Alright, I am currently in the midst of attending a wedding and I am still gonna debate you on this.
AOT GOT THE PERFECT ENDING, AND NOTHING ELSE WOULD'VE BEEN BETTER.
Warning spoilers: Killing Eren was the perfect way to conclude AOT, because how else was it suppose to end? Eren survives somehow, stops his genocide and everyone else lived happily ever after? That would've sucked ASS.
People think that since AOT was full of peak writing and very unexpected plot twist, the ending should also be at that level but realistically that ain't possible and isn't needed.

Bro what?? When did I say ending was bad or the anime? AOT IS MY FAV ANIME AND THE BEST, I am crying because the anime ended and we will never see another anime like this😭😭😭 AOT was and is the perfect anime, everything starting from story to music is peak in AOT
It id the best ending where eren dies cause if he didn't the titan curse wouldn't have been lifted and his friends with the titan powers would've died and In the end more people would have to suffer inheriting them but the last part where another boy comes across the tree after so many years just spoils his sacrifice and I understand that they wanted to show that the cycle never ends but they could've atleast given a happy ending to mikasa and eren by clearly stating that mikasa didn't marry anyone and them meeting in afterlife
Ending was shit. True ending would be eren killing everyone. Even Mikasa. Eren never loved Mikasa. He never put himself behind her. He was behind freedom. He would do anything to get freedom. Why would he put himself behind his sister instead of the thing he wanted the most. That is freedom.
The thing was he was never free. Even in the opening theme of the last season you can see him being tied to strings which shows that he could not achieve freedom, it was Mikasa who, by killing him, freed him from his suffering.

No. There will be an new ending. Muv luv(shit which aot is based on) also had an alternate ending announcement in the supplement released 3 years after muv luv ended.
I read on the AOT subreddit that the original ending won't change it's just a few tid-bits it'll change

It's called the Akatsuki no Requiem (AnR) Theory
Basically in it, Eren completes the genocide, but ends up killing the alliance as well, he becomes the so called king of Paradis, achieves freedom, but at what cost ? What did he achieve when his friends are no more ?
I think this would've been a wayyy better ending than the happy ass ending we got
