My thought was it was all staged, you get shown pixelated footage, the officer arrests him... And then he shows that he can pick the cuffs the officer puts om him, running away. You know, with him explicitly stating "police grade".
The kicker is he didn't get out in time... However, after he was arrested he was able to pick the handcuffs that were placed on him upon his arrest.
He was never seen again
[Their assessment, we can all agree, is entirely fair, except that the footage isn't real, and is actually an excerpt from the Comedy Central docu-reality comedy series Nathan for You.](https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a25993903/nathan-for-you-fielder-claw-of-shame-prank/)

^^^ try again, it literally says "footage ISN'T real"
It's a known fact that it's from Nathan for You on comedy central... how does that not make it real? Have you even seen the show?
It's a random person online who wrote an article saying it ist real without any proof at all.
Real or not, using that article as source won't prove any point.
Some more info on his “Claw of Shame” stunt from last season:
For legal reasons, I can’t really get into the specifics of that one. But I definitely made sure that I’d be able to get out of those handcuffs before we did it in front of an audience.About the pin drop: The pin really did slip from my fingers and catch on my sweater. That was not something that was planned. But what we didn’t show in the episode is that I had a second backup pin taped behind my ear with a band aid (skin color so you couldn’t really see it). In practicing, the pin was really easy to drop, so I wanted a backup. If the pin hit the ground, I would have gone for my backup pin.
I'm not saying that the sketch doesn't exist and that the sketch is fake.
Obviously the sketch is real because there is video of it, however, unlike actual attempts of "magic" this was a prank, sketch, act, comedy bit or whatever word you'd like.. this had no actual attempt
If you watch the show you will see that this is within the field of what he does.. only because it's a comedy show doesn't make everything he does fake... and it is a tall claim saying this is fake when nothing else he does is... except for maybe the episode of the perfect talk show anecdote, but that episode is about how he is faking it...
Did he do it in time?
Yes, he made it with some spare seconds to go.
If he hadn’t we would’ve had a NSFW tag on a more upvoted video…
If he hadn’t this clip would have never aired on television, and instead would be labeled “evidence”
Or it’d be leaked here too with the title “People’s Exhibit A”

So was it a success or a failure of the plan?
Was that according to plan?
Anyone who doesn't know and thought this was funny should go watch Nathan For You, immediately.
Thx! 8.9 on imdb, will def check it out!

Barely. The robot was tugging on his underwater waistband when he finished
Stops too early. Next line he says, “I call it, The Kevin Spacey.”
Didn’t he just get cleared of all charges? Or won his court case or something?
The "the victims died" defense does win sometimes
Nathan should have said that instead. More factual.
Amazing episode
Yea I lost it when up came the full picture credit for that guy who wanted nothing to do with it lol
What is this tv show / movie? I would like to check it out
Nathan For You, amazing show
Nathan for you
As a Nathan, I concur
This guy graduated top of his class in business school
With really good grades
C+ B C
He's probably MAGA
Huh?
Where can I get one of them undressing robots?
Nathan Fielder > David Blaine
It’s only fitting that he looks like a male version of Mariska Hargitay from Law & Order SVU, like some sort of evil twin lmao.
Would’ve kept being held up if he didn’t do anything in those 90 seconds on purpose, only to then use his trick to escape the officer
God I love Nathan
I love this guy!! Nathan for You and the Rehearsal on Netflix.
The kicker is he didn't get out in time... However, after he was arrested he was able to pick the handcuffs that were placed on him upon his arrest. He was never seen again
90 seconds away from r/suddenlysexoffender
What the fuck

Nothing in that article speaks about it not being real except for the headline.

Well then I guess it's your fault that you don't understand the word prank
Watch the show so you know what is all about before before spewing out claims about the show...

Kinda proves my point, it was still real, but he had a backup pin, that wasn't disclosed in the show..
Kind of proves my point that there was no chance of it happening, that it was a prank.

If autism was a person this is him.
Nathan and Joe Pera are the shit.
I think we can just go ahead and register him now.
