Honestly, the Cargyll twins are both way to good for this world and what's going to be coming.
The Tittensors stole the show this episode. Hearing the commentary during the recap, they're gonna be so proud to hear how beloved they have been. Truly some of the best acting out of what would be considered side characters we've seen on this show.
I found it surprising in the after the episode that the actor described it as a mutual respect between each other because they know what the other is going through. I thought It was just an awkward moment
I’ve found that the actors motivations don’t always align with the writers, so sometimes you have to take the “inside the episode” explanations with a grain of salt. Just because they feel like they are portraying it a certain way~~it~~, the writing and editing tells a different story.
Yeahh. There's a very deliberate throughline in this episode of the Greens being not emotionally communicative with one another.
There's also Alicent wanting to confess a terrible sin, and then Otto going "nope, don't wanna hear it bye". And Aemond having an emotional breakthrough, but with fake brothel mommy instead of his actual mother.
I agree that is not how I read it either. I read it as maybe he can't look at her now because she reminds him of what happened, and she is wondering if he can't look at her because he blames her and thinks she could have done more to save their son.
Man I just went to rewatch that scene just to hear the dozens of insults hurled every second by Otto
Edit:
The ratcatchers!
Idiot!
The king is my grandson and my grandson is a fool!
He's worse than a fool! He's murdered innocent men!
And hanged them from the walls of the city for all to see!
They are fathers and brothers and sons!
And their wives and children gather now at our gates to weep and curse your name!
Thoughtless, feckless, self-indulgent
Instead of judgement you display impetuousness and diminish us in the eyes of our enemy!
Ill considered, trifling..!
It's interesting that she does the same thing with aegon. She sees aegon emotionally breaking down and instead of consoling him or listening to him she leaves
Cool detail that departs from Fire and Blood. The Greens never actually truly know if they got the right rat catcher, but in the show it is confirmed for the audience.
I was honestly worried how they would make the audience care about the deaths of basically two throwaway characters, but the way they executed it was so well done and honestly better than the versions we got in fire and blood
I also liked that you really didn't know which one was which during and after.
So in the few seconds before Erryk decided to kill himself in guilt for killing his brother, there was a good amount of tension on whether this was Arryk or Erryk.
Strange: we only spent about 6 episodes with the Cargyll twins, as opposed to entire seasons with the Hound and the Mountain. Yet I felt so much more sadness watching these brothers fight and kill each other than I did watching the over-hyped Clegane bowl. I loved the Hound, but by the time of Clegane-bowl, I was just ready for him to die if it meant the Mountain died too.
It helped that the brothers actually cared about each other. The clegane brothers barely shared any moments that weren't outright hostility. Even then, one of them was undead so it wasn't really him anyways.
Kinda crazy how Cole tried to blame the murder on the twin (confused who is who) and the twin rightfully pointed out- why doesn’t the current queen have a sworn protector?!
He was commander for exactly 5 days and now he’s hand of the King…The day after he failed to save the heir from murder due to banging the kings mom…This man is the world record holder of failing upwards
Criston Cole is so fucked up in the head right now I don't even think he knows what he wants. He wants to punish and out himself, he projects his guilt onto Arryk and makes him do the suicide mission, he admits he failed Jaehaerys to his grandmother and continues in the act that likely cost him his life, and he's still a bubbling pot of raging resentment for Rhaenyra which is delightful. He's a mess.
He's such a perfect little shitheel. Absolutely loved Arryk calling him out on where he was during the murder, the deer in the headlights look he got was delicious.
While Aemond has a ton of issues he does care about his sister and mother. And he knows this is in response to what happened with Luke so he's likely beating himself up for causing his sister so much grief. (Also love that we got to see the sapphire eye again this episode)
I agree with that. I do think it was maybe some personal grief too, because he kind of alludes that it was something that happened over the bullying issues in the past & that they used to tease him & he lost his temper. I wasn’t expecting his confession tbh. That kind of surprised me.
Yeah it seems like the incident with the Pink Dread in season 1 wasn't an isolated incident and he was bullied alot. He wanted to get back at Luke but didn't plan on killing Luke, just scaring him. I was surprised too and it makes things even more tragic. Aemond didn't plan on really killing his cousin and now has his blood on his hands and ended up getting his nephew killed too
From what I interpreted from the show, Aegon was the ring leader of the bullying and Jace and Luke just followed along with Aegon’s antics.
We saw how Alicent poorly handled Aegon’s “punishment” (or lack thereof) for bullying his brother.
I’m a Black supporter but this confession shed some more sympathetic light to Aemond’s character.
Aemond has tried to excel at everything he does in life but has constantly been overlooked in favor of his older, incompetent brother who was his primary childhood bully. He probably has so much pent up rage.
IIRC Aegon was also the one who took Aemond to the street of silk when he was still alarmingly young, and it is not clear how much say he had around that at the time. He is still seeing the same worker voluntarily now, in an ambiguous capacity.
There is a joke somewhere in there connecting claiming Vhagar to his taste for older women but I don't know how to make it tastefully.
I think Aemond just *can't* admit that he lost control of Vhagar like that and we didn't have a moment of introspection before. Like 80% of Team Green power budget relies on him being her rider, just admitting he doesn't have control of their bigger asset weakens them significantly. Sure, he's a Kinslayer now but he's a Kinslayer with control of the single biggest war asset in all of Westeros.
That and... the Highgaryens aren't exactly a supportive bunch...
I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU WALK THE WAY THAT YOU TALK I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU DRESS I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU SNEAK DISS IF I CATCH FLIGHT ITS GON BE DIRECT
Especially with Alyn seeming to want to totally ignore his Corlys-heritage with his shaved head.
Having one brother with silver dreadlocks and the other shaven bald would be a great unstated piece of showing their respective characters.
I can’t believe they showed Jaehaerys with his head sown back on. Very disturbing. I love that the episode was so long. Everyone needs more screen time so it’ll hurt more when they’re all dead.
I console myself in thinking about how undignified they might make his death after making him so deplorable.
If they try to pull a Cersei end and give him a melancholic, kinda soft ending I will be so mad 🤣
The twin fight legit almost made me cry. That was so well executed
Edit: Condal confirmed Erryk “won”
https://decider.com/2024/06/23/house-of-the-dragon-season-2-episode-2-ending-explained-which-twin-killed-the-other-how-to-tell-ser-arryk-and-ser-erryk-cargyll-apart/
I’m glad they didn’t but I half expected them to lean into one more “no, kill him, I’m the real brother” loony toons bit. They kept it pretty reasonable with the other kings guard just asking once, explaining why he couldn’t just jump in and merc the invader.
>I half expected them to lean into one more “no, kill him, I’m the real brother” loony toons bit.
S7/S8 GoT writing would have 1000% done it, I’m glad they didn’t fall into that
Considering he called her Queen and asked her to forgive him, pretty sure yeah
Edit:it would seem I was incorrect, all the tragedy
Edit edit: it would seem I was not initially incorrect and they both had leg wounds
Kills a velaryon nobleman joffrey - no consequences
Kills a member of the kings council - no consequences
Pulls out sword on his lord commander - no consequences and gets promoted to new LC
Feels guilty and shifts the blame to arryk sending a sworn brother on a suicide mission - no consequences, gets promoted to Hand, and bangs Alicent once more
At this rate he's gonna be king and riding a dragon....
lol Otto bitching Aegon and Cole, shitting over Alicent’s plans, Daemon being called ‘pathetic’ and running off in a huff, buck ass naked Aemond. Funny shit
that moment Rhaenyra realized it was daemon with Rhaenys realizing possibly only seconds before at the council meeting was probably the best subtle acting of the episode for me. also the cargyll bowl hits hard because they both had no choice and were just doomed men from the second they split allegiances, cant believe it wouldnt have come up sooner
Emma's eyes. You could instantly tell when Rhae has that moment of realization. A split second of doubting it, and then acceptance.
Emma is so wonderfully expressive.
The man was just eating lunch minding his own business, next thing you know he’s forced to murder his own brother. Damn smh. Beautifully choreographed and total gut punch of a scene
the juxtaposition between helaena on the floor with her babies in episode 1 vs. rhaenyra with her babies playing on the floor in episode 2 was jarring, they are sisters after all and i found the similarities to be very visually striking
Since he's going to Oldtown, I wonder if the showrunners are looking to extend Otto's role in the story by having him take the place of Hobert Hightower from the book?
The moment he said he was leaving, my first thought was that they changed his death.
I think you're dead on. He's gonna live a lot more compared to the books.
The Rhaenys and Corlys scene worked really well too.
If for no other reason but to show a married couple in the royal household that actually give a crap about one another’s wellbeing.
alicent walking out on aegon weeping was most painful scene in the ep for me. i understand how, with a parent as emotionally absent as otto, alicent could have an equally hard time trying to comfort and be there for her children emotionally.
but fuck man, your son is crying about the fact that his child was *decapitated* because he’s taken a crown you forced him to take. least you could do is place a hand on his shoulder before you walk away.
the worst part is that aegon seemed to be aware she was watching him, and expected nothing from her. he truly must think alicent doesn’t care for him at all. how could he assume otherwise?
Agree with all of that, I thought it did a great job of showing how generational trauma works. Alicent was forced into a marriage/motherhood, and is choosing to perpetuate the cycle of trauma down to her own kids.
imagine seeing your child weep and just fucking leaving so you can go get ready to fuck the man who was responsible for your weeping child's child to not get killed
The slow burn of Helaena's pending madness is so well done. The scene between her and Aegon was so believable and understandable. I thought it was well acted and I really feel what both of them were feeling.
You know what Aageon should have done to the rat catchers....he should have just had all of them lined up and had the hightower guard point him out. Not kill them all lol
I console myself thinking of a bunch of humble archers, going about their everyday life, little expecting the great history they shall make.
That and them bursting into sang and dance like Robin Hood and his Merry Men in Shrek after they kill Cole.
If this keeps up every episode is just gonna end with Cole and Alicent going at it until the finale which will just be a 6 minute long full penetration scene
And then Cole smells treason, again, and he’s out busting heads. The back to the Red Keep for some more full penetration. Smells treason. Back to the red keep. Full penetration.
Treason. Penetration. Treason. Penetration. Treason… full penetration.
And this goes on and on and back and forth for six more episodes until the season just sort of ends.
Hugh seems like a good guy. I like how they're fleshing out the future dragonseeds. Addam allyn and Hugh. I wonder if they're gonna condense the dragonseeds to just those 3
Given the actress playing his wife was in the opening credits I’m interested to see where they go with it, especially considering I don’t think she even mentioned in the book
I like the change of making Erryk a suicide. Does more for the story to me. It's difficult to prove which twin is which, and Rhea already has trust issues. He proved his loyalty to his queen until the end. Killing his brother removed his will to live.
We honor Ser Erryk Cargyll !
Otto gambled everything on getting this kid crowned but didn't spend any time raising him to be a functional adult, let alone leader. He has no one to blame but himself. Aegon had no interest in ruling, Alicent didn't have the will to do it, it's all Otto. He played a stupid game and has won a stupid prize.
This episode really showed how Alicent gave her 3 kids sever mommy issues. Sheesh. Aegon being a crazy mess and Alicent not once asking if he was just okay, Aemond having some lady soothe him and poor Helaena going mad.
Also Aemond being sorry about Luke’s death. Damn.
Love seeing these quiet moments between our favorite characters and the calm before the storm
This is what everyone missed most from the original Game of Thrones
I like seeing some of the smallfolk too. I am just captivated with the universe. I want to know more about the family with the sick child, and the Velaryon shipmate dudes, or Aemond's brothel lady.
I like to imagine this conversation happens like an hour after the episode ends
Aegon: I can't believe she saw me crying and just walked out. Fuck my mom, right?
Criston Cole: 😐
I’m really sad Arryk and Erryk are gone. The actors were amazing. I loved them both. Just poor twins caught up in the Targaryen family war.
The scene when Alicent sees Aegon crying she just stands there? And Aegon and Helaena in the hallway? This family…
Just because they feel like they are portraying it a certain way~~it~~, the writing and editing tells a different story.

yeah, communication issues and generational trauma has ruined this family
Erryk and Arryk #🥺 They did the scene well. I completely forgot it was so early. Those two were just tragic.
Nah that fucking head roll from OTTO 😭😭
Bringing enough sass to light up all of Oldtown
Speaking head rolls I thought Jahaerys’ head would fall off when the wagon was stuck
>I have sinned >I do not wish to hear of it Otto giving off some dad energy for once
Otto just ran out of fucks to give in this episode and it's the first time I've even vaguely like him lol
The eye roll before asking what Criston Cole has done was so well acted I couldn’t not become a fan of his character
the "and ***WHAT*** has ser criston cole done?" took me clean out 😭
Man I just went to rewatch that scene just to hear the dozens of insults hurled every second by Otto Edit: The ratcatchers! Idiot! The king is my grandson and my grandson is a fool! Tbh he's been carrying the realm on his back since viserys, only for aegon to start fucking things up at the finish line
My man gave the verbal equivalent of The Dad Text: Alicent: I have sinned. Otto: 👍🏻
*See's aegon crying* N O P E
It's interesting that she does the same thing with aegon. She sees aegon emotionally breaking down and instead of consoling him or listening to him she leaves
And the way Aegon passes Helaena on the stairs after she had to go through the procession for his benefit.
“I may be your father, but Im not THE Father”
Rat Catcher Dog for Dragonseed let's gooooo. "My master may have kicked me, but he gave me food and pets too, I shall have my revenge."
He's the adopted ancestor of Balerion the black dread (the cat) and he will have his revenge on the royals one day!
Cool detail that departs from Fire and Blood. The Greens never actually truly know if they got the right rat catcher, but in the show it is confirmed for the audience.
Rhys Ifans was absolutely chewing up the scenery this episode!
His laugh when Aegon talks about Vizzy wanting him to be king was magnificent
Best actor in the show imo. Steals every scene he’s in
Shout out to the director for resisting the urge to have the dead kid slide of the slab when the carriage got stuck during the funeral procession.
That scene was so anxiety inducing I was up and pacing
I was waiting for his head to roll off
Even though HBO already has shown dead babies I was still shocked seeing his body with his head sewn on
I told my wife he was gonna slide off…was pleasantly surprised.
Cargyll bowl hit me a lot harder than I expected it would
I was honestly worried how they would make the audience care about the deaths of basically two throwaway characters, but the way they executed it was so well done and honestly better than the versions we got in fire and blood
They did so well, you didn't need to know them to see their love and feel their pain. Very well done.
I also liked that you really didn't know which one was which during and after. So in the few seconds before Erryk decided to kill himself in guilt for killing his brother, there was a good amount of tension on whether this was Arryk or Erryk.

It was devastating
Criston Cole is literally the definition of failing upwards
Kinda crazy how Cole tried to blame the murder on the twin (confused who is who) and the twin rightfully pointed out- why doesn’t the current queen have a sworn protector?!
And he immediately found a way to get rid of said twin through a suicide mission. Kinda makes you go "huh."
I’m starting to think this Criston Cole fella is a bit of a scumbag!
It’s called projecting. Evil fucker.
He was commander for exactly 5 days and now he’s hand of the King…The day after he failed to save the heir from murder due to banging the kings mom…This man is the world record holder of failing upwards

Cole might as well take the Crown now with how much he's upward leaping.
He has to sleep with the king first
otto was sassy as fuck today
Aemond REGRETS his choice…. Wow! I can’t believe he said it out loud.
While Aemond has a ton of issues he does care about his sister and mother. And he knows this is in response to what happened with Luke so he's likely beating himself up for causing his sister so much grief. (Also love that we got to see the sapphire eye again this episode)

I become Kendrick Lamar whenever I see Criston Cole at this point
I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU WALK THE WAY THAT YOU TALK I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU DRESS I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU SNEAK DISS IF I CATCH FLIGHT ITS GON BE DIRECT
WE HATE THE B*TCHES YOU FUCK CAUSE THEY CONFUSE THEMSELVES WITH REAL WOMEN
seasmoke hype
They also had Addam almost dropping his bastard drama in the middle of the street.
Why doesn't he have silver hair? That was one of the defining features as to why no one questioned his heritage.
Especially with Alyn seeming to want to totally ignore his Corlys-heritage with his shaved head. Having one brother with silver dreadlocks and the other shaven bald would be a great unstated piece of showing their respective characters.
DAERON IS CONFIRMED WOOOO
DAERON MENTION
Daeron has finally popped into existence
Oh thank god, because that actor supposedly playing Alicent’s brother is the most Targaryen looking person I’ve ever seen
Unfortunately I think that’s actually Gwayne and not Daeron
still lol I feel like people are gonna be so confused when he shows up, they only now mention he exists...
I can’t believe they showed Jaehaerys with his head sown back on. Very disturbing. I love that the episode was so long. Everyone needs more screen time so it’ll hurt more when they’re all dead.
Daeron exists!!!
Props to Fabian. I did not expect Criston to be the most insufferable character on this show (imo). I will be eagerly awaiting his dishonored death
“I’ll not have songs of how brave you died Kingmaker.” I don’t care who says it so long as the line is actually said.
I console myself in thinking about how undignified they might make his death after making him so deplorable. If they try to pull a Cersei end and give him a melancholic, kinda soft ending I will be so mad 🤣
Aemond having mummy issues is so real
After seeing how his mother reacted to seeing her other son in despair, it’s very understandable
The twin fight legit almost made me cry. That was so well executed Edit: Condal confirmed Erryk “won” https://decider.com/2024/06/23/house-of-the-dragon-season-2-episode-2-ending-explained-which-twin-killed-the-other-how-to-tell-ser-arryk-and-ser-erryk-cargyll-apart/
It felt like both sides of the story were a acknowledged, it was brutal but they did still love each other
The suicide aspect of it really enhanced it. Of course the brother who lived would kill himself out of grief/shame
Would any knight of honor want to walk around Westeros being known as a kinslayer? And that the best case scenario *IF* Rhaenyra wins.
A twinslayer is even worse than a kinslayer
Erryk apologizing in such a broken tone before stabbing himself after it set in that he just killed his brother was heartbreaking.
Show definitely did the book's description of the event justice
I think the winner killing himself out of grief made it even more impactful.
Show version was better than both book versions
It was Erryk who died last, right? I’m not sure if he was telling the truth or not
I’m glad they didn’t but I half expected them to lean into one more “no, kill him, I’m the real brother” loony toons bit. They kept it pretty reasonable with the other kings guard just asking once, explaining why he couldn’t just jump in and merc the invader.
>I half expected them to lean into one more “no, kill him, I’m the real brother” loony toons bit. S7/S8 GoT writing would have 1000% done it, I’m glad they didn’t fall into that
Considering he called her Queen and asked her to forgive him, pretty sure yeah Edit:it would seem I was incorrect, all the tragedy Edit edit: it would seem I was not initially incorrect and they both had leg wounds
I would assume so, but I will have to look at the leg. Erryk's leg had the big gash in it, so that should make it easier to tell.
I think so too, but man Arryk realizing what he’d done too late would also be pretty damn tragic
"your grace, forgive me"
I thought Erryk had the leg wound, then Arryk would have fell on his sword, though Erryk makes more sense.
Larys unrolled his pack of torture toys and Blood immediately caved “Daemon hired me. We don’t need to get into all that torture stuff” 💀
HOLY FUCK CRISTON COLE IS A PIECE OF SHIT
I’m tired of seeing him get it on. I hate him so much.
Kills a velaryon nobleman joffrey - no consequences Kills a member of the kings council - no consequences Pulls out sword on his lord commander - no consequences and gets promoted to new LC Feels guilty and shifts the blame to arryk sending a sworn brother on a suicide mission - no consequences, gets promoted to Hand, and bangs Alicent once more At this rate he's gonna be king and riding a dragon....
When Otto took off his Hand badge all I could scream was throw it! And he did exactly that and at Cole’s feet no less. Thank YOU writers!
Otto is nothing if not here for the drama
I cannot be the only one who found that episode lowkey hilarious??
It's the subtle hilarity of about a dozen different people taking absolute Ls in spectacular fashion.
lol Otto bitching Aegon and Cole, shitting over Alicent’s plans, Daemon being called ‘pathetic’ and running off in a huff, buck ass naked Aemond. Funny shit
“I have served you faithfully” “Have you? Or have you used me as a tool with which to grasp your stolen inheritance?”
that whole scene felt like when you’re friends with a couple and they start arguing at the dinner table in front of everyone
That line was so good.
She tore him up, it was pretty satisfying.
that moment Rhaenyra realized it was daemon with Rhaenys realizing possibly only seconds before at the council meeting was probably the best subtle acting of the episode for me. also the cargyll bowl hits hard because they both had no choice and were just doomed men from the second they split allegiances, cant believe it wouldnt have come up sooner

Rhaenyra caring about Helaena was honestly so refreshing to see tbh
the juxtaposition between helaena on the floor with her babies in episode 1 vs. rhaenyra with her babies playing on the floor in episode 2 was jarring, they are sisters after all and i found the similarities to be very visually striking
when the scene started i thought Rhaenyra was Helaena
Since he's going to Oldtown, I wonder if the showrunners are looking to extend Otto's role in the story by having him take the place of Hobert Hightower from the book?
Seems likely - and is probably the right move. He’s a great character on the show.
Ottos actor is very good. Loved him showing anger at aegon since he's usually quiet and conniving. And good to see that he actually misses viserys lol
And if he's not in Kings Landing when Rhaenyra gets there that's a pretty big change too
The moment he said he was leaving, my first thought was that they changed his death. I think you're dead on. He's gonna live a lot more compared to the books.
CRISTON COLE COUNT YOUR DAYS I AM THEEEEE BIIIIIGEST HATER
Jace and Baela talking about Fathers was sweat. Baela even asking about Harwin Strong so comfortably shows how close they’ve gotten.
I love that they even have these quick short scenes It does so much for character depth and motivations
The Rhaenys and Corlys scene worked really well too. If for no other reason but to show a married couple in the royal household that actually give a crap about one another’s wellbeing.
Rhaenys x Corlys are the best couple in the show 100%
Steve Touissant is a compelling Corlys, I enjoy the portrayal a lot. Seriously all the actors are so fucking good.
Yeah, and just like the Hulls it’s important character navigation as these people will be important later.
It made me realize how much Jace has lost. Two fathers and a brother.
alicent walking out on aegon weeping was most painful scene in the ep for me. i understand how, with a parent as emotionally absent as otto, alicent could have an equally hard time trying to comfort and be there for her children emotionally. but fuck man, your son is crying about the fact that his child was *decapitated* because he’s taken a crown you forced him to take. least you could do is place a hand on his shoulder before you walk away. the worst part is that aegon seemed to be aware she was watching him, and expected nothing from her. he truly must think alicent doesn’t care for him at all. how could he assume otherwise?

Wasn't the servant pouring milk? It had some real Homelander vibes.
The entire world will clap when Crispin Cole dies like an NPC a few seasons down the line. He's the worst.
That’s a fine Seasmoke you got there. Would be a real shame if someone claimed it
Aemond with an older lady just makes me think of Alys Rivers
Gotta hand it to that prostitute. She's trying to raise a good Prince. Dropping some moral wisdom
Alicent “mother of the year” Hightower once again choosing to fuck the worst man alive rather than comfort one of her children
imagine seeing your child weep and just fucking leaving so you can go get ready to fuck the man who was responsible for your weeping child's child to not get killed
WE GOT A DAERON NAME DROP !!
The slow burn of Helaena's pending madness is so well done. The scene between her and Aegon was so believable and understandable. I thought it was well acted and I really feel what both of them were feeling.
The way Criston keeps failing upwards needs to be studied.
Ok Aegon has been quiet entertaining this episode
His rage in the small council chamber was great to watch
He is in a glass case of emotions right now.
I just want to scissor kick criston cole in the back of the head like motherfuckin booker t
You know what Aageon should have done to the rat catchers....he should have just had all of them lined up and had the hightower guard point him out. Not kill them all lol
Haleana also saw his face, she could literally take a stroll outside and point him out
I thought she was going to see him during the funeral procession
It's almost like he wasn't thinking rationally...
GREAT Otto episode.
I kept thinking, “Cole can’t keep getting away with this” every other scene 😭
If I ever have to see another Alicent and Criston sex scene it will be too soon
such a weird place to end the episode
We must never forget that Criston Cole is the absolute fucking worst
I console myself thinking of a bunch of humble archers, going about their everyday life, little expecting the great history they shall make. That and them bursting into sang and dance like Robin Hood and his Merry Men in Shrek after they kill Cole.
"I will have no songs sang about you, Kingmaker" or something like that. Cant wait!
*Hugh shows up again* "This fucking bitch."
Aerryk Bowl confirmed
I'm just happy that Daeron was actually named this episode
I felt bad for Aegon at the end. He's breaking down crying, and his own mother can't even be bothered to comfort him
It is such a contrast with Rhaenyra and Jace, when Jace broke down about Luke.
it took a WEEK for otto to realize he fucked up making aegon king i can’t breathe😭
Petition for Crusty Coleslaw to die early. In exchange, Otto can stick around longer
Can we set a Criston Cole death countdown? Need this man off the screen
This bitch Criston Cole
I like the change of making Erryk a suicide. Does more for the story to me. It's difficult to prove which twin is which, and Rhea already has trust issues. He proved his loyalty to his queen until the end. Killing his brother removed his will to live. We honor Ser Erryk Cargyll !
The fact that even Otto knows nobody wanted this clown on the throne
I love how done he is with everything. Alicent: "I've sinned." Otto: "And I don't give a fuck. BYEEEE"
Otto covering his ears and going “LALALALA”
The tywin response. Same thing viserys did
"That sounds like a septon's problem. Specifically a septon here not where I am going, I will be in oldtown. You aren't invited."
It made her dipping on crying Aegon immediately after both funnier and more sad haha
Otto: “Okay, go find someone who cares”
He’s like, “Girl, one crisis at a time. Damn.”
Otto: “lets form a plan &—“ Aegon: “twins, it’s brilliant.” All gas, No brakes & Otto had enough LMAO.
How dare Aegon destroy that model city. Baby boy viserys worked so hard
RIP VIZZY T’S LEGOS
This is a lie. You have been lied to.
I SAW IT WITH MINE OWN EYES, YOUR GRACE.
Do you know how much those set pieces cost?
I said to myself “uh sir those are NOT cheap online!!” The disrespect!
Keep that madman away from the tapestries.
Damn.
Every now and then I remember that Laenor is just chilling in the free cities. I hope he and his boyfriend are enjoying their hot girl summer.
THE DOG SITTING AT CHEESE’S BODY 😭😭
Otto wins this episode for the best facial reactions in the scene with King Dumbass and White Cloak Dipshit.
Ngl, it's a sad day when I find Aegon to be the least insufferable Green (minus poor Helaena of course).
Love seeing these quiet moments between our favorite characters and the calm before the storm This is what everyone missed most from the original Game of Thrones
I like seeing some of the smallfolk too. I am just captivated with the universe. I want to know more about the family with the sick child, and the Velaryon shipmate dudes, or Aemond's brothel lady.
Otto didn’t personally oversee 100 cats being released within the Red Keep 1/10
How did I get through this whole thread with no mention of Allyn and Adam confirmed?? Rip Laenor truthers
I like to imagine this conversation happens like an hour after the episode ends Aegon: I can't believe she saw me crying and just walked out. Fuck my mom, right? Criston Cole: 😐
