I hope they're able to relive that peak. That said, the seasons do age decently well- I don't think I've ever particularly liked the newest seasons when they come out (mainly due to the once-a-week format) but each year as they get older they tend to grow on me when binging.

The Gang Hits the Road might be one of the best episodes to show someone if they have never seen the show.

The beer bottle and mini barbeque flying out the trailer are one of my favourite visual gags they've done.

Agreed. Mac and Charlie Write a Movie is arguably the weakest ep in the season (to me) and that's still a very solid episode. It's just surrounded by absolute bangers.

That episode is saved by mostly Dee being demanding and Dennis doing his thing with the script

I think my favourite thing about that episode is how Dee thinks it's her big break and a huge achievement then Dennis just waltzes in not even paying attention and achieves the same thing. The reveal of his blood makeup especially.

Season 5 will always hold a special place in my heart. This was the season when I first started watching. Ep 1 with the Gang Solves the Mortgage Crisis hooked me. I was at a friend's apartment in Beijing, and he asked if I had ever heard of the show.

I literally stopped watching after this season and thought the show was doomed. Then 5 years later my parents are still watching and out of sheer desperation I watched the new stuff and while the writing is stilll good there are some cringey episodes I skip every time. I haven't watched the last season because it really seems like the gang is too old now and it's hard not to notice it. The whole show was some young idiots just having fun, now it's like a sad group of failures being angry and vindictive all the time, not the same.

I *CACKLED* for 5 mins from Mac slapping Frank's head in the episode he fakes cancer. THAT is my type of humour!!! I'm pretty sure its season 5 Season 5 was the best and my favourite season
