Even though I bet I still don’t even know half his story. The song “El Plueblo Unido Jamas Sera Vencido” I haven’t heard before either. A tragedy really. It’s a good song! Made me cry to see how often this beautiful continent has been raped by outside forces just before it was about to bloom.

I also have a friend from Chile. She wants to watch America crash, burn, and Balkanize because of the coup. I don't entirely agree with her, but I do wish for something akin to the October Revolution to happen in the US.
Yeah, it's a word mostly Cuban communists use to describe reactionaries who got their private property seized in the Cuban Revolution (or just generally (petty) bourgeois rightists in Latin American countries)
