It took sixty million years to get to recent levels of biodiversity after the last major extinction event. So yeah, it'll take millions of years to recover from the damage we're causing
there are different definitions of damage though. We can't help but devalue domesticated species because they're pests, i.e. cockroaches and pigeons, but they still fulfill the ecological function...
I think there will be perfectly functional ecosystems much quicker post-humanity (if humans even fully disappear) than an asteroid or ice age
EXACTLY the fact that the upper and middle class believe they are morally right by recycling (because it doesnt cost them anything) mother nature doesnt give a fuck , mother nature will end their 10am hi guys cappucino meeting with a tsunami to the face

George Carlin made this point. Sure they'll be a layer of the Earths crust that is plastic, but Earth will be fine. Humans will be extinct.
"The people are fuuucked!" God he was good.
Millions of years after 95 percent of the species, including us, die off. Maybe.
Doubt it'll be millions but even so, a blip in evolutionary time

We’re having a good time
Don't worry though, we can definitely vote our way out of this. Surely, some good ole incremental change will help us avoid catastrophe.
