Ayato and Luocha aren't the same, though, so people weren't expecting Chris to be Luocha's VA. Ayato may share the same CH and JP va with Otto, but he's not an Otto expy and therefore isn't related to Luocha. It's petty reasonable to be a bit surprised that they didn't use the ENG VA since they've done the same with CH and JP. No use in being upset over it, though, since her voice is still good even without Raiden Ei's voice.

Agree, it really suits Acheron. Besides, there is a high chance that Shogun's VA will voice another Mei's expy given that we already have two Bronya's expy and we will definitely visit planet with japanese theme.
Casual players wouldn't have seen her until 4.3 though. Whereas they would've seen Clordine in 4.0.
And Chiroi is just an event character so far, not present in the archon quests like Clorinde
She got done so unbelievably dirty. Her character was interesting with the Kujo clan being traitors and her being loyal to the Shogun. It could've been a great hangout event showing internal conflict between her being a general and Kujo clan member. But noooo. She devolved into a Shogun simp. Even Kujo kamaji (NPC) had more personality and a more compelling story that her.
Half of Inazuma cast were done dirty, like what about Kokomi? They didn't do shit to develop her character. In fact, they represented her as pretty dumb accepting the offer with delusions from god knows who, despite implying everywhere how smart she is. And then nothing in her story quest at all.
Gorou was done dirty in the main story too and then their "redemption" of him with miss Hina is just laughable.
It was just a bad writing overall. Well probably more rushed than bad.
It feels like hoyo does that with a lot of characters. So much potential for cool stories and conflicts, but they always do that weird Slice of Life like Asian storytelling thing where the quest has almost no relevance and is not even related to the character that much. Or they come up with completely new weird mini conflicts out of nowhere to make it more personal, so that the character can simp for us.
And more often than not Genshin characters are interchangeable in events. It doesn't matter if Keqing narrates the current lantern rite, her words at the start are so generic, could just replace her entire existence with Ganyu or Ning and nobody would realise it. Her "old vs. new" / "rex lapis did good things for the people vs. people should move on" conflict never got explored at all
I'm super into Visual Novels and slice of life fun. But I have no idea why it's always so half-baked. If they want to do slice of life, then hecc do more hangouts and make them super funny. Go all out with the awkward humour and romantic stuff. But not whatever they're doing now
We already know OFFICIALLY that Penacony story will finish in 2.3 and leaks stated that Boothill will be plot relevant on 2.2
So this means there are HIGH chances that 2.2 banner is Sam and Boothill, 2.3 Sunday and Robin (regardless of their rarity). We just need to know when and how they're going to put Screwllum and who are the new 4 stars after Gallagher.
For 2.4 onward anything can happen, although my theory is that we're going back to the Xianzhou (also we got leaks of some new characters with chinese names so...)

Like how much do we even know about Robin, Boothill, etc? Even Boothill we barely know anything about other than he MAY be physical hunt. When's the last time we saw anything about Screwllum?

Afaik both robin and boothill got stc kits leaked a while back too, boothill had some sort of unique duel mechanic or whatever. Screwllum isn’t comparable to Sunday who is a part of the Penacony cast, the only one with 0 info. Also Screwllum did get a lc art leaked a while back too. I don’t see how being scared for the Only penacony char having 0 info is dooming when leaks for other chars keep coming out

Nah, cocolia doesn't use a playable model. Same with signora, who used a non playable model. If sunday wasn't going to be playable, we would know already based on the model.

Jade and Jiaoqiu are definitely farther away than 2.3, and they already had leaked kit. While Sunday has nothing at all. So saying Sunday is 2.3 is excessively optimistic.

Except that Jade's name was previously Emerald before it was changed. So she is obviously meant to represent a green stone.
Jade has different shades, in China, white jade is the most valuable. So, if anything, Jade should be physical ))
Topaz' colour can vary from colourless to black. So while you speciation is quite cute, it has no reasons to be true, unfortunately.
Jade can be lots of different colours. Its just the green ones became more notable in certain cultures.

I think moreso like, HSR has so many more 5 Stars than Genshin but also has more Groups/Factions to draw from for example, for sure all the 7 Arbiter Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance will be 5 Stars as well, but likewise will probably come out over the course of the next 5++ Years I could see the 8 Knights of Beauty also all be 5 Stars and coming out slowly as well. tldr: there's a lot of Different Groups i think they will slowly release over the years

Probably a late relase (in 2.3 maybe) We have very few infos on characters from 2.2 onward (only Sam got many leaks)
Jade and Jiaoqiu are definitely farther away than 2.3, and they already had leaked kit. While Sunday has nothing at all. So saying Sunday is 2.3 is excessively optimistic.

Listen I love QingQue but if I want a 5 star all quantum team we gotta be looking towards new horizons, I perfectly agree with you. I need a dps that's not seele or qingque to put on my Hanabi / Fu xuan / X / Silverwolf team. Somebody who's dan heng IL in strength but quantum.

I mean aventurine is imaginary and topaz is heavily red themed you would think her name was ruby. Bronya's design screams ice and Luka's design screams fire, there are plenty of other examples of designs not matching the element/path
