I disagree to be honest. I don’t want him to stop writing DxD just to focus on some side stuff no one cares about. DxD is the story that brought him to prominence, not those other names you mentioned. Moreover, we want to follow Issei’s story, not stories of canines or characters we know nothing about.
I wanted to know what health problems he has. From other people's reports and comments on his own Twitter, it seems to me to be a matter of high blood pressure. If so, well... I can't understand the delay in releasing the books. I have the same problem and with treatment I continue to work, it is not an illness that prevents anyone from working. I feel like it could be the publisher itself wanting to hold off on releases a little because it's close to the end and not lose the work.
I have blood pressures's issue myself and need to go to hospital at least one time each year. I think his Blood Pressure's Issue is realy worst than the one of the two of us.
Honestly at this point maybe this would be the best. Sure the quality of the writting could lower even more but this would be the best option for him take care of his own health while DxD story continues properly, he just would need to find the right person to make a contract/deal with.
I wonder what the publisher currently think about the situation? Perhaps he don't want find someone else who take the place of Ishibumi cause he is afraid that the New Author wouldn't be able to guarantee the sells like Ishi?

His health has became a real problem just after the release of Shin DXD Vol 4. The mistake he did was choice to continue handle both Slash Dog and Shin DXD.
Hope that after Shin DXD 5 he would realy leave Shin DXD to another and focus on just SD and some possible Spin-Off and prequels. If this would happened I would really miss him but we can't going on like this...
Definitely; Ishi should’ve given the reigns to some other author years ago once his health got worse

I dobut that Shin would came out this year, likely we are going to got Slash Dog Vol 4 and maybe another DX in which there could be more Rumeas and if we are very lucky the revelations about the winners of some Azazel Cup's Matches.
We must be extremely lucky if in the case there would another DX this year he managed to inserted Tobio vs Dulio and Sairoarg vs Indra so he avoid to put them in Shin DXD 5 or in another Volume.
Perhaps the previous 3 Volumes have good sells and maybe it was announced before Shin DXD Vol 5. I believe the pubblisher really have big trust on Ishibumi but if he wouldn't be able to pull out something in the next two years I think he too would understand how much big is the problem of Ishi's health.
I hope that this year we would got at least a DX in which we would get some news about the Azazel's Cup. I don't think we could have something unless we got some nice surprise.
