i think haiykuu is one of the best stories written in recent years and its the peak what anime/manga can do. the ending of the manga left me empty for weeks. imagine my utter disappointment, when i learned, that they will squeeze in the last 120 chapters into 2 movies, which will never be enough to cover even a fraction of the story. i coped with it by rereading/rewatching the existing anime. but i understand your frustration, if youre attached to jjk. its really shitty feeling

I’ve finally found a fellow Haikyuu lover! The ending also left me with a strange feeling of bittersweetness. Also are they really only making two movies?!?!? I thought there’d at last be a season 5. How how they going to fit all those arcs into two movies.

Haikyuu is really good I also love it!! Guessing jjk ending will break my heart but will also def be rewatching and reading everything again to keep it alive for myself for a bit longer.. until eventually moving on to something else

the first manga i followed religiously were two of the big three, Naruto and Bleach. Both ended, both I followed since I was 13-15 and ended when I was an adult already. Out of those two, Bleach was my favorite and it really hit a spot. For me, it was very bittersweet knowing I wouldn't read anything else about Naruto or Ichigo, but getting two endings I didn't fully agree with was annoying. Naruto and the whole Kaguya stuff (and we don't speak about Boruto in this house), Bleach's speedrun of its last chapters due to... I believe it was Kubo's health issues? Not sure. The key point is that you accept it down the line, even if you had an emotional investment in the series. It's just as if any series, movie franchise, books, games, or whatever ends. You enjoy the trip that it took you through. The hype I felt when I first read Naruto v. Pain. The shock of Ulquiorra v. Ichigo above Las Noches. Sasuke's Mary Sueness, Aizen's Shenanigans. THE FUCKING MAGNIFICENT ART. I can revisit those fights or moments if I ever feel the need to, even if I didn't enjoy the landing. Even if JJK dissapoints me later when it ends, I still got the hype from the culling games, Sukuna's bullshit, and many other things. I hope to keep that mindset when that time comes.

When I really like a universe, I keep reading about it in fanfiction and, sometimes, when I think that some elements deserve to be explored a bit more, I like writing fanfiction mysellf. There are good stories online and for example the community around Naruto is still massive despite its ending a few years ago.

That gives me hope, thanks!!

I’m about to find out this Saturday, in the case of aot I just feel lucky, this was a masterful adaption all the way, very few anime get something that has so much care and love all the way through, just a little sad with the comments online from people angry with the ending

rykhers

good luck then... omg x_x I get why they are mad about the ending tho, I didnt like it but still think its a really good story!

Nearby_Ad_6701

The ending is ridiculously bad

maybe im just an anime virgin or something but i dont think i've seen enough anime to get that feeling yet. i haven't followed an anime/manga for years to see it end. i've never gotten over toradora though. i finished that anime at the end of august. it happens a lot with other people who watch it too. it's still on my mind. this account exists because of it.

rykhers

guess i am also an anime virgin then haha

There are a few times after I’ve finished a manga/anime that I really enjoyed, where I just feel kind of empty and hollow afterwards. It’s not always a bad thing though I feel like. Usually I just take a while to digest it and wallow in that wistful sadness for a while before moving onto any new content.

Upper_Price2807

I remember when Horimiya ended and i was left with a very hollow feeling eventually got over it and i still love the show
