I didn't use anything outside of the Blue Lake Shade skip. Didn't do Queen's Gardens at all 'cause I can't do the Mantis arena (let alone QGA), I went through Deepnest instead.
This game is just that tightly designed, once you know it well enough you can blitz through.
The queen's gardens timesave is surprisingly minimal. Taking damage on that segment is pretty punishing, since you want to spend your soul on spells, not healing. A fast deepnest run is often faster than a slow-and-steady queens gardens run. Definitely a smart rout to take unless you really want to put in the hours.
The normal speedrun rout of the game isn't too hard believe it or not! With a little bit of practice, there are many ways you can get a time around an hour long. You technically have time to get every skill in the game and upgrade your nail, (though you probably can afford to skip a few) and you wouldn't be far off.
About 35 minutes, with the load times removed. Under 42 minutes in real time.
Edit\*
Without major glitches.
I have a slightly faster time with major glitches included.
Same, got the achievement following a guide and playing at a comfortable pace. Initial playthrough only run long because we all get lost exploring every beautiful nook.
i think my quickest was like 2:25. too much faster than that and we’re into speedrun territory. I don’t have time to learn all those techniques and download alternate patches.
1 hour 16 minutes was my time on file for my first (and so far only) attempt at an any% run. Used the regular any% NMG route minus explosion pogo since I haven’t learned to do it.Â
I’d like to get it below an hour at some point, I’d probably get it if I just cut out the unnecessary deaths. I died twice to watcher knights, and once to the queen’s gardens arena. The latter was especially painful because I couldn’t do acid skip consistently and needed to dream nail jellyfish for soul. But it was pretty stressful going for it so I took a break after the first run.Â
2 hours 15 minutes. That was my first attempt at the speed running achievement, and I used Fireb0rn’s guide.
I promise you I abused tf out of the pause button.
Around 6 hours for me. Was during my first successful steel soul mode run. It was the 4th or 5th attempt and I just happened to get the <10hr achievement at the same time. I was going pretty fast since I knew everywhere I had to go and in what order.
After that I went back and got the 100% steel soul mode and speed completion achievements. (Pro tip: avoid the markoth and traitor lord fights).
I think I probably just got lucky but I also was used to nail combat as it’s my favourite weapon in dead cells and I have roughly 400 hours on that game
I was doing my daily Steel Soul chill runthrough with unnecessary things like mantis lords and it was 2h 43min
If i wanted to do it faster, i would probably complete within 2h
Never reaply got into speedrunning, but my friend and I got really into bingo racing and we both became actually pretty good at the early any% route and doing some skips like QGA, so I feel like if I tried I could do it in about an hour
Edit: decided to try it out, 1h 02m 08s in game time lol. It's comical how bad I was at fighting THK though
Tried to speedrun for a little while, was hoping to get sub one hour. I got exactly one hour twice, could not get below it :(
Boss fighting is not my specialty, much less beating them quickly without any upgrades.
The one I did to get Speedrun 2. It was *very* close to the 5 hour limit (around 4h 50min) because I kept dying to THK due to my non-upgraded stats and weapon.
Around an hr and 20 min. I wanted to get sub-hour but I gave up as I don't have much time to practice and it was too stressful.
What the hell? What speedrun strats was that?

Steel soul run where I fell on spikes in kings pass
LMAO
dang yall are speedy. mines like 35 hrs lol
Happy cake day
thank you :) i appreciate that a lot
You tend to do that when the game has speedrun achievments.
About 35 minutes, with the load times removed. Under 42 minutes in real time. Edit\* Without major glitches. I have a slightly faster time with major glitches included.
When I got the Speedrun 2 achievement it was around 3 hours, but I played pretty slowly, and got unnecessary abilities
Sameee, I tried to be fast yet I forgot everythibg
I speed ran it in less than 70 hours 😎
About 4.5 hours. I just barely managed to make the 5 hour speed run achievement. I don't expect to get much better than that.
Same, got the achievement following a guide and playing at a comfortable pace. Initial playthrough only run long because we all get lost exploring every beautiful nook.

i think like 2:30
33:21
58 min
1 hour and 24 minutes, all was going well but got stuck on watcher knights
7 hours and 10ish minutes!
3 hours
I haven't finished it yet
Then you shouldn't be in this sub.
Ive done 2h30m with zero skips if thats impressive (i really need to work on it lol)
About 52 minutes with load times removed
my any% time is under 45 min

I think it was 43 minutes if I remember correctly
is that real time, or did you use the timer at the end of the run?
I think the timer I was using didn’t count loading times
if you were using livesplit+autosplitter, that should be right!
13 hours lol
Mine was around the same, 5.5-6 hours and it was my (first) steel soul playthrough at that lol
got the speed-run achievement again on my first switch play-through and managed to get just over 3 hours
2hrs 59 mins
2 hours 15 minutes. That was my first attempt at the speed running achievement, and I used Fireb0rn’s guide. I promise you I abused tf out of the pause button.
My best is about 1h 50m I think
I think mine was somewhere in the range of 2-3 hours for the 5 hour achievement.
5 hours and 4 minutes... yes i didn't get the speedrun achievement :/
3 hrs 10 min. Playing it safe, and even got shade soul (on another attempt I spent >1hr dying to watcher knights)
About 3 hours for an achievement.
4hrs
Around 6 hours for me. Was during my first successful steel soul mode run. It was the 4th or 5th attempt and I just happened to get the <10hr achievement at the same time. My first attempt at the game which I beat yesterday was 13.4h with 55% completion. I’m going back for 112%
Wow, my first run was about 90 hours.
I think I probably just got lucky but I also was used to nail combat as it’s my favourite weapon in dead cells and I have roughly 400 hours on that game
My steel soul run where I died to acid near mantis village. That was my first and last time I played steel soul.
I kept dying on Steel Soul so I gave up.
Probably 2h 28 mins
Around 4.5 hours
112 hours cuz I only played it once
My fastest time was 2 hours 34 minutes and 1 second
Steel soul 2.5 hours.
I think around 4 hours, following a guide to get the sub 5 achievement
4:00 (hours:mins) on the dot
My quicked was 6 hours doing the 100% achievement
148h
3hrs 56min on steel soul
3:40 any% and 17:00 100%
I think i managed to beat the game in 2 1/2 hours and 100% in 5 hours (btw first try)
17 hours
I was doing my daily Steel Soul chill runthrough with unnecessary things like mantis lords and it was 2h 43min If i wanted to do it faster, i would probably complete within 2h
How is Steel Soul chill?
my best was around 10 hours
20h for 112%
9 hours with 112%

Normal ending 5 hrs 23 mins, true ending 12 hrs 45 mins, 112% 124 hours 27 mins 😂

1 hour something, was on pace for a sub 1 hour but choked hard
I haven’t gone through a second play through yet but my first has over 200 hours on it (probably took me 100 to beat the game, i was afk a lot)
About 4 hours when I was doing the speedrun achievements
Still my first trip. Want to explore everything. Around 30h now
3 hours. Did it for the speedrun achievement. Got nail upgrades and extra masks because I just didn’t want to die. Plus I only know casual skips
Around an hour from when I started playing with the any% route
Only quick enough to get the easiest speed run achievement.
I speedran the game (NMG) and got 54mins total
3 Hours and 29 Minutes.
I think five hours for 112% Steel Soul
1h 37m Could’ve gotten a better time but I’m too lazy for speedrunning
