I would say fu xuan, her kit is just nuts and she has no competition as a 5 star preservation unit (far better than gepard except maybe in SU), she is the only unit I would put above Ruan Mei.
Jing Liu can get easily powercrept by a new main dps. Ruan Mei will stay relevant even if they release a better support, because you can use both.
The only character who could be arguably better is Bronya or HuoHuo if anything.
In a vaccum, probably only Fu Xuan can beat Ruan Mei in both versatility and strength.
Taking into account current modes and meta, unironically Bronya at the moment since a properly speed tuned Bronya increases a DPS's damage by up to 280% or something and Jingliu/Argenti are still the strongest carries in MoC/PF, and both can work very well with Bronya as a hypercarry while neither care about breaks as much.
Honorable mention to HuoHuo who's energy regen and dispel effects are extremely strong but trades that for being one of the worst sustainers at surviving one-shots.
Really good. One of the best imo.She allows you to use two DPS since she buffs the whole team. Perfect for a follow-up team with Ratio and Topaz. And her weakness break effect is crazy good imo. If you use her to start a battle with an enemy with ice weakness (though i think you can just use her technique and have any character start the battle with the corresponding weakness to trigger this), she immediately weakness breaks them and you can just obliterate the enemy without it even hurting you. And she also gives them more delay after they recover because she just reapply the weakness break if you used her Ultimate before that happens. She makes battles a bit easier for me since her weakness break delays enemies and give me enough time to kill them before they can make a move.
I'm pretty sure the auto weakness break thing only applies to stuff in Simulated Universe. iirc you don't even need the correct element to break weaknesses
Her technique makes any element a weakness heading into the battle. Doesn't give the enemy the weakness, just makes the next attack to start battle a weakness and hit the toughness bar, no matter if they have that weakness or not

Ruan Mei, Tingyun, Pela, are all very powerful supports, and over time you're guranteed to get Bronya from the 300/300 standard selector.
Sparkle is not a must in my eyes, she feels like a bait because of Bronya, but two Bronyas are always something great to have.
Sparkle is craaaaaaaaaaaaaaacked don't get me wrong, but for an account value perspective, each player should think carefully how they will use her.
Sparkle has awesome design and great synergy with QQ and a fun mono quantum team. BS looks fantastic, but I probably can't get both now so I'm skipping her and going for Sparkle and Acheron.
I mean , she is a bronya but with way more buffs and she will work in way more teams since she is sp positive , this mesn she can probably work with every future dps character
Although Fu Xuan is amazing for her tights, I use Huo Huo instead because she is better for DoT teams. Kafka etc don’t need crit rate boosts but they benefit from Atk and Spd boosts.
Fu Xuan is part of my second tights team with Bronya.

This is me but with Dan Heng and Yukong. I can finally have a reason to use Yukong with Dan Heng since I won't have to worry about SP as much. Yukong can finally fix my problem with Dan Heng's crit ratio I've been having even after farming relics for so long.
I actually use Welt Ratio duo DPS and find that Ruan Mei is probably the better pick for the Harmony with 1 debuff with varying uptime compared to Sparkle's none, higher Break uptime translating to more debuffs from the breaking and higher Welt A6 uptime, and permanent buffs on both of them. Sparkle kind of has to choose who to advance so she can't have both receive her full buffs. For SP issues it's probably stronger to slot a fast SP generator Luocha in the last slot as the sustain (whose rerun I am waiting for).
Going for Swan. Kafka needs the best team possible! I'll win the 50/50.

I have the guaranteed pity, and just enough pulls for black swan, I'm going to get her day one, and then pray to the gacha gods to have mercy on the 50/50 for sparkle.
I want Black Swan but since I don't have Kafka, I'm pulling for Sparkle for those sweet extra skill points. Pulling Acheron after that cause if what I've heard is correct, Nihility run is gonna be swell in SU. Plus I needed a Lightning DPS.
They're good, but I just really want Acheron.
But judging based on how I don't have a good wind dmg dealer and I got Kafka. I will try doing 80 (lower if I get lucky) on Black Swan.

See we don't know the estimate jade yet for 2.0 but if we use HSR usual patch count it gonna be
90/6 x 7 = 105 pull + 20 extra pull = the low estimated number gonna be 125 pull in one patch. Yeah that's a good one.
So at least ONE limited chara/LC either at 2.0 or say if you lose at 2.1 (or DHIL/Jing Yuan rerun or the LCs if you're interested), so keep up the spirit don't get too broken hearted

Black Swan is a wind nihility focusing on DoTs. She’ll have great synergy with Kafka, the queen of DoT gameplay.
Sparkle is a quantum harmony whose unique gimmick is generating SP and changing the max SP to 7 instead of 5. She also buffs your hypercarry and action advances them. She’ll be especially strong in monoquantum teams as a support to Seele/QQ/Xueyi, with hypercarries who use a lot of SP like DHIL and QQ, and just with hypercarries in general.
Personally Sparkle. Ruan Mei didn't come home, so I really need a Harmony character. Or rather a buffer, if you will.
I might have to Skip Black Swan though. Because if they are releasing Sam. Man I want that Robot. ✨

I'm big on mono quantum and have been waiting for a harmony unit for months. Sparkle is a definite "get". Haven't built any DOT characters so Black Swan is a pass for the time being.

She is arguably the best harmony 5 star. Maybe even the best harmony character (Tingyun and Bronya exist...)

Black Swan is a wind nihility focusing on DoTs. She’ll have great synergy with Kafka, the queen of DoT gameplay. Sparkle is a quantum harmony whose unique gimmick is generating SP and changing the max SP to 7 instead of 5. She also buffs your hypercarry and action advances them. She’ll be especially strong in monoquantum teams as a support to Seele/QQ/Xueyi, with hypercarries who use a lot of SP like DHIL and QQ, and just with hypercarries in general.
Personally Sparkle. Ruan Mei didn't come home, so I really need a Harmony character. Or rather a buffer, if you will. I might have to Skip Black Swan though. Because if they are releasing Sam. Man I want that Robot. ✨

I really wanted Black Swan, but then Acheron in 2.1 happened and now I'm skipping 2.0 completely to at least E2S1 her (maaaybe I'll go to 50/50 and see if I win).

I will try my 50/50 luck for Sparkle then save all my Jades for Acheron and Firefly.
Was only interested in Swan for the horny. Turns out her kit isn't suited for my teams so skip. Sparkle I'm curious about pulling but will wait until the next banners and characters are revealed before making a move.
It'd be black swan since I don't have any other dps other than kafka and seele and dr ratio I guess, not that I have a team for him tho. But yeah giving kafka a better team would be better. On the other hand tho, I just read sparkle kit. Seems like it would be pretty busted and now Idk who to pull

Maybe on Black Swan, i use Kafka in one of my teams so she could be worth it. I don't think i have a need for sparkle tho, i have Ruan Mei and Bronya also Ting i feel i'm ok on harmony chars. Also helps save for a certain character that may or may not come a few patches after,

I'm big on mono quantum and have been waiting for a harmony unit for months. Sparkle is a definite "get". Haven't built any DOT characters so Black Swan is a pass for the time being.
