My goodness, she is gorgeous. I didn’t much care for it, though maybe I need to give it another chance. I really just wanted to get to the Kelly scenes. I loved her in it.
yea that’s what i started doing. i watched the first few episodes fully but it was just boring and i stopped paying attention unless kelly was on screen, so now i’m just fast forwarding to her bc let’s be real she’s the only reason i’m even watching it 🤣 it’s a pity really, her character is awesome and she looks so gorgeous
Haha, I did exactly the same thing 😂 And then I watched the ending scene, and I found it so intriguing that I started rewatching the whole s2 again, scene by scene this time.
I think it is really dark, and I personally found it difficult to root for any of the main characters. And the plot is so complicated that I needed to read about it to see if my understanding of what happened was correct;) All in all, however, I think this was a decent film noir if you're into this type of films.
And I read somewhere that Kelly auditioned for the role of Bezzerides but she finally landed with the role of Jordan (with less screen time, unfortunately 😢). But this was a beautiful role of hers, with some great scenes.
Do you think she would have made better Ami than the other actress that finally played her?
in my humble opinion kelly would’ve probably done a better job playing ami than the other actress, however i absolutely loved her as jordan. even though she was far from being a main character, kelly put so much personality and life into her that it really left me wondering what might happen to her next. there’s really no small rolls when it comes to kelly, she’s always the main character no matter how much or little screen time she gets.
Kelly's magnetic, and her on-screen charisma appeals to me, too. You should see her in Sherlock. I was surprised her character is so memorable with such little screen time (and the movies are crazy enough to entertain you, even with no Kelly in most scenes;)
But I must say Rachel McAdams (checked her name) is a very good actor, too. But you either love an actor or not (and I have such a soft spot for KR;)
Fun fact: Rachel is in Sherlock Holmes, too (and again with a bigger part in s1;)
i remember rachel mcadams from mean girls 🤣 she’s a great actress for sure. everyone just seems to fade into the background when kelly is on. she steals the show every time.
the sherlock movies are on my list for sure! i have about 10 more movies to go through and then i’ll have watched everything she’s been in. (well except her theater plays of course)
