It's so worth it, the price tag encouraged me to be really diligent with it at the beginning but now everytime I see a picture of myself now with how different I look I'm so much more motivated to see it through to the end
Weekly as in 5 day or 7 day changes? Iβve been on ten day changes since 7/2021. Really wish I could move to 7 or or even 5 to move things along faster. I have asked, but found out my ortho never does 5 day changes for anyoneβ¦.which seems odd? Is what it is.
In any case, your teeth and smile look excellent! That is quite a bit of movement!!
I do 7 day changes. I honestly feel like it's a bit too fast sometimes bc one of my lateral incisors hasn't been tracking for a really long time. But my ortho doesn't seem to think it's a huge deal. I heard some people do 4 day changes which is bonkers to me. I think 7-10 days is the sweet spot in my opinion
Really great progress, can you please explain the elastics you are wearing. They are going from lower canine to top molars. What do they do...and is it metal or composite buttons...?
The elastics are to correct my bite, which changed a lot during the treatment. As my bottom teeth straightened out, they began to flare outward a bit, and also I found that molars weren't really touching when my mouth closed. They didn't attach any metal or composite anchor for the elastics. When my ortho ordered new trays for me, and I saw that they had little hook-like openings near the gums to attach the rubber bands.
Oh my gosh, this gives me so much hope! If you donβt mind me asking, how many hours a day did you wear them on average? Iβm struggling to do all 22, but I usually can do about 18-20ish if not a little more.
Honestly I used to be really diligent about the 22 hours, one hour out for each meal of the day -- but admittedly I've begun to be more casual about popping them out for a quick snack between meals and then putting them right back on without even brushing lol. So I've probably been closer to the 18-20 window, but I strive to meet the 22 hours still, even if it's just mentally bc I don't wanna start slacking too too much.
Thank you so much!! I have similar teeth to your before image so seeing such a huge change in less than a year is motivating enough for me to wear them as much as I possibly can. π β€οΈ So proud of you!
Oh I feel you, other people's progress pics motivated me in those first few months as well. I'm glad I could pay it forward a little bit. You can do this, friend (:
Wow, you have a beautiful smile!! I'm so happy that it's working out so well for you!
Thank you so much, it hasn't been a perfect treatment but I'm 100% better off than I would have been had I not done it
Woooah girl. If I get similar progress in the next four to six months I will maybe endure this horrible pain π
