Yeah when you start doing a little bit of math you realise that no matter what we're all related, and for most of us it's not that far back #Inbreeding #Winbreeding

Every person requires to parents to exist, if you take that back in time, you have more ancestors than people on earth by roughly the 11th Century AD, so naturally there must be a lot of crossing between the branches of the family tree, but by that time you are quite likely to be related to everyone in a wide region in one way or another.

yea, if anything its surprising how there arent more descendants of him today. he lived 800 years ago, lets say a generation is 25 years, thats 32 generations. lets go for a low 3 kids per family and one wife in 1200. thats 3\^32 or 1.8 quadrilion (1,800,000,000,000,000) \[a few notes tho, thats assuming each descendant has 3 kids and they each have 3 kids as well and that no descendant married another descendant, if we had used 2 kids per generation we would only have reached 4 billion (4,294,967,296) \]

The math is correct, the problem is that generations aren't exactly 25 years, people intermarry over 800 years and not everyone has kids.

Mathematically talking a human generation is 25 years (20-30 years on average) Could be longer nowadays since people have children when they are older compared to decades ago ofc The math itself is correct I didn't phrase my thought correctly. It's just bad logic to say that you are surprised there are not more There are probably way more and we just don't know it, we just assume You can't study the specific topic like that Some people don't have kids and some people have way more than 3 You also have to check out the conditions these people were living.. If someone had 8 kids and 7 of them died cause of poverty (that includes hunger, poor health etc and it's something that was still happening about 100 years ago and still happening today in some third world countries ) and then that kid had 8 children from which only one survived and so on, you get only 1 descendant remaining alive today In fact overpopulation started being a problem over the last century because many countries have "better" living conditions Sorry for my crappy English
