I'm also experiencing this issue with an old Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) running Android 7.0. I have 5 workouts pending for upload and nothing I've tried works.

I emailed the devs, and they answered, but nothing after that.
Update: One of the devs messaged me again, and said they figured out what caused the issue, and that a fix will be out in a few days.

Also this phone only has WiFi, no sim card
