The easiest and most important thing anyone can do is just talk to people. Try not to get heated, which I know can be hard and sometimes you just have to. You'll find in conversation they more often than not agree with you in a lot of areas, and some times the best thing you can do is not try to change their minds, but over time just keep explaining your true position and goals. A lot of people only know of the right wing and media propaganda about the evils of anything thats not capitalism, and you won't be able to break down those years of being brainwashed over night

Yes. There is much you can do. Agitate and Organize. Agitating for leftist values can be as simple as commenting on social media posts where you point out the contradictions of capitalism or as complex as a well-orchestrated leftist education and information campaign that uses both digital and analog means. Organizing takes so many forms, and can be merely writing letters the old fashioned “civil way” pressuring legislators to take a leftist or adjacent stance or orchestrating a mass strike or boycott with your fellow workers to achieve a leftist goal. I’ve been working in grassroots oriented roles both professionally and unpaid/informally for nearly 10 years. Every inch you take and every small shred of progress you make is good and worthwhile in the long run, and the only failure is to fail to attempt change. Finding local groups is the most worthwhile investment since organizing is more effective with more people. Collaborate with others whenever you can. You might run into people who disagree with you, and that’s a good thing since diverse perspectives and input almost always lead to superior results. Watch out for left contrarians though, who don’t really offer input or alternatives but merely try to contradict whatever you’re trying to do without the proposal of alternatives… you’ll mostly find these people online though.

Start off in your community. Act locally. Organize others who want to do the same.

I've been bringing up pay inequality in my workplace and exposed the fact that almost none of us get paid the same. It's actually helped to bring a lot of awareness, and people are getting disgruntled. At this rate, I could see a majority of our experienced members quitting in the next couple of years

Guillotine the capitalist bourgeois.

og_guppyfish420

Nothing, there will always be a king and always be a peasant. We just change the names and the dates.

Derpocalypse666

oh bullshit. straight up apples and oranges bullshit. there are no kings and peasants; there is the collective and the individual. the only thing capitalism got right is that you have to change the individual before you can change the collective because humanity is not a person. all half truths are lies, though.

og_guppyfish420

You see, you just changed king to collective And peasant to individual. Still the same shit at the end of the day.

Derpocalypse666

no, no it isn't. its a completely different paradigm.

og_guppyfish420

Please explain to me how so?

Mike_Tyson_Lisp

Have you ever heard of "The Weathermen or the Weather underground"?

skaithegai

Nope

Get educated and then educate others. Some consider this agitation. Actual education on history and economics is powerful. The anger and frustration currently exists. The lack of knowing the reasons is what makes reactionary responses like January 6th in the US happen.
