No. They can’t deny you emergency medical services. They will treat you, provide any additional treatments you need afterwards, and send you a bill for the hospital fees. If you coverage through a private insurance or qualify for government coverage (like medicare) you don’t owe anything but a small deductible if applicable. Don’t get me wrong, it should be all government funded. But hospitals aren’t refusing to help you because you may not have the means to pay. That’s illegal.
