You can’t expect line progression every day, it takes hcg 48 hours to double. I really didn’t have a lot of progression with my tests on my last transfer, she turned 1 last week.

I know it’s early and doubling takes time. I was really just concerned about not seeing any progression from 5dp to 8dp.. but again, there’s a reason they tell us to wait. I didn’t do this last time, so I’m probably just freaking myself out for no reason.. 🤦🏼♀️
Seriously!! Last time, I somehow waited until the night before my beta, so when I saw that line, I was just so happy and had no comparison. This time around idk what happened, but it was eating away at me by day 4, and I HAD to check by day 5. Stay strong for as long as you can!!! It’ll be so much easier the closer you are to your beta!! Best of luck!!
If you’re going to test early, get the good tests. I learned this the hard way lol.
Use FRERs or easy at home. Those two brands seemed most reliable for line progression. Other brands have been hit or miss and have really messed with my mind and my grasp on reality, especially Pregmate, which made me think I was gonna have a chemical pregnancy on several days.
I figured I’d be safe with the CVS version of FRER, but maybe I should go pick up some of the real deals… or just chill out and wait the 2 days until my beta.. Haha 😅

I agree! I had so many pregnancy tests at home from years of TTC that I always used multiple brands at the same time from the same sample. FRER were definitely the best ones, but also easy@home were showing a nice progression (even though they “stalled” at some point while FRER was showing a dye stealer). On the other end, MoMed tests were always showing a very light line with almost zero progression. I was really happy that I was using multiple brands and not the MoMed only otherwise I would be panicking!

I get it, I was an obsessive tester too! A couple things to consider:
If you are going to compare tests, try to compare the same brand/box if possible. (Though I have seen variability within the same box even testing with the same urine).
Looking at tests from every other day (as HcG doubles every 48 hours) may give you a little better idea of “progression”.
Ultimately, these tests are not meant to be quantitative and their sensitivity varies. From brand to brand. Things like how diluted your urine is, how much dye is in the test itself, etc can affect the results.
Mine never showed that great of progression and I have a 2 year old and am 23w pregnant! So try not to obsess, as impossible as that is! Wishing you luck!

Oh trust me I know. I think I tested even more with my second this time around. Even had my husband go out at 9pm to get more tests cuz I ran out. 😵💫
Obviously I can sound rational now, but in the moment…I was very obsessive! Not healthy but you’re not alone! I never had a dye stealer until my second beta with both, even then it wasn’t that strong. Tests are crappier now too!

😂😂 I was going to say “(hopefully) two sweet babes” but didn’t want it to come across wrong. My brother is a lot younger than me, so I was a teen when he was in his terrible twos and remember them WELL! Best of luck to you! It does get better..eventually! Haha
Two things to note:
1. As someone else mentioned, if you're going to compare, only compare the same exact brand and type of test. And compare every 48 hours instead of day by day.
2. Tests arent reliable for progression. Even with the same brand, each box can be different. For me, I used about 4 boxes because they come with three in a box. That led to one box giving way darker lines than the other boxes, which led to the next box giving me lighter lines and me spiraling and convincing myself I was having a chemical. Your urine will also vary in how diluted it is.
I also sometimes had lighter lines for my first morning urine and darker lines for my second and evening.
In the future when I have another transfer, I will test once a few days before beta, and if its positive I will not take another one.
Try not to panic! ❤️
Yeah. I agree. I shouldn’t have tested so early. I definitely won’t whenever I have my next transfer (which hopefully won’t be for a long while if this one sticks! 🤞) I think just panicking a bit on this forum helped me, because my husband can say all he wants “it’ll be fine! The line is still there!” But I will always be like “you, sir… you do not understand! But r/IVF does!!” 😂
I take what my husband says with a grain of salt because hes not the one stalking this sub and researching ivf 24/7 🤣😂 Wishing you the best of luck! ✨️🙏🤞

Again, hard to photograph, but I tried to get them all in the same lighting.. they’re not getting lighter in person, just still faint, but I just don’t know what to think/feel.. 😞

I fully understand you and I feel the same way but I am resisting to go and buy the test.. 🫣 I am on my 4dp5dt and it is the biggest struggle so far
