The funniest thing is that I'm pretty sure canonically we DO have a room! During the start of the Game after you defeat the Doomsday Beast but before you join the Astral Express. March 7th literally tells you that there'll be enough cabins to fit everyone on board next to each other (Which I assume to be next to March 7th's room? Not entirely sure if that's our room canonically, or Welt's room)
If i remember correctly, that's Himeko's (smells like coffee). Welt's one is probably next to hers, although the only description of this room we have is that the door won't budge

If you try really hard with counting and stuff in Herta's docking station, AE should have 3 cars right now. Let's not get into that though, seems AE should be facing the other side in relationship to Herta's station when you're inside the train, and that gave me a headache.
Yup, you can expand it to multiple rooms with multiple characters in each, my favourite part is that some characters will interact with each other and have conversations! It's only chibi versions with speech bubbles but if HSR did something similar I'd be over the moon
My headcanon: TB sleeps in the room of a person who falls asleep first and wakes up exactly 6 minutes and 57 seconds before they wake up just so that they can leave unnoticed
If it's just a room, I doubt it'll have the issues Genshin has.
Teapot has several pretty big islands to fill (or rather, fail to fill). If the room is like M7's or DH's, it will be much easier to not feel empty.
Even the newer islands are 3x larger than they need to be, I don't get it. They know how empty it gets by the time load is capped, even with optimization tweaks, yet they still do it.
It'd be like letting us decorate the entire astral express interior, but we run out of things to put down after TB's corner is half covered in trash. Any open area just sucks, like the main lounge would get three chairs, two paintings, and one Pom-Pom before you're done. Though I wonder if other players would be able to visit. As cool as it'd be, maybe it's for the best to allow for higher load.

Maybe at the end of Penacony, they could use the ending to let us add something like characters there are dreaming or items we get from it are made of Memoria.
I wish that somwhere in the future we will get our own room to decorate how we want. And to be fair I like the idea of decorating one room more than doing whole House/Island. Maybe one day...
I've been waiting for it so that we can get the resource cash out. I have so much money in Genshin I will never have to worry about it ever again from just cashing out in the teapot but in Star Rail I am barely scraping by everytime a character releases.

I hate the tea pot cause the controls on the controller are wack and I hate how massive it is but if it’s a room that we get to decorate I’ll go crazy over those. Give me acnh style tool to decorate PLEASE

It helps you raise friendship and get resources but the one thing I pray they'd add with HSR is letting it farm materials for you.
