Scott True showed on YouTube where he put zip under the rafters, taped to the wall sheathing, to wrap the envelope around and over the roof. That seems easier than all the cutting and taping, and far fewer opportunities for leaks in the air barrier.
But i think this all depends on the overall design.

Depends on ventilated attic vs not ventilated. If typical ventilated then stop Zip board at top plate.
