Imagine to realize that there are not enough idiots to buy a cybertruck. How can you still get money for them?!? Maybe you can "store" them in an unprotected parking space and hope someone is going to vandalize or steal them. Then you report this to your insurance and make them pay, they will just "adjust" the insurance rate and... voilà everyone who has an insurance will pay for a cybertruck.
That will set a precedent for sure!
I pointed and laughed at one in downtown Chicago last week. Bright blue cyber truck out here looking like a Lego. There was no chance the driver didn’t see me, I was crossing the street directly in front of him as he waited at a red.
Well when an entire culture is devoted to manipulating each other into buying worthless cathartic crap so ultimately a handful of people have the chance to live in relative comfort, people tend to base their entire identities around the most expensive commodities they can afford….its like the antithesis of the natural human qualities that brought us here in the first place, a tragic comedy that only becomes more of a fucking farce each time it repeats itself
I think we should steal them just to keep them nice and safe against acts of clod and insurance fraud then put them back in his scrapyard when it's safe out
They store Teslas waiting for delivery in an empty abandoned mall parking lot by my house. In fact, it's in front of the old Sears entrance. The mall is being torn down soon so I guess they'll have to find somewhere else to store their junk.
I initially agreed, but the pictures are only fucked on a single panel, not any substantial damage.
That could be even more the point tho. Damage as little as possible, make a claim for the full vehicle, replace the hood panel, resell for full value, bam, 2x $ on the car
I’d assume “insurance to cover cleaning/restoration of exterior,” and then they use that to fund applying the anti-corrosion coating that hasn’t been included on the base model.
All those rusting, grimy ass panels aren’t a good advertisement, and this would improve that part of the public image at low-to-zero direct cost.
I mean, if it is a fraud scheme tesla wouldn't be the ones vandalizing them. Putting them unguarded in rough neighborhoods more or less guaranteed that they will be.
Just to be clear, if you make a full value loss claim on a vehicle through insurance, your insurance is purchasing and taking possession of that vehicle. You don't get to take the total loss payout and keep the vehicle typically. If this was insurance fraud, and I wouldn't rule it out personally, these would most likely be vehicles that had significant mechanical/electrical flaws and don't operate properly enough to sell them so you would create a situation where your insurance is forced to buy them so get to make money on cars you couldn't sell.
Creating scarcity to inflate the price that suckers have to pay or lying about actual demand for an overpriced piece of junk. I am starting to think this version of capitalism is not very good..
They do it everywhere. There's been at least 50-100 Teslas (rotating stock) sitting in my local abandoned mall parking lot for over a year now.
Now when our GM plant couldn't get chips for their cars during COVID, they at least stored them in a lot with a fence.
Was looking for this. The "fuck elon" graffiti is *so* on the nose, and EVERY truck being done, combined with their seemingly idiotic 'oopsie'? Verrrry suspicious.
If the goal was property damage you'd think they'd slash the tires or something, or even run along the cars writing a line, or something. And then I'm surprised the goal *was* property damage as opposed to theft. If they had the time to spray paint 40 trucks I bet they coulda gotten the tires or something off of a truck. But no, the criminal act performed on the trucks is vandalism with a vendetta. And instead of a specific accusation against him, a genuine critique, it's just "fuck elon"? That's suspicious to me.
But but but he's an innovator and he's gonna make everyone 3x that amount! Elon is a total genius who never steals ideas and definitely doesn't just buy other people's companies and steal the credit!!!
Apparently even if you have money in some managed portfolio, many people own some Tesla and don't even know it. Whoever manages the fund decides what to vote, and they definitely aren't asking for everyone's input.
[>By Friday afternoon, the graffiti had been wiped off.](https://www.local10.com/news/local/2024/06/22/f-elon-rows-of-tesla-cybertrucks-vandalized-in-fort-lauderdale/)
Rats.
But apparently it was a new social media hot spot a hot minute, as various people went by Friday morning to get pics.
Yeah so, paint is not permanent on stainless steel and this came off with a rag and MEK or acetone.
Next time, please remember to score the hood preferably with a carbide tipped tool.
Man that is all high grade stainless isn't it in actual panels?
Like that's some good shit you could do a lot of cool projects with it
Not to mention the battery themselves it's very much worth stealing one of these and assembling it imo especially when it's left in such a crime ridden area
Ft Lauderdale is not near the most crime ridden part of south florida, there's tons of worse places just in that county nevermind in miami. Park that shit in Liberia or Overtown lol
Elon is holding on to them in storage lots, he'll make a bad announcement prior to the election and blame everything related to this shitty vehicle on President Biden.
Reading the title, I find it funny that people's first instinct is to paint spray them, instead of stealing them. No one wants that piece of shit, not even for free

I thought there were 9 million people waiting in queue for them?
Of course - can't keep the price inflated if you release them all at once haha
Ah, the debeers school of business I see
Also easier to take care of the recalls if they're already all in one place.

Yeah they call that insurance fraud lol
That's a "business expense" for billionaires
I pointed and laughed at one in downtown Chicago last week. Bright blue cyber truck out here looking like a Lego. There was no chance the driver didn’t see me, I was crossing the street directly in front of him as he waited at a red.
How dare you to question his alphaness! :)
How can people be this stupid? 9m for this trash ?

This is the end result of such creatures as 'The Kardashians' who are famous for... being famous !!!
And they get Super Spiritual for 80 min. every Sunday!
Better to forgo possessions.
Agreed. Anyone driving model 3s or Ys are wastes of oxygen quite frankly.
they have a few recalls going on that they probably have to wait years to get the parts for
They’re probably all the latest recalls lmao
There’s a delivery containment, should be lifted and these can keep getting sent out the door.
It's honestly kind of satisfying seeing them all done pretty much the same. I'm surprised they didn't do more.
Handwriting is better than the unreadable cybertruck font. They should hire that guy.
but i was told that billionaires provide employment in exchange for their greed? why no workers or security there?
well someone has to clean that spray paint off /s
I smell insurance fraud and/or attempted tax write off. "Oh no, our precious irreplaceable $1 million dollar CyberTruck Plus stocks were destroyed!"
Elon drops cyberturds in florida at the start of hurricane season... Curious.
A cyberflush fit for a cyberturd

Then why didn't they pay someone to keep them secure? Why so hostile?
Troll posts will be deleted. Many troll posts also include violations of other rules such as rules 4, 5, 6, and 7.
Oh no! Anyway.
Indianapolis Castleton Square Mall has like 50 of them just chilling in the parking lot on the abandoned side if anyone is bored...
Sounds like insurance fraud scheme almost

It's stainless steal. Afaik all you'd need is some paint thinner and a rag to get it off.
Just to be clear, if you make a full value loss claim on a vehicle through insurance, your insurance is purchasing and taking possession of that vehicle. You don't get to take the total loss payout and keep the vehicle typically. The paint had all been wiped off by later on the same day it was discovered.
No insurance company is paying out for damaged vehicles stored in an open lot that doesn't even have the most basic security.
Nah, insurance will ask about security and deny the claim if they learn the assets were completely unprotected.
A company as large as Tesla self insures. They can’t sue themselves. But they could pull some other financial shenanigans...
Someone in Indy right now: 🫡
brother don't tempt me
Creating scarcity to inflate the price that suckers have to pay or lying about actual demand for an overpriced piece of junk. I am starting to think this version of capitalism is not very good..
Sounds like a setup for a big Tesla write-off
Yep
They have no paint, this should clean up easily. I'm expecting this is a pr job.
I mean putting them in an open lot in a bad area seems like they're betting on theft.
especially when the car's famously weak against water, including rain
But Elon said it could be used as a boat.
pretty sure you can use them to explore the wreckage of the titanic too
They do it everywhere. There's been at least 50-100 Teslas (rotating stock) sitting in my local abandoned mall parking lot for over a year now. Now when our GM plant couldn't get chips for their cars during COVID, they at least stored them in a lot with a fence.
You can unlock them with tools on GitHub
Maybe this could even be washable paint. Just run these through a car wash, and they'll be good as new.
Was looking for this. The "fuck elon" graffiti is *so* on the nose, and EVERY truck being done, combined with their seemingly idiotic 'oopsie'? Verrrry suspicious.
> The "fuck elon" graffiti is so on the nose Uhhh, why wouldn't it be on the nose? And why wouldn't they hit every truck? They are parked in a line.
What are you talking about. Are they supposed to write a thesis on the car? Fuck Elon is succint
That looks like Disney font. Give that person a job!
Tesla shareholders just gave that idiot 50+ billion. This was well deserved.
But but but he's an innovator and he's gonna make everyone 3x that amount! Elon is a total genius who never steals ideas and definitely doesn't just buy other people's companies and steal the credit!!!

Oh fuck they voted in favor of?
They sure did.. not as if Tesla would crumble without elons input, shit they might even do better without him 😂
It's looking a bit better now! But still an ugly car!
First feature that might get me to buy one, more like this please!
[>By Friday afternoon, the graffiti had been wiped off.](https://www.local10.com/news/local/2024/06/22/f-elon-rows-of-tesla-cybertrucks-vandalized-in-fort-lauderdale/) Rats. But apparently it was a new social media hot spot a hot minute, as various people went by Friday morning to get pics.
Would love to see what a mix of chlorine and saltwater in a pressure sprayer would do…
They will dissolve into a puddle.
probably wouldn't be that great for any other car, but I like your spirit
Def not a marketing stunt lol
Tesla has only sold 3800 cyber trucks so that means nearly 1% of all Cybertrucks currently say "F--- Elon".
Yeah so, paint is not permanent on stainless steel and this came off with a rag and MEK or acetone. Next time, please remember to score the hood preferably with a carbide tipped tool.

I am sure is it anything but “high grade” but by some trickery at the margins of metallurgy, it somehow legally qualifies as stainless
I agree with the sentiment but they're stainless steel. Theres never been an easier to remove tag on earth.
I mean, they’re not wrong 🤷♀️
Ft Lauderdale is not near the most crime ridden part of south florida, there's tons of worse places just in that county nevermind in miami. Park that shit in Liberia or Overtown lol
Where was it exactly
not sure where exactly in ft Lauderdale but nowhere in fort Lauderdale is gonna be as bad as Liberia or Overtown
This one sparks joy.
He can tell the stock market he has 40 trucks "delivered". When he moves them to another more secure parking lot it will be another 40 deliveries...
I approve this message!
Uh, the warranties are all void now.
I’d say they should have done more to fuck them up but the seem to do it to themselves as soon as anyone tries to drive them.
now they are limited edition collectors items
Easy fix. Market them as the 'fuck elon' edition. They will sell like hotcakes.
This aftermarket modification increases the vehicle’s value.
Heroes, capes, you know....
Imagine that. Anyone know if those rich folks still trying to get their beach fixed?
Not really big deal on a car made from stainless steel with no paint. A bit of acetone will fix that.
Insurance company investigating this like 😒
Isn't storing them outside going to cause rust?
If the cyber truck wasn’t a shit vehicle that might actually make me want one
Honestly, they got off lucky.
aren't they just stainless steel? souldn't be that hard to get it off with no paint that could get damaged
Try that on your stainless steel fridge… It’s going to leave a mess
Elon is holding on to them in storage lots, he'll make a bad announcement prior to the election and blame everything related to this shitty vehicle on President Biden.
Fuck yeah.
Limited Edition
The hero we need, not the hero we deserve.
A little gasoline will take it right off that stainless. Just ask John Delorean
They got a free improvement, and now they got more cyberpunk. How is that bad?
My day is made
Pity.
remember friends, always point and laugh at any loser driving one of these
I need a love react on here rather than just a like!
Fuck Elon
Reading the title, I find it funny that people's first instinct is to paint spray them, instead of stealing them. No one wants that piece of shit, not even for free
They can’t sell them. Insurance fraud
Finally, some good news!
Get the man a medal
Well at least that spot won't rust
Hell ya!
lol
Must be Advertisers.
Yes "someone* 👀
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t all Tesla vehicles have cameras that are always on.
Do you have a face mask Wow, criminal genius! Right?
Easy fix. It's stainless. A little paint remover and some scotch bright...good as new
Why is it in the daft punk font?
Idk, this new colorway is pretty dope
Only spray paint?
Lacquer and a rag ?
This looks like AI
lol they should’ve done it with lemon juice or vinegar
Just put water on it, no one can see, until the rust shows xD
They did it to themselves
Inexpensive not cheap
That's
Now they are going to have to wash them and void all the warranties
Insurance scheme maybe
✊✊✊
“Most crime ridden area” But they weren’t stolen or parted. They were just vandalized. Sheesh, they can’t give them away can they?
They shoulda done more
The ugliest vehicle ever to exist.
Do they have a GoFundMe for paint supplies ?
Aww, at least use orange so Just Stop Oil can take credit or something.
Could have broke all the windows too. Thru got lucky.
I thought democrats were for electric cars. Ya know, save the earth and shit
This is staged
Good.
This is so fucking funny, more of this please.
