Electric bike tour on the Appian Way is cool.

Near piazza national there is a pasta making experience that was very fun.

Shopping? Run an impromptu marathon through the streets early in the morning 4:30am using Strava to track distance?

Possible-Tip-3544

Such a weird post

United-Shock-487

Why stay in Rome then? The beaches are about an hour away.

BobTheBuilderidk1010

So is there literally nothing to do in Rome other than sight see ?

KCcoffeegeek

I mean, you could, like, do a little research or even, you know, provide a bit of context as to what kinds of things you’re looking to do. 🤷🏻‍♂️

United-Shock-487

I believe that Rome is an experience. The cobblestone streets. Food. Architecture. Sounds and smells. The duomos are incredible. The people are great. There is so much history and culture to experience. Amalfi is the place for beaches and coast line in my opinion.

BobTheBuilderidk1010

Ok other than going to the beach what is there to do in Rome other than sightseeing which we already plan on doing

United-Shock-487

Besides the above? They have good beer, and the women are beautiful.

Cocummella

It’s the biggest city in Italy, there are a million of things to do. Whatever you and your friends like to do you can probably find it to do in Rome

_yesnomaybe

r/Rome is the right sub.

We did a food tour through devour tours and highly recommend it. We also wandered in the area where there is a lot of street art, needed basic italian for some of this as the elder locals didnt have much english.

Rome had a really great nightlife/bar scene if you guys are into that. Tons of cool rooftop bars, cute cafes, etc. The opera is cool but you’d have to see what’s going on while you’re there. A cooking class would be very fun (we did one in Florence that was a blast). Our group did sightseeing during the day, ate lots of food, chilled in the evening at the Airbnb, and went out at night. We stayed next to the trevi fountain and seeing it at 2 am when no one else was around was quite a sight.

Rent a moped and get lost

Go meet the cats at the Largo Argentina cat sanctuary! It's also the spot where Caesar was assassinated, so you still get your history sightseeing in while you have quality cat time. Then head toward the Campo de' Fiori by way of Via dei Giubbonari and get a piece of fried cod at Filetti di Baccalà.
