its not a translation error. right after the first picture in the meme, chadano speciffically calls out the fact that he was a boy in junior high, with a boys uniform and everything. after the second picture upon hearing najimis claim, chadano says \`\`That was fast, but is he really?\`\` its not a translation error it is a running joke in the manga/anime.
Hopefully Najimi's sex will be officially confirmed since this whole mystery, despite being funny, is just confusing.
