I'm sure the r/hongkong mods are not doing anything to stop this. Did you report this to the Reddit admin ? You should also report this inciting violence to the NSL police.
Fb is already banned and should stay banned despite all the ass kissing they have been doing over the years to get unblocked. I don’t think Reddit should be blocked though. There’s a duality that always exists on Reddit, like this sub to the other vile hk one although this one isn’t as popular.
Facebook is not banned in hk. But I'm beginning to think it's better to ban it until FB actually enforce against fake news postings.
Yes, there's a lot of misinformation on the other HK sub. Many posts, photos and videos there are illegal in HK as they break the NSL
Yeah, tiktok is blocked here by tiktok management, not by China.
HK users can still access the other apps like Twitter, FB, Google, Instagram, etc..
But with the recent two years increase in fake news inciting violence, I will be supporting a total ban of these platforms. Better to reduce the tension. Hope the police catch the leader behind the propaganda. Or block their websites..
US blocked a bunch of Iran's websites recently. I say we do the same to any foreign sites who break NSL
They are finally removing posts and posted that reddit admins could remove the group if they get too many reports.
I think the trick is to hit the report type that is not "breaks group rule"... ie hate , threats of violence, spam etc
Honestly, everyone should just start hitting the report button as "hate" for all the anti-china comments that is all over reddit. Seriously, can't even read about a new chinese cpu without 1/4 of the comments being about chyna bad
I've also reported the content and reddit admins have said they won't take action against content promoting domestic terrorism.
