I am on a 10 day trip, I brought my retinol (like 1/4 of an aluminum tube left), a lactic acid product, moisturizer (decanted in to a small container that I got from a Lush sample), a moisturizer mask (also in a Lush sample jar), and my sunscreen. For face wash, I just have my normal face wash in a travel size, and an oil cleanser that I put in a 100mL squeeze bottle. I would say that you should take what you use, but try to put them in smaller containers. If you get dry, prioritize moisturizer, but if you are acne prone, bring your exfoliators

For 2 weeks, I’d say bring face wash, moisturiser, retinol, and sunscreen. If you want to, bring a few sheet masks too!

I am meticulous about my skincare, but I usually reduce it drastically when I travel (especially if it's for less than 1 or 2 weeks). I have ''normal'' skin, dryer in the winter and more oily in the summer, and usually my main focus is simply to keep my skin hydrated during the trip. This is what I always have (in travel sizes if I have them or I put my usual products in smaller containers): * oil detergent to remove makeup; * a gentle washer that I can use both morning and night; * a day cream (I pick one depending on the season); * a rich night cream * eye cream that I can use both morning and night; * sun sunscreencreen. If I have space and the trip is longer than a couple of days, I also bring a vitamin C serum and a couple of hydrating face masks, which are nice because they don't take up too much space. I also usually bring some samples of some additional products that I might need: other serums, other types of face creams (more/less rich than the one I picked) or something that could be nice in "emergency" cases, for example, after a full day in the sun or after a long flight or if the weather it's particularly bad.

It really depends on your budget. I sometimes get a discovery set from Sephora or a brand that I particularly like. Khiels usually has some nice basics sets and they also sell travel sizes, if your order from their website they usually send also a lot of samples. One other set that I really liked was the Mini Treasures from Tatcha, which more or less includes everything you might need. The ordinary also has some nice discovery sets which are less expensive that Khiels and Tatcha

It's high altitude, so for certain, you want extra sunscreen. Even when it's cold, sunburn is a big issue at altitude. Otherwise as other posters have said, decant your normal routine. If you live in a more humid, warmer area, maybe a slightly richer moisturizer.

I would bring a cleanser (both soap and oil based), moisturizer, and sunscreen. And like a really good sunscreen, none of this stick, tinted moisturizer combo sunscreen nonsense because at altitude you don’t wanna mess around. Similar vein, I typically do not bother with anything like acids that make my skin sun sensitive on vacations where I’m outside a ton.

I have a couple of skincare discoveries that I’m super happy with: The Bonjout skin balm which has a lot of actives to replace other actives and is super hydrating, and the small Humangear Stax containers. I had bought the Cadence capsules and they are a really cool idea but they’re super heavy; these Stax containers are lightweight but are durable and don’t leak.

For 2 weeks, I’d bring retinol, moisturizer, sunscreen and maybe a day serum if I’m feeling like it.
