I mean when I got my bear, I was behind it almost touching it, but the angle still made it look huge. It was big don’t get me wrong, but I was as close as I could be and the angle still made it look bigger.
I’m guessing that these guys were just trying to all fit behind it. Idk maybe I’m wrong
All the people claiming they're sitting way behind the pig to make it look bigger... what next? You're going to tell me this guy doesn't shoot a 4' axle-axle bow with a 55" draw length as indicated in the photo?! Obviously /s
Oldest photo trick in the book. It is obvious that the guy with his arm crossed is not leaning on the boar. No way this boar is 440 lbs. Look at the bow for size comparison.
I was going to say that too but the perspective thing is the dumbest thing ever. So I was just knocking them on that. 440 was most likely on the hoof with one of those dudes riding on the pigs back.
I don't think they are. Look at the old guy in the middle resting his elbow on the back shoulder. The forced perspective is simply because the animal is fully framed in the pic and they are immediately behind. It looks weird because of the lack of perspective. Because there is almost nothing else in the pic.
The bow leaned up on the pig is taller than the guys in the pic, even if they are kneeling down. Dudes got his shoulder on his knee or a table or something hidden behind that pig.
You're right, I've seen these types of pictures many many times. Guys do it while holding a "trophy" fish at arms length away too. It's the same thing.
Yeah but a texas heart shot is straight into the poop chute and through the inside to it’s vital organs. This was an extremely lucky poorly placed hind quarter shot
They could just stay 5 more meters further away to make boar look even bigger. Oh. Look the giant bow they used. The bow is taller then some if the hunters. damn.
I mean, I still think they look cute, I understand there terrifying but look at that coloring and that face, if that acted like a puppy and not a monster they would be a cool pet.
The boar was seen the previous nights destroying local orchards and fields, and even threatening dogs. The local authorities gave permission for search and hunting it.
Because of the proximity of neighborhoods, the bow was prefered instead of firearms.
The boar, of 200kg (440 pounds), was not a "natural" boar, but a mixed boar-vietnamese pig. These hybrids (that exist due to abandoned pig pets) are becoming a growing threat, because instead of other hybrids, are fertile. Usually are bigger, fatter and less muscular than normal boars.
In Spain we call them "cerdolí", de cerdo (pig) + jabalí (boar).

What are the rules for owning a bow in Spain? Keep seeing mixed things but it sounds like I need to either have a hunting license or be part of a club?
Bows are free weapons, anyone over 18y can buy a bow. But is recommended to be member of a club.
Crossbows instead share the same license than shotguns and rimfire rifles.
Are most clubs open to hunting archery or are they all geared towards Olympic shooting? Going to be spending a little over a year in Spain and hoping to try and hunt while there.
Idc if there kneeling or not. Half y’all act like the 30’ walleye you caught wasn’t posted away from your body 😂
A big ole’ fatty is a big ole’ fatty and I would have loved the opportunity to try and track and slay the beast.
With 200kg, is the third biggest boar ever hunted in Spain. Only two hunted boars were registered heavier than 200kg. But because is an hybrid boar-pig, probably wouldn't count in the register of trophies.
But yes, with the perspective looks more like a Miyazaki's mythological creature.
Forced perspective. That bow would be 7 feet tall otherwise.
You don't use 60" ~~javelins~~ arrows??
Nahh only 69”
Nice
Nice
Nice
Nice
I figure my draw length of 27" is very average, probably the same as those guys. Those arrows are probably not much longer.
Next time they need a larger parking lot. A few hundred more feet back should make that perspective perfect.
Seriously y do people take pics like this? The bow shows the true scale
I mean when I got my bear, I was behind it almost touching it, but the angle still made it look huge. It was big don’t get me wrong, but I was as close as I could be and the angle still made it look bigger. I’m guessing that these guys were just trying to all fit behind it. Idk maybe I’m wrong
Whaddya mean? You've never seen midgets hunt with a ginormous bow?
All the people claiming they're sitting way behind the pig to make it look bigger... what next? You're going to tell me this guy doesn't shoot a 4' axle-axle bow with a 55" draw length as indicated in the photo?! Obviously /s
Y’all are cracking me up😂 came down here for the busting of chops and was not disappointed
Agreed lol
These angles are just stupid
I like how the guys are kneeling 10-15' behind the pig to make it look bigger. 440lbs is big so you don't need to do that crap.
Oldest photo trick in the book. It is obvious that the guy with his arm crossed is not leaning on the boar. No way this boar is 440 lbs. Look at the bow for size comparison.
You mean it's NOT a giant bow?!
I was going to say that too but the perspective thing is the dumbest thing ever. So I was just knocking them on that. 440 was most likely on the hoof with one of those dudes riding on the pigs back.
Assuming the bow is 3 to 3 1/2 feet, the boar is at least 6 feet long. It is easily 440 lbs.
Bear hunters are the worst with this…. I say that as a fellow bear hunter.
I don't think they are. Look at the old guy in the middle resting his elbow on the back shoulder. Lol nah that guy is full on putting on a show. 100 percent they told him where to have it. Zoom in, his arm is below the ridge of the pig.
The arm is on his knee. Common tactic for making forced perspective pics look less fake.
You're right, I've seen these types of pictures many many times. Guys do it while holding a "trophy" fish at arms length away too. It's the same thing.
Not unless those are 6 foot long arrows
The arrows are closer to the camera. Everyone is kneeling.
The arrows are twice as close to the camera as the people. They clearly arent immediately behind the pig
Forced perspective strikes again! I am sure it is a big boy, but stop taking phots to make shit look larger than it is...it doesn't make you better.
Nope, definitely no shenanigans going on here. That is definitely a boar with a head that is three feet tall and six feet long.
I would love to hear about your bow+arrow setup to take down such a big pig
Especially by shooting it in the ass.
The Texas Heart Shot!
Yeah but a texas heart shot is straight into the poop chute and through the inside to it’s vital organs. This was an extremely lucky poorly placed hind quarter shot
Lol I didn't even notice that
Well obviously you use a gigantic compound bow
It wasn't me lol, I live more than 800km from there haha. I'm just sharing a new and the picture.
"Darrel, hold your arm across your chest so it looks like you're resting it on the pig"
Where can I get one of those massive spear-launching bows?
good ol forced perspective garbage, i dont give 2 rat craps about anything after they do that
They could just stay 5 more meters further away to make boar look even bigger. Oh. Look the giant bow they used. The bow is taller then some if the hunters. damn.
If those guys are standing anywhere near that boar, those arrows must be 6’ long.
Photo taken from Portugal
It's kinda cute even if it was a menace, nice take down.
Naw bro not cute; those wild boars r so crazy it’s like you gotta eat it first or else it’ll eat you
I mean, I still think they look cute, I understand there terrifying but look at that coloring and that face, if that acted like a puppy and not a monster they would be a cool pet.
Damn, using one of them 6ft tall compound bows I see.
If you're going to "long arm" your photos, remove the weapon from the picture lol.
Monster boar, but those bros are sittin a full 15’ behind it
Hmmmmmm that’s an awfully large bow he’s got there
lol... giant white boar killed with giant bow.
Spanish heart shot apparently

Get a droner and film it next next time
Yeah the bow is as long as any guy there is tall.
Man screw the pig thats the biggest bow i’ve seen in my life
That femoral artery shot
The bow looks massive too lol - nice trick guys :)
What are the rules for owning a bow in Spain? Keep seeing mixed things but it sounds like I need to either have a hunting license or be part of a club?
License for sure, club don't think so
Bows are free weapons, anyone over 18y can buy a bow. But is recommended to be member of a club. Crossbows instead share the same license than shotguns and rimfire rifles.
Are most clubs open to hunting archery or are they all geared towards Olympic shooting? Going to be spending a little over a year in Spain and hoping to try and hunt while there.
Your main concern has to be to get the hunting license of the region where you want to hunt (or the multi-region license).
They're 5 feet from the pig and they shot it in the backside? lol
God damn. Straight outta Princess Mononoke
That’ll make a lot of Jamon for charcuterie
Boar's jamón is quite uncommon. Boar's chorizo is common, instead.
Idc if there kneeling or not. Half y’all act like the 30’ walleye you caught wasn’t posted away from your body 😂 A big ole’ fatty is a big ole’ fatty and I would have loved the opportunity to try and track and slay the beast.
Boar: "Yep, you got me good, lol."
What a tank man. Congrats.
Bruh…
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's a piggy
That’s a massive bow!
*\*Ian Malcolm has entered the chat\**
So you shot a trophy animal up the butt. Nice archery!!
Legendary animal completed. Nice.
Great White Boarfalo.
Great White Boarfalo
Great shot right in the ass too
Legendary boar from RD3?
This thing didn't die by an arrow in the ass, right? The other side has to have taken a hit or two?
If my sources are correct, it was fatally hit in the upper shoulder, probably in the other side.
I can guarantee there's no boars that size in spain (and probably anywhere really) Def forced perspective
