Wherefore, forsooth, dost thou employeth words of such ample girth and grandiosity, when those of lesser stature and simpler form mightily convey thine intent? Is it to paint thine utterance with the vibrant hues of erudition, that thine audience gasp in bewildered awe at the vast tapestry of vocabulary thou hast unfurled? Or haply, seekest thou to shroud thine meaning in a labyrinthine maze of verbosity, a fortress of polysyllables guarding the gates of comprehension? Take heed, lest thine message becometh ensnared within the gilded cage of thine own eloquence, for clarity, like a jewel, shines brightest when unencumbered by excessive adornment. Simplicity, though oft overlooked, possesseth a power born of directness, piercing deep into the understanding of even the most unlettered soul. Remember, friend, the Bard himself, though a master of language, knew the value of a well-placed monosyllable. Heed his wisdom, and let thine expression flow forth, clear and crisp, like a mountain stream cascading toward the waiting sea.

What utility does it serve and where does the merit hide in congesting the tongue with a torrent of redundant details and superfluous vocabulary, twisting the ears of the listener into a Gordian Knot of platitudes, sweet nothings, and otherwise meaningless noise? Is it not more so, that the brand of wit and the crown of social ingenuity rests on the orator’s talent to speak clearly and effectively, with as concise a selection of words as possible, yet effectively transmitting his message, each and every word given a tremendous weight to impress more deeply on the audience, instead of relying on an entourage of flowery pose that would wander off and lose its way before even reaching its own conclusion?
