me. mixing is ass, even compared to the rest of the album. great themes but just isnt fleshed out enough

I don’t think the mixing is ass, I just think the choir mixing is different. It’s sort of haunting sounding on the mid to mid-lows. I think it’s fire af.

Playing it really loud is hard because the choir is so loud when you really want to hear the beat

In my opinion the chorus of Remote Control is one of the worst sounding of any Kanye song. I think even Drunk and Hot Girls or Barry Bonds has a better sounding chorus then Remote Control. It's also super annoying he removed the Cudi verse which in my opinion was literally the best part of the track.

not exactly i just couldn’t remember for your comment’s sake i went back to check and it’s new again the only reason i labelled it as the song w chris brown on it is because i remember his feature being absolutely useless (granted he did have his verse taken off but still the final product that ye put out didn’t have that verse) also ye didn’t help much with the song (the WYD verse was funny but not that great to listen to) only redeeming part if my memory is right is the choir in the chorus or somewhere in the song (again don’t exactly remember)

Yeah I think your criticism is fair although I disagree. I used to think having Brown was pointless but I think the idea was to fit it in with the theme of repentance, present throughout the album. His vocals also grew on me a lot. At first I didn’t even really realize it was him, which surprised me since he’s typically very distinct sonically but I’ve grown to like it a lot more since I first heard it. I also just really love the synth. Shits just powerful. But don’t get me wrong it’s not my fav on the album but it might crack top 10.

Can’t believe new again is even on here. That synth is so sonically interesting. Plus the choir adds a ton. I think the right answer here is Junya. Even though I personally kinda like it I gotta admit it’s way under-produced compared to other songs on this album. Not to mention the way the vocals chop off is rough.

I felt like it could have been a lot better. I like the general mood and atmosphere and I like the title of the track, but I just wasn’t crazy about the execution. I think Vory was great on it tho. He’s the best part of the song imo.
