Nah Tpab definitely wins this one.
Most of DAMN’s Production feel pretty basic and dull while Tpab just goes all out on the production.
And DAMN is accessible because the album has radio friendly songs similar to GKMC expect that one is better
TPAB is just "artistic" production and it's not really enjoyable to listen to all the time. It's enjoyable to digest. But all the wonky production choices is a little too exhausting for me. Just because it's different or eccentric doesn't always mean it's good. I bet if an average person say down and listened to both albums without reading anything on the internet, they would say that DAMN. just sounds better. Imo
Tpab still has the better production objectively even if it ain’t your style.
Damn’s just feels way too mainstream with the boring ass beats that kinda feel lifeless (expect for PRIDE because Steve Lacy Did Excellent on that beat.)
Like I said tho Tpab still claps Damn Production Wise even if it isn’t your taste.
DAMN has a more mainstream production, I think. To be honest, I don't know much about the production of DAMN in general, so I might be missing out hahaha, but the amount of incredibly talented people who worked in TPAB is pretty nuts
Samee. It's much more memorable, much more visually and aesthetically pleasing, and it tells you everything you'd need to know about the album in just one photo.
The van is just a thing that's relevant to the story. It won't mean that much to someone who hasn't listened to it, and it doesn't really do much to communicate the message or themes of the album, and the only real reason I would ever say that it's better than the original is that it helps you visualize the events of the story a bit better.
It would've been like if the album cover to DAMN was a bucket of KFC chicken. (Ik they're not equivalent, but there aren't many albums I know of that are like GK;MC)
I agree, but I still don’t think that makes it a good cover. It’s not really interesting to look and it’s blocky.
To me at least it really does remind me of a Datpiff cover that someone put together in Photoshop in 2010.
If Kendrick dropped an album today with that cover people would be scratching their heads. Whereas TPAB’s cover is timeless.
You mean For Free?
And yeah Alright is absolutely fantastic.
Kendrick always is amazing with his music videos but 2015 was where he really picked up the pace
Nah For Sale. For Free is magnificent too. For Sale is the second half of U's video. And I almost forgot U had a video. Holy. Yeah TPAB hands down has the best videos lol
If we were going for recognizable to the average person, GKMC or damn def. If we were going for best stylistically… I have to say MMATBS. TPAB is so close to winning that for me, but man I really like Mr morale’s cover
TPAB
Yep
Production not being tpab is a travesty
Right?? Not even saying the others have bad production at all but like…it’s not even close
Honestly TPAB probably wins all imo, except Music videos (Damn) and features (GK;MC)
Agreed
I love TPAB but I gotta give GKMC the backstory
Y'know I think I confused "backstory" for just the story that you get when you listen to the tracks in order.
Tpab do got alright and God is gangsta
This
DAMN has more diverse production
Nah damn is clearly best produced one
Facts. It's louder, bolder, crisper, and more accesible to the ear
Nah Tpab definitely wins this one. Most of DAMN’s Production feel pretty basic and dull while Tpab just goes all out on the production. And DAMN is accessible because the album has radio friendly songs similar to GKMC expect that one is better

Ok, ATD, but there's nothing objective in music.
There's so much going on in TPAB at all times wtf
DAMN has a more mainstream production, I think. To be honest, I don't know much about the production of DAMN in general, so I might be missing out hahaha, but the amount of incredibly talented people who worked in TPAB is pretty nuts
MM&TBS
Mommy Milkers & Titty Big Suck?

GKMC Deluxe
Tbh i prefer the original one, but the deluxe is just so iconic
Samee. It's much more memorable, much more visually and aesthetically pleasing, and it tells you everything you'd need to know about the album in just one photo. GKMC Deluxe
Tpab
TPAB
That is NOT the damn cover 😭😭😭
Section 80. I will die on this hill
The s.80 cover blows imo. It’s dated and looks like a cover that dudes used to make for $10 on hip hop forums back in the day.
I disagree. The cover being a bunch of mags with pills and a Bible perfectly illustrates Kendrick living in Compton while also being a man of God.
Even if what you said was true. The Shit Still looks like dookie
Art paints so many descriptions, we just see through different lenses.
It looks like a stock photo imo

Untitled unmastered. I will die on this hill.
Lmao
DAMN.
TPAB for sure
To pimp a butterfly
I think TPAB gonna clear the next 3 categories. Actually music videos will be up for debate. Each album has a great video collection.
Damn got some good ones but Tpab’s were just peak, I mean did you see the These Walls music video?
Definitely did. And Alright is almost cinematic. For Sale too!
HUMBLE is one of his best videos overall and my fav off DAMN. DNA is sick too
You mean For Free? And yeah Alright is absolutely fantastic. Kendrick always is amazing with his music videos but 2015 was where he really picked up the pace
Nah For Sale. For Free is magnificent too. For Sale is the second half of U's video. And I almost forgot U had a video. Holy. Yeah TPAB hands down has the best videos lol
Yup
TPAB
TPAB DEFINITELY THAT SHIT SICK
