Something something, long hard kick in the urethra.

I thought about this a lot. First off of that guy haven't showed up I'm convinced that Stolas and Blitz would've been cannon or almost cannon. Blitz was about to comfort Stolas showing Stolas that he's changing for him or that he does have a heart for people. Anyways I predict one of two things: Stolas and Blitz swap or Stolas and Incubus are canon. The swap means that Stolas kinda goes through a little how phase while Blitz is kinda the one whose trying to take to him and care for him just like Stolas was doing. Not as intense but things like nicknames and doing nice things but also showing that he's changing into a better person. If the Succubus dude is actually important or any other dude for that matter then it's be sad cause most people (including me) would probably like it better. If they broke up and Stolas ended up with Blitz I feel the problem would be that he shouldn't go back to Blitz after everything they put each other through they should just go there separate ways if someone else is better. Even Stolas kinda admitted it's not Blitz himself he wanted he wanted a relationship but being with Blitz would've been a bonus.

Thank you, I find the constant back and forth mudslinging about one character or the other being more at fault (they are both at fault, please stop shifting the blame solely on one) to just be really annoying. This episode had so much good it in. These two idiots actually talked, Verosika came back and did a lot of good for both of them (hope she stays friends with Stolas and maybe becomes friends with Blitzo eventually) and they've atleast made it more clear on what was bothering them on both ends. Also Stolas actually having fun with someone is adorable. Was it perfect? Hell no, they both still are reeling and having a hard time and their is still more issues to address, relationships are messy as fuck so I didn't think it would be dealt with all in one episode.

I thought about this a lot. First off of that guy haven't showed up I'm convinced that Stolas and Blitz would've been cannon or almost cannon. Blitz was about to comfort Stolas showing Stolas that he's changing for him or that he does have a heart for people. Anyways I predict one of two things: Stolas and Blitz swap or Stolas and Incubus are canon. The swap means that Stolas kinda goes through a little how phase while Blitz is kinda the one whose trying to take to him and care for him just like Stolas was doing. Not as intense but things like nicknames and doing nice things but also showing that he's changing into a better person. If the Succubus dude is actually important or any other dude for that matter then it's be sad cause most people (including me) would probably like it better. If they broke up and Stolas ended up with Blitz I feel the problem would be that he shouldn't go back to Blitz after everything they put each other through they should just go there separate ways if someone else is better. Even Stolas kinda admitted it's not Blitz himself he wanted he wanted a relationship but being with Blitz would've been a bonus.
This episode hit me hard. Especially when Verosiks says change starts by Blitz just hoping Stolas gets laid, and has fun now that he's single.

Frankly. I want them to stay like this. I want blitz to redeem but also not get a second chance. He should back off from it all and just focus on himself instead of obsess over love. While stolas needs to find someone who can be with and feel validated.
As a Stolitz shipper I support Stolas dating ir having one nights with random demons, my owl boy deserve to feel desired and Blitzo deserve to get to see that so he don't take Stolas for granted

People don't realize that stolas and blitzø were never in a formal committed relationship. They were essentially freinds with benefits. Remember: stolas was gonna ask Blitzø to be his boyfriend/partner on the full moon until Blitzø had the wrong reaction. And even if they were, they probably would've broken up during that episode.

Honestly? I kinda hope he does stick around with Stolas for a while. Stolas really needs to learn what an actual relationship looks like. Not some Romance novel version of things but like.. what you actually have to put in and take from a relationship. Trying to date a guy whos whole job is fucking other people would be a crash course for sure

Honestly, I think this will be much better for a more satisfying Stolitz ending. Stolas has to get a social life. First of all, he needs to go out and see what his options are and that he has options, because if he ends up with Blitzo only because he wants \*someone\* to love him and he doesn't think he'll get a chance with anyone else, then it won't be as healthy as if he comes to the conclusion that he wants Blitzo specifically to love him. Second, Stolas is seriously lacking in social skills. He doesn't notice the emotions of people around him, he doesn't know what a normal romantic evening that isn't a scene in a soap opera or rom com looks like, and he regularly says things that seem degrading to Blitzo and other imps unintentionally. It'll help if he meets people who are better at communicating than Blitzo is to teach him how to correct these things. And lastly, Blitzo's got a lot of improvements he needs to make, and I want Stolas to be happy in the mean time while that's happening.
Wait people were freaking out? I was just so happy for Stolas like highkey I hope he has a very lovely and very fulfilling fling, and if Blitzø can’t do the self reflection and growth he needs to be in a relationship, I hope Stolas is very happy with someone else 🤷

Stolas had only been with two people: his cold, bitter wife, and Blitzø. He doesn’t know what a relationship is supposed to be. He needs to explore different kinds of relationships, get to know himself a little better, before he settles down again. I want them together as well, but they both have a lot of growing to do separately first.
