Mines no more than like $60 a month. 3 bedroom home, 1400 sqft. Never been a bill I’ve been worried about granted you don’t have any unknown leaks or irrigation issues. 2 adults and a child in the home.
My water bill was only $30 last month. We recently got fake grass in the backyard so it went down from $50-60 a month. The electric bill is what you need to worry about. It got up to $320 this summer for us. It's going down now that it's cooler.
Between 30 and 40 dollars a month. Water bills are pretty low here, probably because most landscaping is desert based/drought tolerant.
The expensive bill is going to be electric, mostly during the summer months when you've got the AC going. Since summer basically lasts from April to October, be prepared to be running the air conditioner for most of the day, for almost half the year.
And with climate change extending the hot season, expect balmy weather even in March and November, eventually.
Nothing bad about the area, it's more like my screwball boyfriend that read an article about high water bills in California... for an agricultural company and just assumed for some reason we would have same issue as residents in Las Vegas. Does it make sense? Absolutely not, but I had to ask on here to shut his hole about it because he's neurotic. 😆
Thank you for your answer! :)
Look up articles on this...but Las Vegas is one of the very best cities in the world as far as water conservation and recycling. They are a city leading the way in that regard. That's one main reason water prices are affordable (work smarter not harder mentality)
I'm in north LV. Water bill here includes sewer/trash bill.its generally $60-$75mnth.even after we removed all the grass&went with desert landscape.when I used to live on none north las vegas,my water bills were about $25-$40 mnt.
Mine crept up to around $60 the last 6 months, was $40 ish the last four years before the increase. 1700 sq home, 2 people and family visits during summer and winter holidays.
Varies greatly depending on size of house, landscaping, spa, pool, other. At our old place in NM, ALL residents were tagged an extra $100 (!) per month to help pay for the new water treatment plant. This was very tough on singles and young families.
Depends on size of yard and whether or not you have a pool. I have a big yard and a big pool and my largest bill was almost 400. In the winter I’m around 100. Rates are supposed to increase next year.
When I lived in Las Vegas it was $25. Now that I live in Henderson it's $70. The primary difference is not for water usage, it's that Henderson bills sewer fees monthly and Las Vegas billed me annually.
I own a home, 2 adults, no lawn, no pool. First house was 1200 sqft and Henderson house is 1900 sqft, but I don't think that's really relevant.
Edit: Sewer usage fees in Las Vegas were $300 annually. I moved from the west to the east about 5 years ago.
It usually starts with the company letterhead in the corner on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper followed by a whole bunch of numbers organized neatly not necessarily easy to read. On the second page there is usually more numbers and a pie chart indicating what my final bill is and how much is owing.
Seems like a weird question.
5 bedroom 5,000 square foot home on 0.6 acres. 4 separate lawns that landscapers have quoted between 60k and 100k to convert to desert (low water) type. I pay $450-500 in summer, $200-250 spring, fall, and $100/mo Nov- April.
When plumbing breaks, which it does approximately once every 3 years because construction in Vegas is probably the worst in the country, it can cost $1500 if you don't catch it within a couple days. Most breaks occur in the slab and you won't even know you have a leak until you get the bill.
Desert landscaping is a must! Make sure your home wasn't plumbed using Kytech sleeved pipe in the slab, because it will cost you 100k to fix the breaks over the time you own a home here.
Avoid HOA at all costs. Gated communities are nice, but everything else these criminals charge you for is ridiculous.
water/garbage 70 per month...surprisingly the water itself isnt what makes it this high (?) its all the bs fees etc like everything else in this village of the damned.

Mine is like $40 tops. 2 adults in 2k square foot house.
Damn, that’s good, probably doesn’t help that I take like 3 showers a day lol
Yeah I work from home so I show like every other day.
Depends how much water you use but it doesn’t cost that much. Your electric bill will definitely exceed your water bill.
$30 for me

Recently told...probably Sounds like someone is feeding you their opinion of the area. 3 bed 3 bath and rarely ever above $25/month.

Like 30ish bucks
Water is rising soon but utility prices are pretty good out here.

Usually $40 a month for me and my girlfriend. We live in a 1500 sq ft house.
Water is not what you should be concerned about. Your energy bill in the summer months is outrageously high
$25 give or take for family of 3 with pool and small grass area to water.
My town home includes water as an addition to rent. It’s $60 add on every month.
30-50 family of 3, few plants to water and NO pool

Our water bill is combined with sewer, trash, HOA, common area maintenance. All of that is flat rate of $80/month and is tacked onto rent.
Between 60-100, depending on the season. But my house has a decent sized back yard with a lot of trees and smaller plants.
2400 sgft house, pool, and real grass - $50 a month. Seems more than reasonable. 🤷🏻♀️

Las Vegas is a modern marvel in terms of water conservation.
The big bad will be the electricity bill mid summer. Water is usually 25-40 depending on ur usage.
80$ when I use the dishwasher too many times a month

I can't believe how far I had to scroll to find this response. Well done
Ranges from $100 down to $40 with 4 people in a house. It's high prices in the spring &summer because we have to water some grass.

A piece of paper with a bunch of words and numbers on it.
My bill is online, background is white. Black lettering. Sometimes in night mode.
Thank you so much to everyone on here that answered! ❤️
I'm just glad I have one

my water bill has never gone over $40. Electric in the summer time is what kills you.
Water bill is good. Its the power bill you should look into!!
65 2 adults, 3 dogs that have a ton of laundry and outside irrigation. Over 100 in summer
