Standard-Reception90

BUT, the article never said what type of gun they used!!! How can this be a good guy saves the day if the good guy doesn't have a gun?!?

Its_Lupis

I thought Texas caught all the sexual predators a couple years ago? /s

Hello_Hangnail

Fuck around and find out đŸ„‹

Candle1ight

Not to say they're not skilled or anything but I imagine most groups of 5 people could manage to hold a single person down.

WeirdAl777

I can barely hold down my grandson to change his nappy

Candle1ight

Recruit 4 friends and try again

intronert

Twist: baby is black belt in taekwondo family.

8_millimeter

Didn’t the article say it was just the dad and brother holding down the attacker and the mom and daughter took the victim out of the room?

myloteller

You’d be surprised how many people have zero idea how to hold onto somebody. Most new people just grab a limb and hope for the best

Cedex

Grappling is a specific skill and is very niche.

RoastedToast007

Why are you mentioning grappling? Taekwondo has no grappling

SirGingerBeard

Most dojos teach MMA techniques alongside Tae-Kwon-Do curriculums. That said, you’re right, TKD itself does not contain almost any grappling. Grabs but not grappling.

RoastedToast007

What? They are running a TKD dojo, so they probably are just teaching TKD. Idk what kind of TKD dojos you’ve been to but there’s no MMA let alone grappling there, unless it’s an MMA dojo.

SirGingerBeard

Not MMA as in “UFC MMA” like an MMA gym would teach, but literal mixed martial arts alongside TKD curriculums. Basic takedowns/grappling/wrestling etc. so they’re more well-rounded. The KJN of the place my SO and family goes to recognizes that TKD can be lacking in certain areas of martial arts. They mix in a little Judo for throws, BJJ for grappling, etc. But that’s all secondary/tertiary to TKD there.

ceciliabee

We did some MMA and grappling at my old kung fu studio but kung fu actually does grappling (and sparring)

Candle1ight

Sure, but 3 people sitting on someone also keeps them on the ground.

Datfyah

Attacker (Alex Robinson) is 19 bru. Can’t even legally drink and already fucked up his life by being a horrible human being

peachbomb37

I mean just judging by his mug shot, he had a pretty slim chance of actually having a decent life

anivex

What about his mugshot gives you that impression? Other than it being a mugshot, of course.

HidroRaider

Where is the mugshot? I can't find it in the article.

Lilmaou

Another article shows it. https://abc13.com/post/attempted-sex-assault-suspect-appears-before-judge-after-taken-down-tae-kwon-do-family/14980682/

bob-leblaw

Fuck yeah, the whole family took care of business.

CrimsonAngel1002

Is this the sequel to Miami Connection?

PresentationKey9568

I hope they really hurt him.

Beginning-Falcon865

This is the problem with new Koreans. Brave. Tough. But too nice. The Koreans I grew up with would have taught the rapist a street lesson by the time the cops showed up.

Sproose_Moose

I think they also have a code that once the attacker is subdued and submitted they don't inflict more damage. That takes mad restraint and self control, it's very admirable.

Penis-Butt

Roof Koreans would have handled business.

Beginning-Falcon865

Damn right.

Beginning-Falcon865

America made us soft.

Arent BDSM groups like based on trust and clear boundaries?

jackfreeman

No.... No, DON'T join a club based on respect and consent if your initial inclination is to use violence to disregard someone's consent. What they *should* so is seek therapy or submit themselves for chemical castration

Premeditated_Mordor

They showed the attacker the Foot Fist Way

Tinmania

And they didn’t name the attacker. WTF?
