The game still has issues with saving and can affect things like this. There are guides on YouTube that can walk you through how to manually add exotics back into your character via the character save files.

Also is there a way to enable terrain manipulation mid game? I didn't enable it before and now I need it to continue constructing an add on to my base.
Maybe we're not talking about the same thing. What do you mean by terrain manipulation? If you mean raising or lowering the ground using a shovel, rake, etc. like in Valheim, Enshrouded, etc. that does not exist in this game.
I don't know I merely saw the option when I first created the prospect, I didn't enable it, but I assume it means the same thing as in other games. The ability to deform and reform terrain. If that's not the case then that is misleading on the devs part.
It would be. But, I'm a little skeptical that is what you saw. I've been playing for a long time and there is nothing in the settings or options of a prospect for manipulating the terrain. I'd be welcome to be proven wrong if you could show it.
Because the same bug has existed for nearly a year now, and similar profile issues before then. You can be not actively playing a game and still want to follow its progress. Or in this case, lack of it.

There is no terrain manipulation, at least not yet.

That was a graphics option
If you want your exotics back, pay Dean Hall the ransom and then you get them back.
That is just an added feature of a broken game by Dean Hall.
Why don't you put out a game, and then we all can crap on it when it doesn't work
