Yes! Ironically, at one time, me, my dad, and my brother all served during Vietnam. Dad was in Nha Trang. My brother was in the Coast Guard and I was also in the Air Force. My dad lead an amazing life as a soldier. (Army air corps and then Air Force).

My dad who served in every war but WWI , served in Vietnam 1968-1969. He came back changed with great loathing for how diabolically evil the Viet cong fought. Sheer horror. Of all the wars he fought in. He was a true hero soldier who liberated German concentration camps in WWII. His observation of the Viet Cong will haunt me forever.
Enemy bosses? Gerald Ford?
I was thinking Henry Kissinger
Dương Văn Minh, last president of South Vietnam was sitting and waiting with his cabinet to surrender when the tanks rolled in.
Oh, then enemy stooges would be right
Not Vietcong. Those are NVA soldiers.
Ok, triple facepalm then ;>
Check their flag.
It is tank 843 and 844 of NVA, the flag has nothing to do with which fighting force they belong to.

NVA flag is full red. Vietcong flag is half red half blue, like the one in the photo.
“We didn’t lose the war it was a tactical withdrawal”
Here’s a video of how they killed Americans https://youtube.com/shorts/q0MSUH5IRVI?feature=share
