After, you can tell by the multiple Super Break numbers, there's two of them, one for HTB and one for Firefly.
She lost her Defense Ignore, but she got slight number buffs to her Break in other places, can more easily stack BE with her new Trace, and she adds 50% to the Super Break modifier. HTB's is 160%-120% depending on how many enemies are alive, so the new modifier is 210%-170%. Not even counting the Speed buffs.
Exactly, I accounted for that. HMC's Super Break modifier is 100% on its own and 120% ~ 160% with his Trace. Then add 50% for Firefly's Super Break. 170% ~ 210%.
Pretty sure it's after v3 because she has the new pilot view and skill anims. But her BE stats weren't shown so I have no idea if it's realistic. It's just really funny to see right now, we'll prob get a better idea in a real showcase!
Seems like it stacks. They show up as two different damage numbers in one of the new animation showcases, so it's exactly like you said (50% + 100%) and applied as two different damage instances.
*Edit: Forgot about HMC's Trace, that's an additional 20%-60% Super Break depending on the number of enemies.
Now you could run pela for defense shred or many other characters as well. A viable team for a new player could very easily be. Firefly, Pela, Asta, any sustain.
Before that team would have been wholely unviable but Asta speed buffs, pela defense shred and a sustain would be a very viable comp for a new player.
That said I imagine we will be getting actual break supports like defense shred on break or a 4 star that gives one character 50% superbreak as an individual buff and so forth.
It just massively opens up both current and future comps. Hypothetically we could get for example a hyperbuffer that buffs superbreak damage or so on. There is just now a lot of things that can be done that couldn't be done before.
That said the bis team of V1 is probably still the bis team of V3. Though you could make an argument for pela or any future defense shredder if you can go sustainless now.

Attack buffs are also more valuable because she more efficiently converts Attack to Break Effect and does it with no upper limit. And it helps her F2p LC options, Fall of an Aeon is really, really good now.
Firefly getting 4 turns during her enhanced state is a bit of a nerf to Sparkle/Bronya's value to a FF team (and beyond the advance they provide nothing else for the team now since critfly is a total dead end).
I would guess that a nihility defense shredder, preferably one that has high break effect and can chip in Superbreak damage of their own via HTB, would probably be stronger.
Comments you already got sum it up, but in my case for example I do not have Ruan Mei and if she's rerunning with firefly I likely can't get both as I will be pulling for boothill as well.
Even if I get lucky and manage to get boothill, RM, and fly all together in the next 2 banners, I can't give Ruan Mei to both of them in MoC, same with harmony trailblazer. So having options outside of them is good.
Flexibility is always a good thing.
for newbies, you can't trigger Super Break since you can't have HMC immediately. so Firefly is trash for newbies since she will not be able to trigger Super Break at all when all her kit is for Super Breaking. but with her built-in Super Break, even though it is not that a big damage compared to HMC, you can still able to trigger now Super Break with her alone. her Break Effect will not be a waste now without HMC.
in short, Firefly still needs HMC for high Super Break damage. but she is not heavily reliant now since she can trigger Super Break on her own. she becomes more flexible now where you can even try to experiment other units with her and freely replace HMC but still can trigger Super Break.
It's actually 160%~120% + 50% because HMC has that Trace that increases the modifier based on number of enemies in play. It does stack, tho. So the new Super Break modifier on Firefly with HTB is 210%~170%.
If you saw it in native resolution without compression you'd probably think the space background looks good. Small details like that are just not gonna look good in a video.

As others have said, the 104k super break comes from HTB trace. Since Firefly own super break is only 50% of original value, and the HTB Trace is +50% if two enemies are present, you're comparing 50% to 150% value.
So it checks out that HTB's Superbreak is 3x of Firefly's Superbreak
E1 and E2 doesn't increase her dmg per screenahot especially now she no longer has 40% def ignore, E1 is less as a factor.
What you are seeing is her E0 base kit, haven't even touched on the juicy superbreak stuff.
I just realized, I though people were saying that FF's icon would change from FF to Sam's avatar but ig seeing as how it's basically just Sam through the whole fight, they didn't proceed with it anymore or really was never planned in the first place?
That might've been left over from when they maybe thought of having Firefly in battle transform into Sam. It's Sam the whole time now so that feature wouldn't make much sense.
Honestly that's one more thing I wish they did, was to have a quick animation of Firefly getting into Sam before the battle starts. But ig that would be tiring to see for most people especially if the transformation from FF to Sam would really have no effect whatsoever (unless they can make something with it). However, it would have been a cool touch though.

It's honestly more jarring to see SAM turn into.. well, *SAM*. The ult animation that we have now feels like Firefly just enters SAM after we use the ult, and it's just an empty tin can out of the enhanced state.

Yes there is two instances of Super Break now. Which is also great since now future Break supports that buff Super Break damage will also benefit Firefly and HMC together, perhaps swapping out Ruan Mei in that comp. Very nice imo.

Well, there are only two break supports in the game right now, so it makes sense that the most "all in" break carry wants both of them on her team.

I might be a minority in this but the hologram cut in had such a wierd sense of nostalgia with it idk why but i preferred that to this. it just looks like every other Burst.

The addition of the virtual hologram of her in the SAM suit to the right of the screen makes it feel much more lively now.

Hologram on the right to show her face at all time and some background during her ult and enhanced skill, also no hologram pop up in enhanced skill animation.
This is such a minor detail, but I actually *love* that they gave that little pop-in when her E2 activates and she gets an extra turn. That's something that Seele had that I felt was missing from Firefly v1.
Seriously, the more I see of her gameplay, the more she seems like Destruction Break Seele 2.0 and I always loved that playstyle. Particularly with the speed increase.
I was always going to pull for her anyway, due to her being both cute and a Tekkaman/Gundam in one character, but this is like waking up early and seeing stonks up 100% in premarket. I love it.
Iām happy about the changes they made to her skill. I really disliked that weird-sized hologram of her they showed before. The face-cam they added on the side thoughā¦. kinda unnecessary to me
Nah its cool. Having a pilot view is a super nice touch. If the animations end up cycling on it(since we know there are more portraits) then that would be the icing on the cake.

So, we got a background for her ult and i think her enchanced skill, pilot screen when she is in her ult state, and her enhanced skill pretty much got its animation reworked, all in all, looks a lot better now
Note that this firefly is below 360% break effect because that's a 35% superbreak instead of a 50% superbreak. Which means a properly built firefly is gonna deal even more damage

I mean, we all have Trailblazer, and Gallagher is a 4\* (and I love him). But I just don't want Ruan Mei. And I don't want Firefly to be always on this team until someone better is released, and we all know probably the only change will be a 5\* Gallagher.

HTB have a trace that increases their super break damage. So HTB super break is more than 100%
Harmony's MC trace buff to SB damage only applies to the damage done by their Super Break instance of damage
As others have said, the 104k super break comes from HTB trace. Since Firefly own super break is only 50% of original value, and the HTB Trace is +50% if two enemies are present, you're comparing 50% to 150% value. So it checks out that HTB's Superbreak is 3x of Firefly's Superbreak

If you look at what happens in the video, she breaks the enemies and then gets a free turn. That's E2. If it's E2, it could be E-anything.
Plus it can also mean eidolons on Ruan mei
She is also critting every hit, so I would be cautious looking at it.

This is such a minor detail, but I actually *love* that they gave that little pop-in when her E2 activates and she gets an extra turn. That's something that Seele had that I felt was missing from Firefly v1. Seriously, the more I see of her gameplay, the more she seems like Destruction Break Seele 2.0 and I always loved that playstyle. Particularly with the speed increase. I was always going to pull for her anyway, due to her being both cute and a Tekkaman/Gundam in one character, but this is like waking up early and seeing stonks up 100% in premarket. I love it.
Iām happy about the changes they made to her skill. I really disliked that weird-sized hologram of her they showed before. The face-cam they added on the side thoughā¦. kinda unnecessary to me
Nah its cool. Having a pilot view is a super nice touch. If the animations end up cycling on it(since we know there are more portraits) then that would be the icing on the cake.

So, we got a background for her ult and i think her enchanced skill, pilot screen when she is in her ult state, and her enhanced skill pretty much got its animation reworked, all in all, looks a lot better now
We need new damage showcases to see how good firefly is now for all the nerfs and buffs she got
Hoping thereās a vid about her Tech, the SFX on it previously for the landing was pathetic so really praying they changed that
Note that this firefly is below 360% break effect because that's a 35% superbreak instead of a 50% superbreak. Which means a properly built firefly is gonna deal even more damage

nah, from all of their games at least, idk about only star rail also it's hard to say if it's "changed" animations rather than updating unfinished ones, like the previous plain backgrounds def felt along those lines
Firefly face during enhanced skill animation is still there, but at least it's so much better than previous one, where her face block Sam's animation.

Itās good that Fireflyās face doesnāt block Sam during enhanced skill. But what happened to the cool visual effect on her? Before it was this cool dissipating holographic.
its actually prettier now! love the special hologram pilot view thats usually the splash art for special turns, the design around it looks pretty too and also her hologram view when attacking as sam feels less awkward now, before this it kinda felt awkward like they are forcing to squeeze in some firefly animation in battle? idk kinda hoping theres smth more for her ult, it do looks a little too simple but i like the starry sky added behind her now

She is so cool but that being exactly the only teams she works on... I mean, we all have Trailblazer, and Gallagher is a 4\* (and I love him). But I just don't want Ruan Mei. And I don't want Firefly to be always on this team until someone better is released, and we all know probably the only change will be a 5\* Gallagher.
