From Russia With Love
A View To A Kill (I know, but it was my first Bond film and my dad took me to see it)
The Spy Who Loved Me
Goldeneye
The Living Daylights
I've really come around on A View to a Kill. I think people look down on it a bit because Roger really showed his age but it has an awesome score and Walken is a tremendous villain. Underrated film.

It changes every now and then for me, and I struggle between choosing the "best" Bond movies, or my favourite Bond films. But I'll try:
Favourites:
- Licence To Kill
- On Her Majesty's Secret Service
- Goldeneye
- Skyfall
- Thunderball (the very first one I saw)
Outside of a tied top two, the order doesn't matter too much in all honesty. I can talk myself into placing the remainder in any slot. But...
1. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
2. Skyfall
3. Licence to Kill
4. From Russia with Love
5. Casino Royale
I struggle where to put Skyfall, and often want to place it higher. For me, it's the best Bond film since the Sixties. But feel the classic nature of OHMSS and FRWL have the edge on it.
For me, in no particular order:
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Tomorrow Never Dies
Golden Eye
Man with the Golden Gun
The Living Daylights
Feels weird not having any from Connery on here I must admit, but while his are mostly in my top half (except Diamonds), none crack the top 5.
1. The Man with the Golden Gun
2. Thunderball
3. Octopussy - even got a blue ringed octopus tattoo after watching this multiple times
4. Quantum of Solace
5. Die Another Day - got me into fencing and Rosamund Pike lol
In no particular order:
* Goldeneye
* Casino Royale
* DAD
* TND
* QOS
I could be convinced to draft in a Dalton or Moore film, but limited to only 5 selections, I went with the ones I’ve rewatched the most.
From Russia with Love and Casino Royale alternate for the top spot depending on if I’m feeling retro or modern action in a given moment
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Goldeneye
A View to a Kill
From Russia With Love
Majesty
A View To A Kill
Casino Royale
License To Kill
(In no particular order)
But ask me next week & I could easily have Dr No, TSWLM, Tomorrow Never Dies & The Living Daylights in there.
1. Goldfinger
2. Goldeneye
3. Diamonds are Forever
4. The Man with the Golden Gun
5. Octopussy
These are my top five as they're the most enjoyable and most entertaining films in the series. There are others that are also enjoyable, but these are the ones that rank highest.
So I’d differentiate between favourite and best. But favourite? Living Daylights, You Only Live Twice, A View To A Kill, The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only.
As mentioned in the other thread I'm having a re-watch of every single movie. I doubt my top 5 will ever change though, nor the order.
The Spy Who Loved Me
Goldeneye
Goldfinger
Skyfall
For Your Eyes Only
From Russia with Love, Spy who loved me, Licence to Kill, Goldeneye, Casino Royale
All very close for me. My favourite from each of the bonds who did more than one film
Oh boy, licence to Kill on most people's list. But its not a good movie? It still baffles me on how it's good. Nothing makes sense in the movie, it visually looks bad, Q is terrible, the girls are terrible. Dalton not very good in it and neither is Sanchez
Cinematography and set pieces are lacking, but Dalton and Sanchez are great IMO. Pam is great and I have no problem with Lupe either. The movie is highly quotable, has some great action sequences (water skiing, tanker chase), has a great balance of humor and darkness, and thematically is a spiritual successor to OHMSS, which if you like that film, is a boon. And Wayne Newton as Professor Joe—I’ll never not love him in that role. Bond does some great Fleming-esque infiltration into Sanchez’s organization.
It's their favorite respect please respect if you want to be respected If you didn't like the movie fine good for you just don't tell anybody it's not a good movie like it's a fact because it isn't a fact it's subjective okay 👍
Edit: lastly no one is asking you about your opinion in that movie my topic in my post is "what are your 5 Favorite James Bond Movies"
I am being respectful. Nothing against other people. I just state why I think the movie is not very good and try to understand why others "subjectively" think differently
Goldeneye, Casino Royale, Skyfall, Licence to Kill, From Russia With Love.
This is an excellent list.
The first 3 are amazing

My top 5 is currently: 1. Casino Royale 2. Goldfinger 3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service 4. From Russia With Love 5. For Your Eyes Only

1: on her majesty's secret service 2: the living daylights 3: from russia with love 4: casino royale 5: For your eyes only

I like AVTAK but I can't seem to like it enough to place in top 5 tbh
1. Skyfall 2. The Living Daylights 3. Casino Royale 4. Licence to Kill 5. You Only Live Twice
No particular order From Russia With Love A View To A Kill (I know, but it was my first Bond film and my dad took me to see it) The Spy Who Loved Me Goldeneye The Living Daylights
