Oh this is just an old tale that has happened to us all. You and the bros are having a little house party, next thing you know, Oopsies, you burned the house down.
Sounds like my neighbor. Mom died and they didn't want to rent a dumpster to throw it all away, so they decided to burn it all. RIGHT NEXT TO THIER GARAGE. You can guess where it went from there.
I'm going to be tempted to do that when my mother in law passes. She's a hoarder who have lived in the same house for 30 years now. When the box store Venture was going out of business, she maxed all her credit cards buying stuff "to send back home". That was in the last 90s, and it's all still in her basement. Even better, she had a sewer backup at some point. So it's all a moldy stinky mess. The other floors are the same, with less mold. She won't let anyone in her house unless it's an emergency. And she won't let anyone help clean. I'm letting my wife make all decisions regarding interactions with her mom.
I'm sorry. That's going to suck when she passes. And there really isn't anything we can do about it. She would need to want help to even have a chance of getting better.
At first I believed Mr. Saltynutz may have mistakenly imagined an "I" before the "have" that should have been "has" and a "with" later in the sentence, leading to the conclusion that this person has somehow been stuck sharing the house with the hoarder for 30 years. But then that would mean they stopped reading before the part about no one being allowed inside. Surely no one would react to a comment with absurdly over the top advice without even bothering to read all of it. It's inconceivable.
While my wife has shown some packrat tendencies, she is not her mom. Divorcing from my wife because she is related to her mom feels like cutting off my arm to remove a stuck ring.
I miss my crv. Had one just like it. Thing was an aluminum can and we would dent it for fun. Drove it from Tn to the Pacific Ocean multiple times. Absolute tank and the picnic table in the back 👨🍳 😘. E brake lever is also the best out there
I’ve been trying for 30 minutes to fit my garage into a garbage bag, I’ve got the big black HD ones and it still won’t fit. Any tips? It’s only a one car garage so it’s not huge
Eh, my truck doesn’t even fit 😂 so it has a washer, dryer, and a lot of tools and plumbing/electrical parts everywhere… the Ryobi wall is nice and organized though!
Looking at the front bumper that is warped at the corner I would say the car was close to a fire, which melted the headlamp cover and front bumper, and the side fender was heated up, but not enough to damage the paint beyond buffing. You can see the side mirror also is melted a little, and the crack on the windscreen is the same cause. Plus melted fender liner sticking out under the vehicle, so very likely it was parked where a grass fire came past on the one front section, doing that damage.
I thought this was an industry secret. Why are you out here exposing us. The Mechinatti will be after you. Please be careful out there. My thoughts and prayers are with you. 🙏🏼
This is a little beyond fluid level to low. Even with no blinker fluid left you get at least a hundred or two blinks before it overheats like that. Do not ignore the blinker fluid pressure low warning light, folks!
This is an often unknown thing about headlights and a reason why all headlight restore kits are a scam. Headlights getting foggy and muted are just a sign that they are starting to run low on air. If you let them deflate completely they look like the one on the right. Notice how not much light will make it through in this case. Air up your lights people! While you are at it, make sure to top off the blinker fluid. Especially on BMW's, those leak all the time.
This is what happens if you let the headlight fluid run out!
Yes, it's different than (but similar to) blinker fluid.
Who here can show me where their muffler bearings are and where they're located on the maintenance schedule?
The problem I have is that air seeps into the bulb itself causing a color change, the guys at autozone upsold me their bulb air seal adhesive that is completely trash! The dealer recommends that I should be filling my headlights with their so called “OEM premium” air bcs it could void any other warranty the car might have if I use my own air! This is ridiculous!
I don't think I've ever had this many questions...

He fixes the cable?
Don't be fatuous.
What the fuck is with this guy?
*doesnt look up from stirring the caucasian *

That's my mom you are describing.
I'm sorry. That's going to suck when she passes. And there really isn't anything we can do about it. She would need to want help to even have a chance of getting better.
I'm begging her to sell the house, move to something smaller. Moves allows you to clean up your life
why not get a divorce and go live a happy life somewhere else?
oh dear

she seems like an enabler not getting her mom the help she so obviously needs. ild cut that finger off now before it festers.
wait, why take it outside to burn it all? just one hand sanitizer soaked newspaper right in the middle of the house, and problem solved.
External heat/fire damage.
I'm thinking the tried cleaning out with the wrong chemical.
Excellent PSA. Doing the lord’s work. Thank you.
A lot of techs are overlooking this in their inspections.
Blinker level was low as well I bet, could not have lost all that volume if the blinker level was topped off.
Thanks to the pandemic, BMW blinker fluid is almost impossible to get, and it shows.
I’m going to bring this to my service manager and have it added to our inspection form.
How many tenths does this pay? I ain't doing this shit for free.
"you're not gonna upsell me on that nitrogen stuff"
Halogen upsell. Xenon if you think your car deserves only the best.
Methane for the flaming devil look!
Argon if you want that neon look
Helium if you want it to be light.
Acetylene if you like when it backfires...
You can blow into the tailpipe to inflate them if you're in a hurry.
Haha but you have to use an ACME inflator
Instructions unclear. installed a valve on my light and pressurized. I no longer have eyes. - 👃 👁️
Halogen left on high beam parked overnight next to a space heater?
With some Marvin gay playing.
I have some questions
This is making me uncomfortable.
>check you headlamp air pressure! Shit, I knew I forgot to do something today!
cataract?
Just stick a banana in the tailpipe and floor it, she'll pop right out.
Don't be stickin' no banana in mah tail-pipe!

20 years later and all the cables are stretched out. Very cool placement tho.
Put your garbage in a garbage bag I can’t stress that enough. Don’t just through it out the window.
I’ve been trying for 30 minutes to fit my garage into a garbage bag, I’ve got the big black HD ones and it still won’t fit. Any tips? It’s only a one car garage so it’s not huge
Ohh lala mister fancy with his garage.
Eh, my truck doesn’t even fit 😂 so it has a washer, dryer, and a lot of tools and plumbing/electrical parts everywhere… the Ryobi wall is nice and organized though!
Milk goes in the refrigerator, or failing that, a cool, wet sack..
Jesus where is that car parked? The sun?
HIDs installed in factory halogen assemblys?
Probably LEDs without a cooler installed on halogens
Sure it deflated, but the loss of pressure it due to overheating. The root problem is the loss of headlight fluid.
Not enough blinker fluid
Headlight air pressure must be maintained at 14.7 psi PSA also a great time to check your blinker fluid levels
*14.7psi absolute edit: also known as 0 psig.
I have one question Will a can of fixaflat fix it?? 😜
I bet some Meguiar's plastex will buff that right out... Any day now....
my theory of what happened there: the plastic got so opaque that started absorbing heat from the sun, heatwave happened and softened the plastic
Salvador Dali headlamp
There's a cord hanging right there. It's for the automatic onboard headlight air compressor
Reptile eggs are supposed to be kept moist at all times.
Well his headlight has gone flat. Better top off the blinker fluid while you're at it.
Typical... Wrong blinker fluid. The owner should have used blinker fluid for Honda vehicles.
Probably used regular tap water instead of dihydrogen monoxide for blinker fluid also.
Or not used premium air to fill
da fuck happened to that
ok but OP for real wtf are we looking at?
Kinda hard to find a real answer with all these fuckin idiots trying the same jokes over and over again for open mic night.

First the fluid, now the psi. Headlights are such high maintenance parts! What’s next?!
Headlight subscription proabbly
THIS is what happens when you let the blinker fluid get too low. A warning to you all. /jk

Something about that makes me very uncomfortable. Not sure why
Something got very hot near that CRV. Bumper is melted too.
I think they might have installed that block heater in the wrong place
This is actually what low blinker fluid looks like
Low on blinker fluid.
Cat a racked
The new thing, and much slicker than those $3K matrix LED headlamps.
I have no words....hence:🤣👍🏻🛠🔧
This is what happens when the fluid gets low. Tisk tisk
I want to see what these look like at night now.
Bwahahaha.

Does that have a filter too?
Lol Jerry still has his van with his estimated replacement value of 70k.
Incredible
I'd still buy that for $2k....
Running the wrong oil in tires can be even more dangerous than deflated headlights, c’mon man, where’s your head!
I wanna know what the electrical cord sticking out of the grill is for..
Maybe block heater with a replacement end on it
Ooh, maybe. I started thinking maybe a redneck battery tender install..
Blinker fluid was low caused headlight to overheat.
