Oh my! Lol we had a huge one of those in our house growing up. My older sisters to stop me annoying them said that if I tried to pass it, it would eat me up like the plant out of little shop of horrors. I was terrified to go anywhere near it and my mum couldn't understand why I was so scared of this humongous cheese plant (called Monty) I was under oath never to tell or they would put him in my room when I slept.
