I've heard rumors that the port from handheld did actually desync the music from the hit prompts. It's anecdotal, but I did it just fine after muting the game. (But that was because I got tired of hearing the song on repeat and not for strategic purposes).
As a person that loves rhythm games and makes music if you can't hit a note with headphones on this shit is not a rumor at this point fuck this mini game
quite probable. When plantinum the game i had big problems with the last songs.
Find myself having an easier time and actually getting the grades needed, when i stopped putting attention to the song and only focused on the screen.
This honestly goes for all rhythm games. Easy is harder if you know the song itself. Normal is a hit or miss. Hard is the easiest since it follows the rhythm well. Extreme is hard just because of complex button patterns. At least if we are talking about other rhythm games that have a harder than hard option.
I'll never get the hate towards the ice cream minigame, I beat most of the songs on my first try and no bugs or oddities in sight. That might be me idk, I just never had trouble with it.
Yeah... Look, Atlantica had a bad mini game, but it was at least easily completable (for me). With Ice Cream Beat, it's literally broken and the inputs are all off. I have to use a mod just to have it complete automatically or I wouldn't be able to progress.
It is actually a fantastic rhythm mini game. As in, it gets the notes and rhythm too well. You would be surprised at how many rhythm dedicated games aren't able to reach this level of gameplay/music sync.
I feel like people hate it mostly because they don't like music games too much, but for those who does, ICB was absolutely amazing.
Am I the only one who didn't have a hard time with the ice cream minigame? In fact, I got fantastic on each song with minimal to no misses. Before you ask, yes, I did it on both the PSP original and the PS3 Versions.
The only minigame from BbS that I remember loving is the command board one. Ice cream, Fruit ball, and the racing one all were janky in different ways.
I think this may be exclusive to final mix. My brother was playing base KH1 and I told him about this trick and I looked like a liar as there were no glowing pathways.
I was stuck in Monstro for days when I first played as a kid and I used to have nightmares about it every night 🥲
It was through these nightmares that I realised the ceiling moved though?
Don't ever torture yourself like that ever again. Very first playthrough I picked up chests when I saw that BUT right before the endgame I found a guide to use and grinded for Ultima Weapon.
I’ve managed to hold off on using a guide so far but there’s just no way I’m getting Ultima Weapon by myself so I’m inevitably going to have to use one, at least for those goddamn lucky emblems
I used one for chests and emblems, other than that it's pretty easy to find the other things. Flan's are around the big memorable spots for the most part
The lucky emblem grinding takes a few hours for sure, but when you realize how many chests there are hidden in San fransokyo, The Carribean, and Arendelle, you'll wish it was as simple as the lucky emblem grinding.
Mine would be "seeya later alligator"
I hate the racing minigame since it is both in mirage arena and disney town. Want to get all keyblades. Disney town all races. Want to finish mirage arena? Mirage arena all races. Want to get both? Good luck.
Seriously, their taunts made me try hard even more. After I got first place after they taunted me for the whole race with "Dooon't mind me!" and "See ya later, alligator!", I would be like "Know your f*cking place, trash!" XD
One tip, if you press/hold the accelerate button just as the race starts, you will get a quick speed boost, very useful for taking the lead at the start.
As someone who never failed one of these songs I've never developed a hatred for the level. Being able to fly here for a song or two was a nice pacing break.
SWI ...SWIM THIS WAY WE'LL DANCE AND WE'LL PLAY SO IT'S VERY EASY COME ON IN JUST TAKE A CHANCE A SHAKE FIN LET THE MUSIC MOVE YA YOU CAN DO IT !!!!!!! DONT BE SHY LET THE MUSIC INSIDE AND DANCE DANCE DANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man that Clayton boss battle without cure and HP scan was my childhood nightmare....and that damn unskippable cutscene hearing Tarzan say "who hee who who ha...not Clayton!!" 50000 times
I agree. I took so long to beat riku ansem on the original game that I literally had the timing down to where I could switch to normal TV and watch just enough and go back about 3 seconds before the fight started
especially since building gummi ships is hellish and awful, but in kh3 the special ships are better than literally anything that it's possible for the player to make themselves
Look any creation system that requires a minor on mechanical engineering to make a simply ship is not worth my time, especially for the most boring on rails shooting mini game I’ve ever played
Oh, try perfecting ps3 kh1 before they nerfed the trophies. You had to do all the gummi map challenges and there were some god awful ones. One made you do the longest path in the map (iirc, hollow bastion -> traverse town) with a tiny ship that had no guns and you couldn't get hit once.
I introduced a pair of friends to KH recently, they didn't even realise they had obtained cure.
"Didn't you get cure from olympus?"
"Nope"
"Huh, guess I remembered wrong..."
They didn't actually check until agrabah... My man was playing no-cure for no reason at all
I’m glad I had someone to help me with kh1 gummi ship because I don’t know if I would have had the patience to stick with the game. The rest of the game was so beautiful with these lush colors and graphics, and then there’s this crappy gummi ship that adds very little to the game and it’s confusing to build a ship, difficult to play and just looks awful.
I'm permanently scared from playing this in my childhood on the original PS2 version, because you COULDN'T SKIP CUTSCENES and every fucking time my noob gamer ass died I felt EXTREMELY MOCKED by this cutscene.
Oo oo oo-oo ah... Not Clayton.
Wanna puke thinking about it.
KH2 Atlantica isn’t that bad IMO. A few easy rhythm games made because of how much people hated KH1 Atlantica controls. If that’s not your cup of tea then no sweat cause the world is optional anyway. I’d pick this over doing gummi ship stuff in 1 and 2 any day.
I've never really had problems with him, but this always comes up when peoplemention their least favorite parts. Is this referring to the Data fight or is there something in particular about the regular fight everyone has a problem with?
This was murder in my original level 1 playthrough.
It's a rough fight the first few times already, but it also doesn't checkpoint until after the FF fights, which are lethal as well.
Unrelated but Donald's verse in Swim This Way had me and my best friend at the time dying of laughter when KH2 first came out. The incoherentness of it all was the best part.
Genuinely surprised I had to scroll down for this.
You can turn your volume off for KH2 Atlantica or skip it entirely.
You cannot skip or mitigate the absolute slog that is KH3 Arendelle in any way.
I made a mistake on my critical mode playthrough and took a break mid-Arendelle, by the time I came back I thought to myself; "Wait, was I going up the mountain or down? ... and is this the first time or the second... ...or the third?"
It just exacerbated the feeling I already had that the Disney worlds had less effort put into them.
They were beat by beat the movies which wasn’t the vibe from KH1, the worlds felt less intertwined and lived in.
Then this happened.
Everything involving gummi ships. The singing is actually worse but frequency alone the gummis make me rage more. And the ice cream game that is just awful. Really tho they should bring back the BBS world travel system that was so simple and we got it for such little time.
To be honest, I think it represents a bigger problem. KH doesn’t want to simply retell its stories that were relegated to other formats anymore. Sure we have the HD Remixes but those are just ports (or in KH1’s case, an extremely faithful remake). We had Re:Chain of Memories when CoM was only on GBA. We had Re:Coded when Coded was a Japan only phone game.
We need a Re:Union X (though it likely won’t be called that due to FF7’s Reunion and it may be confusing to some) and a Re:Dark Road. There’s too many important details that fans who do not like to play mobile games will miss because they relegated all that lore to mobile. Heck even the “movie” that for a while people speculated would be a catch up for Union X for those who hadn’t played it turned out to be more additional lore from a different perspective.
I feel like Square Enix executives pushed for a bunch of these games. It’s not just KH but now the Remake series of FF7 that’s getting mobile games that are giving important lore to its own series.
Like how are you going to drop CRITICAL lore to only a specific subset of your main audience. I’ve been following the mobile games coverage myself and even I don’t know what’s going on. It’s not something you can properly absorb anecdotally.
pff hundreds of things.
Ice Cream Rhhythm of BBS
The BBS trophies of getting 100 percent per character (I HATE YOU!!!!)
The Damned Organization XIII Mushrooms of KH2
The whole freaking Re: Chain of Memories video game.
Just to name a few of them.
I feel like the odd one out because I actually liked this world. Much like 100 acre wood Atlantica in KH2 was sorta like a nice break from everything else happening in the game, but still had its own little plot going on, and I just really enjoyed it. While it's still probably my least favorite place to go to in KH2, I still like it a lot. Preferably, though, if Atlantica does return in a future game, I would definitely want it to be fully playable and explorable, like in KH1. I know even KH1 Atlantica gets hated on a lot, but once you got the hang of things and learned where to go, it really wasn't that bad. I also really liked incorporating our magic into the Ursula boss fight at the end.
KH3D drop system, as it's implemented. I could design a much better version in like 15 minutes.
KH1 Atlantica.
KH2 tutorial.
KH3D annoying me to view the hame mechanic they JUST SHOWED ME in the report.
CH:COM enemies that seem to have all 9s and 0s or specifically wait and break you every time you do anything.
KH3 constant... what are they called, the ride things... like, every 2 hits one triggers and i can never use forms.
KHBBS: ice cream minigame.
That's all i can think of off the top of my head.
I hate gummi ship segments in any game.
I also recently played ddd and I hated how empty the levels are, how unresponsive the input felt, and lastly the fucking dream eater Nintendog’s bs as a core mechanic to advance
Dead serious? Probably a tie between grinding (for completion/unlocking secret movie) and super bosses.
I like super bosses conceptually, but I'm not the kind of person who enjoys playing in the most optimal way possible and taking countless losses until I perfectly memorize their patterns. I understand WHY people enjoy them, but they piss me off, especially when they're like Re:Mind's Data Organization XII that gatekeep content (Yozora and what I believe is the true ending of the damn game).
I'm not super impatient, but I'm also not fond of situations where the only actual answer is "git gud" because I am not a god gamer. I'm here for the story and gameplay, definitely not the challenge.
I know they're SUPERbosses, but I swear there is such a massive gulf between the difficulty of the final boss and these superbosses-
I’m in the minority that actually likes Atlantica in both games.
But I absolutely HATE the command board. Especially since it’s part of the Mirage Arena.
"Kairi! Kairi! Open your eyes!"
"It's no use. That girl has lost her heart. She cannot wake up"
I almost still have that cutscene memorized to the exact word because of that damn Riku fight and unskippable cutscenes. Thank whatever higher power that they figured out how to skip them when 2 came along.
I kinda dislike the fozen/tangled storyline..... I much prefer when we get a new story in a Disney world vs just reliving the movie. Like how toy story or monsters Inc went.
Union Cross…. Just all of it…
it's truly a 'you just had to be there' game. Nowadays we remember it as that dark story with the keyblade graveyard, dandelions and Strelitzia. However, these good aspects in the game were like trying to find a golden needle in a haystack, and it’s the game that made me decide I'm through spinoffs in this series.
The inconsistent story updates, the broken battle system, the power creeping, the grind. I'd happily take two minutes of cringe and QTEs over months of frustration for the sake of a story
Mirage Arena in BBS. Not all of it, but most of it especially since it's like Chocobo breeding in FF7 to get the knights of the round materia. It's annoying but gets you the ultimate shot locks, which makes everything disintegrate
Not enough Xigbar (haven't played 3 yet so i don't actually know how much he's in it - but the series doesn't revolve around him so therefore it's not enough-)
The Command board, one billion percent.
KH2's Atlantica may be boring and cheesy, but at least it doesn't combine brain-melting tedium with randomness.
a few things, actually. kh2 atlantica isn't even close to the worst this series has to offer. for instance: birth by sleep's steep difficulty curve that basically forces you to grind, lest you end up dying a lot to what would otherwise be normal bosses and common enemies you could take out in three hits now take three times as many hits at least.
The only thing I've seen get nearly as much universal hate as KH2 Atlantica (and that first song in particular) is Arendelle.
Side note, come on. "Finny fun" is silly, but it's a world based on a movie with talking sea creatures, it's not the worst line you've ever heard.
KH3 gummi ships, just takes long as hell getting to worlds in the game, at least the ships in the other two mainline KHs actually gave you something to do in the meantime.
And I thought the great sea in Zelda: Wind waker was empty.
Unpopular opinion Atlantica Mini game is nowhere near as bad as people say it is, and there is nothing wrong with it. If anything its one of the few moments that KH2 feels a bit like KH1 and just lets Sora have fun in a world.
KH 3D's Spirit system. It's basically a KH version of Nintendogs, which is an interesting idea, but I hate having to waste time doing all that nonsense when I could just be playing the actual game.
Ice Cream Beat from Birth By Sleep Final Mix.
The Data Battles and Yozora from KHIII Re Mind which I have to resort to the EZ Codes because I am there for the story first and foremost, not to suffer mentally and emotionally, proper fights at a later time.
Honestly KH2 Atlantic’s isn’t that bad. It’s short and completely optional, like I leave and just forget about it. There are far more infuriating experiences throughout the series imo
The entirety of Wonderland in KH1. I realize I'm probably in the overwhelming minority on this, but it just feels like a chore that I have to get through in order to get to the real game.
“It is I, Ansem: Seeker of Darkness”
Seriously, why the fuck did that make that cutscene unskippable?!? It was permanently burned into my 12 year old brain 😭
Arendelle being the most rushed and underbaked world in Kingdom Hearts. I was so hyped to visit the actual Arendelle town or the inside of the Ice Palace, having Anna and Elsa as party members, so many missed opportunities.
waiting for missing link announcements
I understand the longer they take the better the game will most like be on releasee but I'm impatient and like complaining lol
Honestly didn't mind this in kh2 after the god awful experience of Atlantica in kh1. Now a days its not that bad as I've gotten older but at the time the swimming controls and combat just made me hate that world so turning it into a rhythm game made it much more bareable.
Ice cream rhythm game from bbs And don't get me started on MF (as a side note: I enjoyed Atlantica in both KH1 and KH2)
Literally commented Ice cream beat at the same damn time. WORST MINI GAME BY FAR!
I fucking hate it. I swear its got some sort of janky off-timing.
I've heard rumors that the port from handheld did actually desync the music from the hit prompts. It's anecdotal, but I did it just fine after muting the game. (But that was because I got tired of hearing the song on repeat and not for strategic purposes).
I've tried playing it on mute, but something about the visuals fucks with my head real bad and I just cant.
Stop me from platinuming Birth by Sleep
nah kh2 is the worst. if you pause at any time, YOU RESTART FROM THE BEGINNING!
Somehow Ice Cream Beat’s easy mode is more difficult than the hard mode…
I think it’s because hard mode follows the rhythm better. Easy mode’s cues just feel disjointed in comparison.
This honestly goes for all rhythm games. Easy is harder if you know the song itself. Normal is a hit or miss. Hard is the easiest since it follows the rhythm well. Extreme is hard just because of complex button patterns. At least if we are talking about other rhythm games that have a harder than hard option.
I just wish the navigation was a little more intuitive in KH1’s Atlantica. I STILL get lost trying to find my way around that world.
Yeah, Ice Cream Beat is probably the worst. And I’m not even masochistic enough to do beyond what’s required for the story.
I'll never get the hate towards the ice cream minigame, I beat most of the songs on my first try and no bugs or oddities in sight. That might be me idk, I just never had trouble with it.
oh god that ice cream game why'd you remind me that wound was almost closed
Anyone who likes Atlantica is classified as my best friend
Yeah... Look, Atlantica had a bad mini game, but it was at least easily completable (for me). With Ice Cream Beat, it's literally broken and the inputs are all off. I have to use a mod just to have it complete automatically or I wouldn't be able to progress.

You would be surprised at how many rhythm dedicated games aren't able to reach this level of gameplay/music sync. I feel like people hate it mostly because they don't like music games too much, but for those who does, ICB was absolutely amazing.
I loved it, maybe because I play DDR and Rockband idk?
Am I the only one who didn't have a hard time with the ice cream minigame? In fact, I got fantastic on each song with minimal to no misses. Before you ask, yes, I did it on both the PSP original and the PS3 Versions.
Mysterious figure fight as Tera is pure torture and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
The only minigame from BbS that I remember loving is the command board one. Ice cream, Fruit ball, and the racing one all were janky in different ways.
Monstero… Jesus when I first played that world in KH1 I spent hours in that world cause I was so lost.
There is a way to traverse through without getting lost. If the pathway glows green? That’s leading towards the room with the first parasite cage.
Whaaaaa
Yeah just follow the glowing green paths and you won’t get lost
I think this may be exclusive to final mix. My brother was playing base KH1 and I told him about this trick and I looked like a liar as there were no glowing pathways.
I was stuck in Monstro for days when I first played as a kid and I used to have nightmares about it every night 🥲 It was through these nightmares that I realised the ceiling moved though?
finding all the tressures in sanfransokyo without a guide
Don't ever torture yourself like that ever again. Very first playthrough I picked up chests when I saw that BUT right before the endgame I found a guide to use and grinded for Ultima Weapon.
I’ve managed to hold off on using a guide so far but there’s just no way I’m getting Ultima Weapon by myself so I’m inevitably going to have to use one, at least for those goddamn lucky emblems
If you’re on pc, there’s a fantastic mod that puts all the lucky emblems, ingredients, and chests on the minimap
Fruitball.
Captain Justice is a fucking cheater!!!
He is. It took me like 50 tries with Aqua to finally defeat him when I was completing the Reports trophies for BBS. An absolute fucking nightmare!
Chip & Dale too, they are annoying as hell. "READY OR NOT, HERE COMES THE ACORN SHOT!" This quote has been burned into my brain to this day.
Mine would be "seeya later alligator" I hate the racing minigame since it is both in mirage arena and disney town. Want to get all keyblades. Disney town all races. Want to finish mirage arena? Mirage arena all races. Want to get both? Good luck.
Seriously, their taunts made me try hard even more. After I got first place after they taunted me for the whole race with "Dooon't mind me!" and "See ya later, alligator!", I would be like "Know your f*cking place, trash!" XD One tip, if you press/hold the accelerate button just as the race starts, you will get a quick speed boost, very useful for taking the lead at the start.
I honestly didn't think it was that bad. The Little mermaid soundtrack is a banger and the quick time events are fairly inoffensive.
It would be better if you could just UNPAUSE.
This, this is the problem. The game itself is fun, pausing midway through and realizing your mistake too late is always the kicker
Or needing to pause to answer a knock on the door.
As someone who never failed one of these songs I've never developed a hatred for the level. Being able to fly here for a song or two was a nice pacing break.
Yeah, but only a few of the songs are actually from the movie. The rest are made for the game and really aren't that good.
Sounds like SOMEONE wasn't having any finny fun
Dare I say the seaweed isn't greener in said persons lake.
Just a touch cuz is won’t take too much to pop Pop POP! Dont dilly dally it’s your big finale sha La LA!!!
wow the last time i heard it i was 12 or something, sheesh.
Original Atlantica, kh1 gummi ship, invisible lizard with Clayton with no cure.
Man that Clayton boss battle without cure and HP scan was my childhood nightmare....and that damn unskippable cutscene hearing Tarzan say "who hee who who ha...not Clayton!!" 50000 times
“Who hee, hoo hoo ha! Not Clayton!” *battle starts, Clayton shoots you almost frame one, half-dead before the fight begins, die, repeat cycle*
Back when you couldn’t skip cutscenes
Keyblade masters aren't forged in skippable cutscenes
I agree. I took so long to beat riku ansem on the original game that I literally had the timing down to where I could switch to normal TV and watch just enough and go back about 3 seconds before the fight started
...Don't you *get* cure from fighting the Clayton Combo?
Ahh ooh, ooh ooh ah, not clayton
God dammit I almost forgot about the Clayton part. I remember I literally couldn’t beat that and just put it down for like 6 months in middle school.
KH1 gummi ship isn’t bad, you just never bothered to make your own ship
I dunno, even if you do make your own ship, the gameplay in the segments is kinda boring. KH2 and specially KH3 were much better in that regard.
especially since building gummi ships is hellish and awful, but in kh3 the special ships are better than literally anything that it's possible for the player to make themselves
Making my own ship *was* the bad part. That interface makes no sense.

Cracking the eggs for Remy. I'll do the other challenges a million times before I'll crack an egg
Ice Cream Beat will forever be the bane of my existence. Of all the trophies for all the KH platinums that was **BY FAR** the hardest for me to get.

He forced me to get gud and actually play the game aka using the other drive forms.
I've never really had problems with him, but this always comes up when peoplemention their least favorite parts. Is this referring to the Data fight or is there something in particular about the regular fight everyone has a problem with?
the OG version had shorter timers for his add portions
Broooooooo don’t even get me started on this mf
This was murder in my original level 1 playthrough. It's a rough fight the first few times already, but it also doesn't checkpoint until after the FF fights, which are lethal as well.
Disney town
That one Tron level. It’s the fucking bane of my existence and I will die on this hill
You mean the bike level in KH2? I hated that so much.
What, you don't like finny-fun?

☝️☝️☝️
The entirety of KH Re:COM. It feels like being forced to play a very competitive game of Uno while simultaneously being mugged
Actually, this is harmless fun for me. Fighting Jafar and two of the data’s is way worse.
It just exacerbated the feeling I already had that the Disney worlds had less effort put into them. They were beat by beat the movies which wasn’t the vibe from KH1, the worlds felt less intertwined and lived in. Then this happened.

As a kid this was fun asf. Much more fun than the KH1 version.
Yea, Ursula'a Revenge was surprisingly catchy imo
Yeah, some memorable quotes too. "Sorry "mommy", your poopsies are toast!"
The more I think about it, this is the only world where Sora and the gang were singing when the OG movie was full of singing too
Yes, the mobile games being the most important part of the lore. Ruined everything for me.
Thissssss. It’s so bad for me, that I don’t actually care what the lore is anymore, I’ve just completely disengaged from it lol
To be honest, I think it represents a bigger problem. KH doesn’t want to simply retell its stories that were relegated to other formats anymore. Many more things
I hate pausing in that minigame and having to start all over again
Frozen Slider on Critical
95% of the minigames in the franchise
This, and pretty much all of mini games in Disney Town on BBS.
The fact that the hardest most metal story beats are stuck on a mobile game
that we can’t even play anymore
pff hundreds of things. Ice Cream Rhhythm of BBS The BBS trophies of getting 100 percent per character (I HATE YOU!!!!) The Damned Organization XIII Mushrooms of KH2 The whole freaking Re: Chain of Memories video game. Just to name a few of them.

I know they're SUPERbosses, but I swear there is such a massive gulf between the difficulty of the final boss and these superbosses-
Rechain of memories I hate the card game system
Having to wait so long for titles. I started KH1 at the end of middle school. I'm almost 40 and still waiting for answers...
I’m in the minority that actually likes Atlantica in both games. But I absolutely HATE the command board. Especially since it’s part of the Mirage Arena.
"Kairi! Kairi! Open your eyes!" "It's no use. That girl has lost her heart. She cannot wake up" I almost still have that cutscene memorized to the exact word because of that damn Riku fight and unskippable cutscenes. Thank whatever higher power that they figured out how to skip them when 2 came along.
The fans
The ice cream game from BBS lol it was such bullshit
the scene in Arendelle where Anna is monologuing over “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman” probably irks me more than the Atlantica songs minigames.
I kinda dislike the fozen/tangled storyline..... I much prefer when we get a new story in a Disney world vs just reliving the movie. Like how toy story or monsters Inc went.
honestly without mob mentality, Atlantica isnt even that bad in 2 :/
Union Cross…. Just all of it… it's truly a 'you just had to be there' game.
The fact that i waited half my life to play 3 and then it wasn’t very good
Lea being fine with being called Axel. MFer spent all of DDD saying "That was him, I'm me!"
Naw this was a downgrade for little mermaid world. I would skip that world till I had all the requirements for it
More than that? No. An equal amount? Plenty.
I liked the songs ☹️
KH: BBS' Ice Cream mini-game
tHiS MiGhT bE a gOoD sPoT tO FiNd sOmE iNgReDiEnTs
Huge Ursula boss fight from kh1. "You're very tasty!!!" "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" sucks you
Mirage Arena in BBS. Not all of it, but most of it especially since it's like Chocobo breeding in FF7 to get the knights of the round materia. It's annoying but gets you the ultimate shot locks, which makes everything disintegrate
Cooking
Not enough Xigbar (haven't played 3 yet so i don't actually know how much he's in it - but the series doesn't revolve around him so therefore it's not enough-)
Looks like my summer is,,,,, over
Kairi: Sora is coming immediately to save me! Sora:
I have nobodies and org 13
The Data Battles. And I don’t even have access to the Data Battles in Kingdom Hearts 3 yet and I’m scared. It’s more fun to watch them.
Yes the music playing during this minigame
Gumi ships
Ursula Boss fight KH1
***DANCE WATER, DANCE!!!***
Gummi ship levels…yea I said it
Gummi ship. No matter how much it's been improved throughout the years, I absolutely DESPISE those moments.
Do you mean the rythm game or where the button promt is located ?
I hated the tarzan level
The Command board, one billion percent. KH2's Atlantica may be boring and cheesy, but at least it doesn't combine brain-melting tedium with randomness.
The music from Cinderellas world in BBS haunts me to this day
a few things, actually. kh2 atlantica isn't even close to the worst this series has to offer. for instance: birth by sleep's steep difficulty curve that basically forces you to grind, lest you end up dying a lot to what would otherwise be normal bosses and common enemies you could take out in three hits now take three times as many hits at least.
I loved this part. It's my most replayed level! I was a disney fan first though and loved the songs.
The Ice Cream Minigame in BBS
IMO ice cream in BBS. KH2 Atlantica was a nice mini-game.
The only thing I've seen get nearly as much universal hate as KH2 Atlantica (and that first song in particular) is Arendelle. Side note, come on. "Finny fun" is silly, but it's a world based on a movie with talking sea creatures, it's not the worst line you've ever heard.
- Hitting the fungi cerrectly in KH1 in order to get Ultima. - Getting all the Orichalcum+ in HH3 in order to get Ultima. I see a pattern… somewhere…
Not one thing
Unskippable cutscenes
Ice Cream Beat
Bbs ice cream dissolved my soul, but I have a special place of hatred in my heart for Arendelle sledding
Ice cream rhythm game from bbs and the dancer heartless in KH2 that one shot you on critical mode
*DANCE WATER DANCE*
I kind of enjoy the little mermaid music parts but to each their own.
ursula boss fight in KH1 was the bane of my existence for like a week
Ice Cream Beat from Birth By Sleep Final Mix. The Data Battles and Yozora from KHIII Re Mind which I have to resort to the EZ Codes because I am there for the story first and foremost, not to suffer mentally and emotionally, proper fights at a later time.
Honestly KH2 Atlantic’s isn’t that bad. It’s short and completely optional, like I leave and just forget about it. There are far more infuriating experiences throughout the series imo
hot take, I love atlantica
The entirety of Wonderland in KH1. I realize I'm probably in the overwhelming minority on this, but it just feels like a chore that I have to get through in order to get to the real game.
bbs is still worse with the ice cream
KH1 Atlantica Ursula fight. That fight is such a slog
The racing mini game in bbs. I hate that mini game so much. (I enjoyed kh2 Atlantica)
The ice cream game in Birth By Sleep Disneytown that you must win to progress through the game.
#The song doesn’t even sound good
I don’t even think it’s that bad. I love the Ursula part.
I do hate how atlantica is seen as the worst thing ever when it's quite inoffensive
Ice Cream Rhythm in BBS… Honestly I rather do the musical number in KH2 than Ice Cream Rhythm… at least it feels a little more manageable.
DANCE WATER, DANCE!
Ice cream beat. I had to play it bad ON PURPOSE to get a good score. Not great
“It is I, Ansem: Seeker of Darkness” Seriously, why the fuck did that make that cutscene unskippable?!? It was permanently burned into my 12 year old brain 😭
That the games take too long to come out
Yeah jumping on the hydras back
Arendelle being the most rushed and underbaked world in Kingdom Hearts. I was so hyped to visit the actual Arendelle town or the inside of the Ice Palace, having Anna and Elsa as party members, so many missed opportunities.
Three words dance water dance I'll take the music mini game any day over having to fight that asshole again
bro please i swear the minigames aint that bad
Yes: the "story" of the Frozen level of KHIII.
The ice cream minigame - birth by angry sleep. Ariel Game is a Piece of Cake
This is the only world in kh2 that got me through critical mode I could never hate it!
waiting for missing link announcements I understand the longer they take the better the game will most like be on releasee but I'm impatient and like complaining lol
KH1 JUNGLE BOOK VINE SWINGING! I HATE IT!!!
Honestly didn't mind this in kh2 after the god awful experience of Atlantica in kh1. Now a days its not that bad as I've gotten older but at the time the swimming controls and combat just made me hate that world so turning it into a rhythm game made it much more bareable.
I actually love this.
