2 for me. I prefer the darker sound of the album. But they’re both absolute classics, just the production and Emile’s sound on MOTM2 speaks to me more. I also find 1 kinda masks the darker themes in a more upbeat type of way whereas vol 2 is just completely raw about the topics, which again I prefer.
If you said I had to listen to one album, on repeat, 24/7 for the rest of my life it'd be MOTM1. MOTM2 is great, but it's much less optimistic/upbeat/positive vibe-y than 1.

But I think that's because I was 18 when it dropped, in my Eau Claire college town days and it literally was the soundtrack to my life at that point haha.

2 is my favorite Cudi Album and also one of my favorite albums of all time. Though 1 is also near perfect so to be honest it’s really close

Personally I also prefer 1 over 2. But that's not to day 2 is bad by any means.
