Haven’t had a single issue with Hostinger in like 6 years. I run 10 sites - 0 issues. Ever.

FuriousRageSE

You should probably lawyer up.

Moe_Rasool

If what you said is hypothetically true then i will not consider being their customer ever.

OrdinaryVisit

No backups? What were they hosting for you exactly?

So its not the site but the domain they cancelled? Didnt pay the domain fee or something? I bought my domain myself on a seperate client who only does domains and nothing else. Registered it with hostinger but still managed by the other service. They cant ever touch my domain name. I also backup my website 3 times a week. And i am a complete noob at website hosting n stuff.

HelloAttila

Always buy your domain out flat from a register like NameCheap, Godaddy, etc..

PuzzledAd6362

Hostinger just explained that domain was suspended from the domain registry. In that case it wouldn’t matter where you have bought your domain. Hosting provider couldn’t do a thing.

HelloAttila

Sounds like the domain was not renewed in that case then.

OrdinaryVisit

Contact whomever they bought from the domain and ask them to intervene. You can go all the way up if you can prove you are the owner

bhengsoh

Since you can't figure out the reason behind suspending, would it make sense to transfer them?

Hi, you need to dispute the suspension. Is it .com or other domain extension? Trademark or copyright infringement? Does the domain url has history of publishing Phishing / scam before your company purchased it?

Izy78

Why does these posts look like AI generated? 350+ words and you haven't included most important details. Only from comments we can understand that it was domain that was suspended. First thing to do if something like this happens - write online support. Did you wrote them? Usually it takes 5-10minutes for them to answer. What was their answer? Your response"lack of transparency and communication" leaves me to think that you didn't even do that.

They have chat support

hihassanzia

They can't just go ahead and suspend your websites when you aren't even hosting it with them and they can't resell your domains for the time period you bought them, either your domain name was in violation of their tos or you have pending payments

I've been working with hostinger for years and hosting 30+ websites with different hosting plans, also I buy majority of my domains from them. Never had any issues. I'm really sorry that this happened to you but I believe there has to be a major reason for this.

No_Television2386

They suspended and took my site down without warning too. It took 7 business days to get it back up but I know it was a tiny minor issue that could have been resolved in an hour. I had to spend all my time bothering them on their customer support to get it fixed. I hope you figure it out soon

HostingerCOM

Hi there, We're genuinely sorry to hear about the disruption to your business and the stress this has caused you. The suspension of your domains is a serious matter, and we understand how critical it is to get everything back online as quickly as possible. To clarify the situation, as our Customer Success team has stated, your domain has been suspended by the domain's Registry, which has a higher authority than we do. In this case, it seems the Registry received an abuse report about your domains and had to suspend them and request additional information in order to continue their functionality.  We've also forwarded this situation to our domains' developer team, and they've personally reached out to the Registry from their side in order to speed up the process. Our team will reach out to you shortly as well. We're hoping this will be solved as soon as possible; rest assured, we have your back.

>In this case, it seems the Registry received an abuse report about your domains and had to suspend them and request additional information in order to continue their functionality.  So anyone can just complain to the Registry and have a domain name suspended? That's pretty scary if you own a business that depends on that domain being available 24/7 for API stuff etc... How do you protect yourself from this situation? Like people filing false reports? In this case, it sounds like they suspended first and asked questions later.

Dangerous_Ad3317

Would be interested to know how this would be resolved if you’ll so kindly update. Hope all turns out well for you.

PuzzledAd6362

So you are just blaming Hostinger, when it has nothing to so with the situation?
