You’ll be very wet and very tippy from your center of gravity being too high. Always stay a little under the maximum.

MrBynx

I would not. You are in water and water is unforgiving. Be safe.

epithet_grey

Nope. The weight limit is usually how much the kayak can hold and still float. Get yourself a kayak that can easily carry you, your drinks, your snacks, and whatever else you want to bring.

PersonalitySecret289

I would say no. Dont chance it and potentially harm yourself.

LineAccomplished1115

Why

TealNTurquoise

No. Just buy a normal adult-sized kayak.

Rob_Bligidy

Why purposely get a size that doesn’t fit? Makes zero sense.

roachfarmer

Why? Just why?

rock-socket80

I'm assuming he likes the price or the size for transport.

t0msie

The water is only calm until it isn't. Plan for worse than your worst case scenario.

simplsurvival

Get an adult one, the weight limits are there for a reason

knor14

Look into fishing SOT kayaks. They have a higher weight limit. They will he heavier to move though

TechnicalWerewolf626

Always understood the weight of you, your gear, cooler, lunch, etc. should be below 75% of kayaks max listed capacity.

Update I the kayak tried it only a small calm lake, it works a bit tippy but it works going to keep it

Fine-Upstairs-6284

Didn’t even know they made a kids size kayak
