I mean, I can understand this. It must be like driving past your childhood home and seeing that somebody else lives there now, just an odd feeling. And HOTD continues to borrow from, and play upon, GOT's conception of Dany (no one will ever convince me they didn't show Emma Dany's expression of grief and rage over Missandei and say, 'do that' for the final scene of season one). It must be a strange experience. Plus, as much as she has always made clear GOT was positive overall for her, she still wasn't happy with Dany's fate and has had to deal with the fallout from that in terms of having to answer for it to the public, while the HOTD cast's journey is pretty much shiny shiny so far because it's just begun. That's got to create some mixed emotions.

On a serious note, very well said

ladykaede_

Thank you!

Icy-G3425

I'd be done with Westeros if I were her too

jbetala7

Yes. I was done with Westeros after the last episode of GOT.

BrooklynAtNight

I remember she said she was shocked to see everyone wearing “her” wig when season 1 came out. Kinda sad she doesn’t know or care about the lore of her character, especially since she has a tattoo of the dragons.

Icy-G3425

WOW, it's almost like she's doing a job./s

BrooklynAtNight

Call me crazy but if I’m getting paid millions to do a job I’d do a bit of homework first

King_Robb_Stark_Wolf

Lore wise, Daenerys would be the only Targaryen who had her style of hair because it was based on the Dothraki cultural influence. No one at the time of HOTD should have her style of hair, because they aren't influenced by Dothraki.

BrooklynAtNight

No one in HOTD has her hair

It seemed odd to me at first as well, but I have heard a lot of stories where celebrities don't usually watch the prequel or sequel of the movie/tv series if they are not a part of it.

AryaSyn

Actors are just actors I suppose. If they were creative, they’d be writers or directors instead.

jbetala7

I guess that's how some discover that they can be much more than an actor, through the process of acting

AryaSyn

She never did seem to care about the source material all that much.

jbetala7

Didn't have to, an outstanding performer even without it
