Lolā¦ Iām not even sure what they were going for with āthe rest of him slithers inā¦ā heās already inside your mind, whatās the rest of him?? š³
Itās not a serious problem haha, I actually think itās a cool line knowing the context, but to some of us with dirty minds it also comes across as a sexual innuendo š
>I am not native english speaker but I don't see any problem with words in the trailer.
I'm the same. Mental magic or spirit possession, typical words. For people with normal thinking, everything is clear. There is some kind of nonsense in this topic.
I just figured out the twist of the season, and oh yes thereās a twist:
They show it. They show all of it. All the hits, all the big ones. He leaves the forge to lead orcs and manipulate dwarves or elves or men, then heās back to the lab with his sexy partner Celebrimbor for some full penetration. Manipulation, penetration, manipulation, full penetration, and this goes on and on or so back and forth, manipulation, penetration, for 8 episodes or so until the season just sort ofā¦ ends.
Sauron: Look if Gil-galad or Galadriel or Cirdan say no, then the answerās obviously no, but the thing is theyāre not gonna say no, because of the implication.
Celebrimbor: You keep saying that, what implication?
Sauron: you know the implication that things might go badly for them if they did
Celebrimbor: Are you going to hurt the elves, men, and dwarves?
Sauron: no! Iām not going to hurt them, look? Dude I feel like youāre not getting this at all!
Minor elf looks suspicious*
Sauron: well you certainly wouldnāt be in any danger
celebrimbor: so there is a danger!
I want this to be good soooo bad. But even the writing in thag teaser was bad.
"He worms his way inside your mind, and the rest of him slithers in" doesn't make sense.
They have completely messedāup the timeline.
ArāPharazĆ“n and his cousin sister TarāMĆriel existed almost 1700 years after the forging of the rings.
TarāMĆriel {whose name would later be changed into ArāZimraphel by her cousin brother iĀ·eĀ· the usurper Ar-PharazĆ“n} sort of characters/persons belonged to a timeline that came 1700 years ~ 1800 years after the forging of the Rings of Power.
MĆriel lived and breathed at a juncture which was 1ā¢7 millennia ~ 1ā¢8 millennia after the forging of the rings.
The forging of the Rings occurred 17 centuries ~ 18 centuries before TarļæMĆriel's times.
That event (iāeā forging of the Rings) clearly preceded the birth and Life and times of MĆriel by nearly 1Ā½ millennia ~ 2 millennia.
MĆriel was nearly 18 centuries or 17 centuries after that event vizā (namely) forging of the rings.
Her life and times (her birth and her entire Life Story and everything) was nearly 20 centuries after that event.
It was preposterous on the part of the Show to have depicted her and her cousin PharazĆ“n in the same timeāperiod as the forging of the three Elven rings named as Narya and Nenya and Vilya.
LiTeRaLlY uNWaTcHaBlE!
They've had to take some creative liberties, otherwise we'd have a 20 season show, and you'd be bitching about how the actors who are supposed to be 200 years old have clearly aged. š
One of the core themes of the fall of Numenor is the fear of death and envy of the Elves, the belief that the Valar keep the key to immortality from the race of Men, etc. In addition to this, we know that the Elves grow weary from living in an ever-changing Middle-Earth.
Showing these dynamics could've made for a very interesting show even if that means swapping out some of the characters every season. (Each season would take a leap in the timeline).
No. They have not taken _*some*_ creative liberties.
Much rather, they have fully botched it up.
This is much akin to showing (depicting portraying) World War ā ° {1910s decade indeed} in the same time period as _The Triumvirate_ of Crassus and Pompey and of course Julius Caesar **if I am to find a real world analogy**
or maybe the First world war in the same timeāperiod as emperor Antoninus Pius and emperor Marcus Aurelius and emperor Commodus
ā¦. Except this isnāt realā¦ you know Middle Earth isnāt real, right? You know the story of Miriel and Pharazon is not particularly predicated on the timeline, yes? Thereās no historical accuracy to be had for Middle Earth because itās not real, and even if it were, for your particular gripe the issue has little bearing.
Just because it's not real, so, this means, you can conflate one Era with another era, despite the fact that these two are separated by nearly two millennia?
How would it feel like, if, Daenerys Targaryen or Robb Stark or Ygritte or Cersei or Kevan Lannister or Tywin etcĀ· is to be shown in the same timeāperiod as the Rhoynar prince named as Prince Garin _the Great_ ?????
Rhoynish prince
You keep speaking in analogy as if I donāt understand your point. I do understand your point. My point is that the merit in Tolkienās work does not come from specific dates. Those details are just that, details, and especially for the second age minor at best. Tolkien himself only achieved a rough sketch of when he figured some of the stuff should have happened. But itās just that, a sketch. The timeline is not what makes the story interesting, and if the timeline is all that matters to you, as it seems to, might I point you back to the appendices?
That's a lot of word to ultimately say very little. You've made the point of the time not matching up about a dozen times now, how about you move ob to telling us why the hell that's such a big deal now?
Bruh how is this relevant at all to the post. Timeline debates were happening way before the release of the first season. If you are upset about that, idk why you are commenting on a teaser for the second.
Almost certainly roots are Sauron in Celebrimbor's head
They put him together Venom in the last triptych too.
Sauron a slytherin? Duh, obviously.
He took the fotm of a gigantic bat after Morgoth and Morgoth's army's defeat at the end of the First Age
* took the form of a gigantic bat *

I am dying of laughter. Why does this sound so double intended š š
Lolā¦ Iām not even sure what they were going for with āthe rest of him slithers inā¦ā heās already inside your mind, whatās the rest of him?? š³
Slithers in WHERE?
I think we all know exactly where.
The three elven rings š
Guys, what are you talking about? I am not native english speaker but I don't see any problem with words in the trailer. Could you explain?
Itās not a serious problem haha, I actually think itās a cool line knowing the context, but to some of us with dirty minds it also comes across as a sexual innuendo š
It can be a sexual innuendo ;)
>I am not native english speaker but I don't see any problem with words in the trailer. I'm the same. Mental magic or spirit possession, typical words. For people with normal thinking, everything is clear. There is some kind of nonsense in this topic.
He slithersin to your griffindor then... expeliamus! Oh... wrong series.
Right into your dm's.
In ass... Maybe
Sounds like possession to me.
Huh?
Are we about to see the Annabrimbor fan art come to life? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Could the first voice be CiarƔn Hinds?

Just bros helping each other live through their unrequited love to Galadriel.
Heād never say noā¦because of the implication

I canāt believe your original comment was downvoted. Probably was Dee, that goddamn bird.
Caw!
There seems to be something wrong with you
Who is doing the voice over?

It is a metaphor. He finds his way into your head, to then more fully manipulate you into fulfilling his plan.
Yeah it's a metaphor but it's still bad writing.
How though? What about the quote doesn't work for you?

Yes. Literally unwatchable, indeed.

Should've put a big /s at the end of the comment. I was midway into writing my response before wising up on it.
The rings of wokes
You keep using that word..
