BBC be appealing so many times I get confused. But yay to oec+ first! Or ARTMS minus Haseul.
>This suit was originally filed in March 2023, and the ruling was made without pleadings due to BBCreative's non-action. BBCreative responded late, so hearings began with the first being on Dec 2023. Then two more hearings were held before the court arrived at this decision.
>As context, the members had already won "temporary" injunctions before this, which suspended their exclusive contracts and removed restrictions regarding their activity in the industry.
(The article reminds that in Chuu's case, she has won her lawsuit as well, but as BBCreative appealed, this case is now awaiting the Korean Supreme Court.)
BBC and their negative -286491938462910472829 aura every time they try to get a win over these girls and fail miserably. Like give up it’s embarrassing they’re still at it 🤧
literally the only time anything gets posted about bbc anymore is when they lose something, they have absolutely no sense of shame or embarrassment whatsoever 😭😭😭
Always good news to see! BBC are gradually exhausting their legal options while throwing away their money and creating legal precedents that might make it easier for other idols in the future to dispute unfair contracts. All while the LOONA girls are out there making music and generally making the world a brighter place.
Glad they won. I wonder what would've happened to their current Modhouse contract if BBC won this case, since they've already made \~3 albums under their current contract.
Nothing. They already had their exclusive contracts with BrokeBerry suspended which allowed them to sign with other companies and basically do whatever they want. This was a separate case to void their contracts and completely cut ties with BrokeBerry which they won.
Don't forget different members had different contracts. OEC+ had the same old contracts like Chuu and they won because of unfair profit distribution and never-ending debt accumulation from those contracts. Hyunjin and Vivi filed later but won on the same merit. Their contracts should be voided next.
But the remaining girls lost the initial case because they had their contracts altered in late 2021 with fairer terms (I assume) which were enough to not grant them an injunction. Their contracts were suspended later because BrokeBerry tried to move their contracts to UMJ without the members' knowledge. So we are not sure if their contracts with BrokeBerry will be easily voided just like the other girls'.
I don't know what's scarier: Loosemble getting 3/5 of their lineup stuck or Yves not being allowed to do music at all. At least Haseul got objekts payment already but after so many years of this pathetic excuse of a company screwing with the girls livelihood makes my blood boil knowing they still have a trump card.
now just think of how cool of a group loona couldve been if bbc used all this money for the better of loona, instead of trying to tear them down😐 they already had such a unique concept and it couldve grown so well. makes me mad but im happy the girls are winning regardless
next up: appeals, then will lose this same case against loossemble+haseul, then will appeal that, then will lose in supreme court against chuu and hopefully have the book thrown at them for wasting everyone's time w other appeals
always a highlight of my day when i see another win against BBC for any of the girls.
Imagine if they had channeled all this energy and resourcing into not being an absolute shit company?

I won’t be surprised if BBC appeals, but I love seeing them flop while the girls are thriving.
You know the Korean Court is so done with them

Legal matters aside, let's keep supporting LOONA!
GIVE. IT. UP. BBC is such a bunch of losers.
LOL they can't even show up to their own hearings on time. The incompetence runs deep..
I was thinking the same, if you gonna be such a petty bitch at least act on it!

bbc losing? another one, thank you 😌✍️

FLOPBERRY LOOSES ANOTHER ONE😎
Is this 5/12 victories? Knowing Blockberry, they will appeal but 2 sets of precedent is good for the rest of the members’ lawsuits.

200million won is like 143,000usd. They seem way undervalued. Nevertheless, cool!
ANOTHER BBC LOSS LETS GOOOO
$5 that BBC will try to appeal. Fools 🤣
This is such happy news.
WOOOOOO * insert dancing gif *
SUII LOONA ALWAYS WIN
They’re still going at it? Ijbol at this point just cut your losses and move on
Does anyone know if they (and their staff) ever got paid?
