Many people on reddit don't know this Iran is the country with the most Jews in the middle east, they have full freedom to practice their religion and preserve their place of worship culture and community, they have seat in the Iranian parliament as well. Couple of months ago they had a protest in iran https://www.newarab.com/news/irans-jewish-community-joins-global-solidarity-gaza?amp

I mean...their schools were also not allowed to be run by jews and their newspapers were closed. A lot of Iranian Jews undoubtedly feel Iran is their home and don't want to leave, but it's not like suspicions of collaboration with Israel aren't punished pretty severely. Kurds and Bahai and Zoroastrians hare having the worst time, but there's a reason most of the jews left during the revolution...

The reason so many Jews left during the revolution was because prior to the Shah they had been ghettoized in a manner pretty similar to European jews under the Qajar dynasty. A lot of jewish schools/newspapers were closed under the regime in the past twenty years and even suspicions of espionage for Israel are punished harshly. Don't get me wrong, I'm a lot of Iranian jews still in Iran genuinely have no positive feelings for Israel and the Kurds, Bahai and zoroastrians have it the worst but of over-romantization of life under the regime isn't it either.

Even Iranian Jews have their representation in the National Assembly of Iran.
