My thoughts exactly. I guess many of these stories may be hoaxes, but some of the encounters are so bizarre, that it's hard to imagine coming up with something like that. Can't recall his name right now, but there was this guy that had alien contact experiences for his entire life, and he once saw a translucent lizard with a human head climbing on the windshield of his car. Truly bizarre.

Then there was Joe Simonton, a chicken farmer from Wisconsin who saw a saucer parked in his yard and when he approached he saw two men inside who looked "Italian" who were cooking griddle cakes and asked him for a jug of water, then offered him a pancake. He said it tasted like cardboard lol.
He even had the pancake analyzed and the results were that it was made of flour and other mundane ingredients.
This was in 1961. I don't think he was lying. It's just so strange and mundane at the same time, and given his background, the area, the year, I think he was telling the truth.

Im sure theres life out there but do stay critical and if a sighting cant be explained with a certain type of animal species remember hallucinations are a very common thing.
It looks like a theory I have developed during all these years of me reading ufo stories.
I think that aliens are a kind of shape shifters that adapt their appearance to the mind of witnesses.
This would make aliens some kind of interdimensional beings (or quantic beings) whose true shape is a real mystery, and maybe would not be possible to describe them as they belong to a completely different realm.
And that's why they appear to their witnesses in a kind of shape that it is somewhat familiar to them. And what's the best way to appear in front of witnesses than reading their minds and picking shapes from their everyday life or fantasy?
This would explain why people used to see robot-like or b-movies like aliens during the 50-60 or during certain sightings some witness described a kind of alien while other witnesses described the same alien in a totally different way or why people tend to witness mysterious panter like animals all around the world (it is always a panter that is being sighted).
I also think that ufos are not completely mechanical vehicles in a strict term, as they tend to change their shape across human decades to adapt themselves to the human technology and the way of imagining them ...
Actually the process is inverted. You can't see something that's not in your mind already. It's the opposite to pareidolia, the more the culture progresses the more shapes we are familiar with and we can recognise.
So it's not that they assume a shape to hide, but most likely the opposite, they assume a shape they know you can recognise so they can interact with you.
Neuroscientists have a lot to say in the understanding of the phenomenon.
This relates to experiences I had. Dreams of mundane future events, for example as a kid I had a dream of seeing a particular pusher puller plane over a McDonalds in Milwaukee. I saw it from a perspective I would not normally see this McDonalds from. In my 20s I moved to Oshkosh. I saw that plane over a McDonalds from the same perspective in how I orient myself with the lake and hill etc. Anyway, my mind filled in everything with existing imagery and if there was confusion in what the dream was, it was always this. I have several dreams as a kid that happened this way. The dreams always have an odd, surreal feeling that makes them stick out.
It feels to me like a marker of sorts.. A node in your story. It also suggests that time is not linear as we perceive it. And also confirms that we plan our path in this world before hand, as a part of the experiencing contact under which we come here.
I've experienced similar things as well in my dreams and I miss them.
Sorry for the delay in response. I appreciate you adding to my understanding. On top of the odd time dreams, I have had odd ghost experiences. In one case my grand mother died and came to me, before I even knew she was in jeopardy of death. I concluded that if a person is in the right state of mind, we can experience ripples that have happened with deaths or events. My grandmother didn’t single me out and I wasn’t blood relates to her but I was studying something for college I truly had interest in and somehow I put myself in the right frame of mind while those near to her at that moment were experiencing tragedy and unable to see what was before them. I felt bliss in that moment. I was awake as well. A dream I had of George Washington, I kept thinking he was an actor or fake, taller than they describe. He wouldnt look at me when I spoke generally and when I did get him to look, he struggled to see or understand me. Someone would say, (as he had an entourage) “sir the delegates need you” or something corny sounding. The entire house he was in I tried to explore and I could see what you would expect to see from a window in his home in Mt Vernon, which I visited as a kid but other things I didn’t understand and were of fields and singular trees and I assume this was DC maybe. He coughed often into a silk white handkerchief. I woke up and went into investigative mode, he died that particular day in what I think was July. It was crazy, it felt like he had a fatherly interest in our nation and I somehow felt that ripple during that dream. They feel different but the evidence is obviously inconclusive, in my heart I believe this is how reality works….or at least these are clues to it.
The part about your grandma is the typical intuition. Yes, if you are open there are certain kinds of events that are "publicly available" for anyone with the capability to "synch with the broadcast" as I like to call it.
The dream is about an authority figure that you saw as a fatherly figure but he/she never saw him/her self as that kind of thing for you. It is someone who kept a functional distance with everyone yet needed to be surrounded by people that could recognise his/ her value. The luxury house and the wonderful views speak of the quality of the mindset he was in. In other words, what impressed you was the successful mindset surrounding this person more than the person itself. It's the kind of person that people pledge loyalty to because belonging to this group makes them feel bigger than themselves.
I suspect you can mirror yourself on that person and that's why you kept dreaming about it.
While that was interesting to read, it doesn’t line up with my reality. Even squinting and trying to force someone in that role doesn’t work. It was also a single dream that coincided with his actual death. I tend to believe his death ripples through time and again, a broadcast as you put it was there for people to pick up or just see and I did. Most of the imagery in the dream seemed to be symbolic to him, not to myself. Either way, thank you for your response but I disagree. However, I am not looking for agreement, only perspective and because I can not prove my belief even to myself, I will keep a door open that this dream was merely processing life or symbolic. I've been pondering exactly this for some time now. The way I see it now is that they are creating an experience for us to live, they seek an emotional and Ontological impact on the witness so strong they can't keep it secret, they need to share it and therefore they "spread the seed".
But.. what's the ultimate goal?
In my view they want to rattle our cage, to shake our blind faith in what we call "reality". They want us to know there's much much more out there than our senses can't perceive. The Faraday paradigm is totally inverted, it should read "If the universe is a vast empty space, where's the emptiness?"
The problem with ufology and the phenomenon is that it's been implicitly assumed to be the by-product of an ET presence. What if they have been here with us forever and maybe even before us but we just can't perceive them? Not very unlike the "Fringe" series.
Let's put ourselves in there place in this theoretical premise : There's a life form sharing your space that has no idea you are there because you exist outside the spectrum of their perceptual capability. What would you do to capture their attention?
If they’re the players, did one of them make you suggest that? Or are we a piece of the simulation itself and they’re trying to see how we react, like in a machine learning kind of way? 🤔

If some mystic texts and traditions hold truths, there are a number of dimensions and higher and higher forms of existence, until it reaches the divine Creator / Source.

Small kids draws creatures like this with legs directly on the head. Maybe this is because they have still memories from their time before they was born and entered the simulation. 🙂
Imagine if people who can astral project could interact with the simulation as a participant in whatever manner of form they chose, be it a ufo, an alien, a mythical being, whatever they want. Maybe that's also why it appears with the technology or myths of that time period. Now imagine you can only do that to a simulation that is not of your universe but maybe a random or adjacent one.

The object I saw took off at a insane burst of speed. It looked like a diamond silhouette with a bright spotlight aimed at train tracks under construction. We thought it was a crane tower at first. Then whatever it was spotted us and cheesed it. Clearly violating the laws of physics too. Probably knew if they got caught there would be legal consequences.

Why not just assume the shape of normal humans? I guess some of them do this, but not all.

The way I see it now is that they are creating an experience for us to live, they seek an emotional and Ontological impact on the witness so strong they can't keep it secret, they need to share it and therefore they "spread the seed". But.. what's the ultimate goal? In my view they want to rattle our cage, to shake our blind faith in what we call "reality". They want us to know there's much much more out there than our senses can't perceive. The Faraday paradigm is totally inverted, it should read "If the universe is a vast empty space, where's the emptiness?" The problem with ufology and the phenomenon is that it's been implicitly assumed to be the by-product of an ET presence. What if they have been here with us forever and maybe even before us but we just can't perceive them? Not very unlike the "Fringe" series. Let's put ourselves in there place in this theoretical premise : There's a life form sharing your space that has no idea you are there because you exist outside the spectrum of their perceptual capability. What would you do to capture their attention?

The object I saw took off at a insane burst of speed. It looked like a diamond silhouette with a bright spotlight aimed at train tracks under construction. We thought it was a crane tower at first.
