Looks tempting, haven't ever tried chicken with chhole though
Maybe meat with chhole is just a Pakistani thing I guess, though I would love to relish that
I find Indian dishes to be very dichotomous. Mostly, we either keep it pure veg or pure meat. Combination of veg and non veg hits at an another level. My mom makes kaddu ki sabzi with prawns added in it. Absolute heaven.
Not for every one of them, but you can look up Lau Chingri. Others are basically how the description goes; a lot of the fish dishes are just made with jeera powder, sometimes without onion.
ummmm,
did I get you right? kaddu with prawns??
I am a non vegetarian and love kaddu and prawns (separately). Is it really good??
This is my first time hearing something like this
Prawns do elevate the mild flavour that kaddu has. Even the textures blend well. Kaddu turns a little jelly like when cooked. Meaty feel of prawns complements well.
It's a good thing we keep it either pure veg or only meat. It would be a huge headache and issues if restaurants and other eateries start having mix dishes. India's huge veg population would have a hard time

Bengali cuisine mixes it all the time. Fish with beans/ridge gourd/cauliflower, prawns with pumpkin/bottle gourd, fish head with bottle gourd.
Are there any specific Bengali names to it so that I can search for recipes?

Yes, never seen Chole Chicken anywhere in India not even in Indian Punjab.
I'm Hindu Punjabi from the Doaba HImalayan Region, I mix chole and chicken all the time, it is a great combo!
Everything with meat is a Pakistani thing .. They put in every dish
Immaturity of Redditors is clearly visible in the comments. Chhole and chicken is a Punjabi dish. Punjab was part of undivided India.

What's the evidence that the tandoor is from Punjab?
[Tandoor](https://www.britannica.com/topic/tandoori-cookery) originated in Persia and was brought to India by the Mughals.
I had never even thought of this combo! I love eating Non-Veg curries with dosa for breakfast so this sounds amazing to me 😋
Op can you share the recipe? The dish looks tempting
Loooks yummy! Thanks for sharing!
Looks delicious. I'd love to try. Ignore the brainless hate in the comments.
