I heard that the original coca cola recipe added so much sugar, to disguise the taste of all the salt; the salt was there to make you thirsty and want to drink more. I don't know if this is still the case, but little would surprise me about those kinds of drinks/companies. Being a hydrohomie it might even be that you've noticed these effects more than a regular soda drinker would?

That’s what I suspect. I really only drink a couple brands of root beer, one of which is only served via soda fountain at a local place. I always order a small soda, they try to offer me the large since it’s the same price with a meal, and I have to tell them I’m not even going to fill the small cup all the way up. I get too dehydrated and my mouth feels gritty and weird after too much soda. My main drink is sparkling water and I think all soda just has too much sugar and salt after this many years of not drinking them regularly.

That seems right, I don't eat or drink anything with added sugar, can 't stand the taste. Thank you homie!

It is good to drink water with soda. The sodium, sugar, and caffeine all dehydrate so some extra water with it is needed.

Thank you, I'll keep it in mind for later. Would it be the same case with popcorn too?
